Showed the employee working a picture of the item and he went out of his way to get this for us. He explained some of inventory was in boxes due to returning from a convention, but he would look into it. He sent a picture to the manager who confirmed they had the item and he went into the boxes to grab it for us. He really made a huge difference for us, as this was the only thing our 7 year old wanted for their birthday. The employee was so helpful in answering any questions we had and made our experience pleasant. The selection at the store is great and we enjoyed browsing the variety of products. The selection is huge and regularly changing. It can be a bit hard to find older anime/manga merch but as of yesterday I was able to find some Trigun(1997) items which I thought was fun! If you or your children like Pokémon, you're in for a treat!! The staff knows so much about everything!! Each of them are the human Wikipedia of their favorite genres. It's so refreshing to be able to ask if they know something like --- and be directed to something you will love! They are welcoming and warm, if you have questions don't hesitate to ask. The TV in the front is always playing a different anime which is a cool way to find new anime's to watch! Just Games is located in a large strip plaza in Penfield, and can be a bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with the area (i.e. me). However, once inside, it feels like you've left the hustle and bustle of the plaza behind. The manager (owner?) of the store was super nice and showed me a few things in the store, gave me their normal schedule of events, and made sure to introduce himself and get my name as well. I purchased some sleeves for one of my games and signed up for their free customer rewards program. As well as having your normal Magic the Gathering cards and supplies, the store boasts a large collection of tabletop games and accessories. Newer titles were on the shelf as well as plenty of expansions and other goodies. The store itself has a large collection of games that customers are welcome to open up and play while in the shop, and if desired, rented out for a small fee. This was probably the highlight of my visit. I tried out a couple new games and made mental notes of the games I wanted to come back and play/rent. Despite living about 75 miles away, I fully plan on taking a trek back out here to join a game night and meet some new people, learn new games, and enjoy what this shop has to offer.

Boldo's is closer to the second experience; it's on the smaller side, dark, and mysterious. The store has two floors, the first has their small selection of games and cards for sale while the second is overflow for their events. While it may not have the size and selection of other stores it does make up for it in charm and small local business. The people who run the events are knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate making it my preferred place when I'd play in leagues. Hungry? Ashort walk or drive from great good like Han's or Dogtown, you can satisfy your hankerings while doing a marathon of pre-release events. Boldo's is truly a hidden gem for tabletop enthusiasts of Rochester.
