Hobby Lobby helped me achieve that goal, as being my go to choice. Purchased a beautiful coffee mug that had my Cousin's initial "S". Purchased inspirational framed quotes because she deals with very challenging case work. These items can also transition to home after her career is over. Really enjoyed the incredible variety of products they offer. So many beautiful items to view for artistic hobbies, crafts, or home decor. The home decor section is also a huge plus, making it easy to find pre-made seasonal items like wall art and holiday ornaments. The store is generally well-organized and easy to navigate, which makes browsing through the aisles a pleasant experience. Also appreciate their frequent sales and rotating deals, which allow you to get high-quality store-brand items at a much better price than name brands. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the checkout process can occasionally be slow peak hours. Overall, it's a solid choice. read more

I was so excited to go to Hobby Lobby and thrilled that they finally opened a location in Manhattan. Unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. I'm not sure if my expectations were too high or if the store just wasn't prepared, but checkout was extremely frustrating. There were many registers open, yet the lines were incredibly long and moved very slowly. To make matters worse, the two cashiers at the registers next to each other were having conversations as if there wasn't a huge line of customers waiting between both of them.When I finally got to the cashier, he said he didn't know how to use the scanner gun he said that it wasn't working, so he had to manually enter the code for every single item. It made the process take forever and definitely took away from what should have been a fun shopping experience. They had sign up about all the sales they had yet a lot of the stuff were pretty pricey. read more

I just picked up my Christmas tree at the new Hobby Lobby in Tribeca--went with the 5' Whimsical Tree, which has a curved, Grinch-like look and worked perfectly for my holiday setup. Customer service was friendly and efficient, and the checkout process was quick. The store is very large--about 75,000 square feet. For context, that's bigger than a football field, including the end zones (57,600 sq ft). Because of the size, there's a wide range of items across categories like seasonal décor, arts and crafts, home décor, floral, and more. This Hobby Lobby, located at 270 Greenwich Street, opened in May 2025 as the brand's first Manhattan location. It's on the second floor of the building that also houses Whole Foods. Hours are Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the store is closed on Sundays. Overall, I found the selection to be broad, the prices reasonable, and the staff helpful. Wow this place is huge! Expect to spend time if you really want to browse. They have so much in store ranging from Halloween decor, frames, home decor, games, plushies, clothing, calendars, etc. Trust me, the list does go on. There are staff around the store and in the aisles if you need assistance. You can find many things for decent decent prices. Went to browse and was going to head back again, but it closed at 5:30 because of Labor Day. Do appreciate that it was open though. Definitely will be back to things on my list! read more

In the World Trade Center, Brookfield Place area. It's a pretty large store and I had time so I went around. Good prices and large variety of themed decor, crafts/art/supplies, gift/party/home items, etc. Very organized. Kept in mind not to get large or heavy things bec. had to take the train home. Massive store located on the southern edge of Tribeca. The sheer variety of invedntory is mind-boggling--arts and crafts, home décor, floral arrangements, fabrics, kitchen supplies, frames, party goods--the list goes on and on. With over 80,000 products, I estimated that if you spent 30 seconds browsing each one, it would take nearly a month to get through the entire store. Most items are deeply discounted and appear to be sourced primarily from China--which feels a bit at odds with the company's branding around traditional American values. The choice of location is surprising. This is premium real estate with steep rents, and many local residents might avoid the store due to ongoing controversies around its HR policies and publicly stated beliefs. It's unclear how the economics of this location will work in the long run. That said, the store is conveniently located and earns high marks for its breadth of products--if you're willing to put in the time to find what you're looking for in their sprawling space. read more

There's a tremendous amount of products in this very large store, some of which is very welcome and unavailable elsewhere in the neighborhood. But Hobby Lobby should be ashamed of themselves for not catering to the large JEWISH community in NYC. Instead of ordering on Amazon I went to try to support this local business and I was looking for Hanukkah candles and menorahs. They have none of either but plenty of Christmas supplies. Not everyone celebrates Christmas and also some of us would be happy to shop on Sundays but HL has chosen to stay closed. read more

I'm loving this place! Hobby Lobby is two stores big! What Barnes and Noble and Bed, Bath and Beyond used to occupy is now a crafty place! Come up the escalator! Lots of furniture and home goods mixed into craft aisles as well as Bibles, crosses and religious books and motivational works are available to uplift you! If that is not enough aisles are filled and furniture specials spill outside of the store as displays! There is a sewing section with fabric by the yard, sewing notions and machines. I didn't have enough time to look some more but tucked further down are more aisles of probably fine art supplies! Don't forget to check out the deals and the sales flyer! Sales staff are friendly and extremely helpful!I came back on another occasion and couldn't wait for the long, slow line, so I told a cashier who was closing and he radioed another cashier to come because I was in a rush and he told me to go to a specific register to wait! The cashier came immediately and I made it back just in time for my meeting! Nothing like a late lunch break to Hobby Lobby! read more

Brand new and already deceptive advertising. In the frame section, there are two big signs in front of frames that say 50% off. When I got to the register, I was told that none of the merchandise behind the signs is on sale!. There its apparently very fine print (See photos) that say 'everyday' items don't count. I've never been to this store and had no idea what that meant. Any reasonable person would be deceived. I asked fore the manager, Millie, and pointed it out. She in a motor vehicles clerk kind of a way said there was nothing she could do. I then called customer service. Same thing - unconcerned - not even interested. There is no way to email management. They only accept physically mailed letters. Also, they don't accept any phone payments like Apple Pay or others. Only cash and physical cards. read more
