Got sat right away (table for 2). What we ordered: - 2 mexican mochas 5/5 - hi hat omie 4/5 - omelet with sausage,cheese, and it came with a salsa 5/5 And ofcorse our side was coffee cake. After many breakfasts here the girlfriend says I should write the review. Today is running errands & getting the car serviced day, and since my mechanic is right across the street, shout out to Joya Auto, I drop off the car & came over for delicious grub. Originally, I wanted to head into the City for the day, but the girlfriend, who is the Killer of Fun, suggested staying local on account of the ridiculous gas prices and that i had errands to run. she said Hobee's has great coffee cakes & omelettes so we will eat well. The last time we had the Mt View omelette with a side of the coffee cake for her & a French Toast for me. A little bit of a wait to check in, sat down for less than 10 min for a table for 2. Service was quick. Lots of American choices with some Mexican dishes too. Food was good, loved that we were able to customize the famous coffee cake as it said on the menu. My omelette choice looked good on the menu but wasn't feeling it when I got it. Parking is plentiful but not easy to find. The ambiance is quite busy. However the service isn't slow by any means nor is it blazing fast. I ordered Stanford "cardinal" omelette (1/5): quite terrible. The dish was loaded with oil. The omelette was bland and had a mushy texture. The potatoes were dry. They say Google/apple pay is accepted here but it didn't seem like it when I handed my card over to pay. Overall, there are other places that have better food than Hobees. My husband and I decided to stop for breakfast before our flight back home last week Sunday. The restaurant was right in front of Motel 6 so it made parking a bit tricky because there are only a few spots in front. We were lucky that someone was leaving the hotel and were able to park in the back. We were seated right away and our beverage order was taken. The restaurant had a typical diner vibe, was clean, casual and inviting. A few minutes later our waitress took our order. My husband had the cinnamon orange swirl French toast and fried potatoes. I had the super veggie scramble that came with my choice of bread, hashbrowns, or a piece of blueberry coffee cake. I chose the coffee cake. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his French toast and I really enjoyed my egg scramble. My eyes could believe the size of the blueberry coffee cake that I received. It was huge and it came warm with butter melting on top of the cinnamon topping. It was heavenly. If we didn't live out of state I would definitely have bought a whole coffee cake to take home which they sell at the front counter. My husband and I went to Hobee's last Saturday. It was a 15min wait at 11am. Host and servers were pleasant like always. We tried the Oct specials, harvest hash and eggs and autumn omme. Both were delicious and unique. If you like seasonal foods and don't mind some Gorgonzola cheese I recommend. The salted caramel latte gives Starbucks a run for its money. I always love to go to Hobee's. Their coffee cake is amazing. You can order a tin of it to go for $20 or so. At this time of year (approximately Thanksgiving through New Year's) they have the cranberry coffee cake, which is the best, imo. The pro tip is to call ahead and preorder it; otherwise they may not have any ready when you get there. But if you like their regular blueberry flavor (also excellent) you can usually get it without calling ahead. Today I ordered one of their specials, the Autumn Hash (I may be remembering the name wrong) with roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, bacon, dried cranberries, arugula, and two poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce. Also comes with choice of coffee cake, home fries or toast. It was to die for!! Too bad it's seasonal and I likely won't be able to get it next time I visit. Highly recommended, though! I went to Hobee's with family who claimed it was organic and tasty. Unfortunately, the restaurant feels way too outdated. The waiter took our order, in which 3 of us decided on sweet potato instead of regular potatoes, and we all were served regular potatoes. So, instead of taking the plates back to swap out the potatoes, they brought a plate of sweet potatoes. We were full of potatoes! My order was simple- over medium eggs, sweet potatoes, and a side of bacon. My experience was minimal and I ended up with a stomach ache. I visit Hobee's with my favorite niece for the first time in my life. I am soooo impressed. The place is clean and comfortable to seat and enjoy time together with anyone specially love ones. The food was so good and fresh. I got some chilaquiles with chorizo and I love them. My niece got some healthy white eggs. As soon as we arrived my niece got a smile fruit dessert and that was very kind, it makes her feel special and I got the credit for that . They give me coffee cake to taste and it was amazing. Our favorite part other than the food was the Customer Service. Everyone that came to our table to bring coffee, deserts and more are so kind and very respectful. Our server, Tina, was very attentive to my every request and very friendly. I ordered the "huevos Benedictos", which is a Benedict with salsa, avocado and tomatoes. I also ordered a side of the hash browns, with "guido" add on, which was topped with just the right amount of cheese and pesto. For this review, I ordered lemon blueberry pancakes, and every bite was fluffy and delicious. You have the option to get coffee cake instead of hash browns, and from past experience, the coffee cake with butter is to die for. One of my eggs was poached hard, and Tina fixed that right away by getting me another set of eggs poached easy. I will confirm that if you're looking for a quick pit stop for some healthy breakfast options in Sunnyvale, this place might cut it. Their menu is rich. I mean with all the permutations combinations of blueberries, cinnamon, artichoke, what could go wrong. Peppering raw onions as a garnish over the omelette certainly could. I didn't enjoy the onion overlay over my omelette. The stuffing of chicken, artichoke and mushroom saved the day for me else I would have taken off a Yelp star. The coffee cake is a favorite at this place. Nothing stood extraordinary to me. Other than the portion size. It almost defeats the purpose of eating healthy when you have a huge slab of cake accompanying as side for your omelette. For beverages, I took the chai latte with oat milk. Randomly stumbled upon this place as I was looking for somewhere to sit down and eat brunch. They offered outdoor dining with socially distanced tables, and the wait only took about 10 minutes. I was in the area and stopped by Hobee's for a quick bite. I've never been since there isn't one by my house, but I knew it's been around for years and years. The place was what I expected for a local breakfast diner spot. I already knew what I wanted for breakfast, which was chilaquiles. I placed my order as soon as I sat down, and the helpful server ran through all the possible sides and mods. I got my food in 5 minutes tops. The chilaquiles wasn't the best. I wasn't expecting it to be out of this world or reimagined, but they could've salted the scrambled eggs. Also the chips clearly weren't that great of quality. Totally fine that they're store bought, but Hobee's needs to invest in thicker chips. I didn't get one single crunch! All the chips were limp and soggy by the time it came out. We had started out at a different restaurant nearby and that place was so short staffed, two frazzled people were trying to get people seated, orders taken, food delivered, and checks settled.
