I popped in for a quick meal and ordered the Royal Omelette to go. When I got home I discovered that my toast was missing. The portion of hash browns was extremely paltry. As for the main course - the omelette. I was glad to see other reviews as shocked as I was to see the cheese on top of the omelette and not in it. And like other folks I thought the whole meal was rather unseasoned. The location itself was nice. The servers fine. But the price - 19 bucks for an oddly put together omelette. This is a good place for a quick breakfast with some decent standard breakfast items. The service was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the standard Egg's Benedict and while the eggs were done perfectly the hollandaise sauce was a little watery. The ham had little flavor or seasoning. However, the hash browns were done crisply and the sausage was tasty. My wife had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant which apparently was pretty good. There isn't anything to make them stand out among breakfast joints but I'd give them another try. WE SO WANTED TO LIKE THIS PLACE! We tried this place because of the variety of their on-line menu. We were seated immediately. I ordered DECAFE and my wife ordered a soft drink. The DECAFE had the consistency of used motor oil and tasted like it. I emptied the entire contents of the creamer into the cup, and it kept the same color and the taste. THEN the server asked if I wanted to try the DECAFE that I had originally ordered. I did and it was just as bad. Our food arrived quickly. (A little too quickly, I thought). We both ordered Patty Melts. They were Patty Melts only in an academic sense in that they had a patty, cheese, and some onions on rye bread. The bread was soggy from too much butter. The onion rings had no crust, no breading, no batter. They could have come straight from the frozen aisle to the microwave. There was nothing else on the plate. NOTHING. Just the sandwich and the rings staring back at you from an otherwise naked plate. No garnish, no pickle, no pickle spear. Nothing. Inexplicably, the grilled Jalapenos arrived mid meal and only after my wife went over and asked about them. They turned out to be the best part of the meal. The condiment containers (salt, pepper, ketchup, Tapatio Sauce, Cholula Sauce) were sticky and filled to about an inch from the bottom of the containers. I'm generally not a complainer and seldom post reviews. I can't recall ever leaving a negative review. But in this case, I couldn't not post an honest review. Me and my mom came to eat here it wasn't extremely busy but decently. The server took our order about 20 minutes after we got here. Mind you we were not the last to enter. Other customers groups of two or more, same as us, got to place their orders well before us, and it wasn't just one or two groups but like 3 or 4. Almost an hour inside this cafe and we still hadn't gotten served our food. Coffee got brought out to us 30 minutes after arriving. Honestly , previous rating was excellent , that is why I brought people where but after the lack of any kind of service while waiting in the hot sun and seeing the need for a deep clean of the outside area , can not come back. I very nice quiet cafe great for a sharing a meal with a friend or taking you father out. Service is great, the waiters take your order and within 10 minutes your meal is ready. I ordered a classic eggs Benedict with a side of bacon. The eggs were poached but needed a tad longer for my personal preference. The hollandaise sauce really laxked the flavor or that nice balance of flavor and found it extremely bland. The Canadian ham needed to be kissed on the stove longer as mine tasted more like ham that needed to be on a sandwich. The hashbrowns were cooked well. The bacon was by far the highlight as it was crispy but not super hard.
