It is a great neighborhood Sports Bar with a pizza parlor attached to it. The Waitresses are friendly and the patrons are very pleasant. The bar food is excellent and on the pizza side there are games for young adults and children to play. They have a great selection of brewskis and a wide selection of liquor. I go there with my cousin because I am from out of state and we have a great time there. There are plenty of TVs available to watch your favorite sporting event. read more

Definitely some of the worst service I have ever received, our waitress was chit chatting up tables while we went without napkins or silverware while we ate our appetizer. I don't like to complain about bad service but this should be recognized and Hobnobbers should look into retraining some people. At least the food was fair. read more

Earlier this week, I returned to Muggzies....ooops....Hobnobbers for a 3rd time since they opened. I will continue to give them the benefit of the doubt as they are obviously trying to work out some kinks in the systems. But, at what point do you simply say this place isn't cutting it? I REALLY WANT Hobnobbers to succeed as it is two minutes from where we live. But this latest visit was perhaps the worst of my 3 visits. I went with my 19 year old daughter. She ordered a Pepsi. I ordered a tap beer. 10 minutes later we had beverages....and it was not crowded, about half full at 7:30 on a Monday evening. We then ordered beer nuggets (plain) and chicken wings. We asked for them to arrive together as we were simply snacking for our dinner. 25 minutes later, the beer nuggets arrived. Ouch. In the meantime, the Manager wandered over and we explained that the wings seemed to be taking quite a while to prepare. She shook her head as she said they obviously should arrive simultaneously. She departed and about 5 minutes later the wings appeared. The beer nuggets were good as it's pretty tough to mess up fried dough. The wings were overcooked and tough. The manager, who previously had seemed to be doing an awesome job when the establishment was Muggzies, never returned to see how everything was, nor was any consideration given on the bill as we paid in full. The previous two experiences were similar as food orders (burgers the 1st time and slider sandwiches the 2nd time) were messed up. Both times the servers shook their heads and muttered the kitchen messes up every order. They did however, cheerfully bring back the food and promptly replaced with the correct orders. As one reviewer mentioned, maybe I should just stay away for a few weeks until they have a chance to get their act together. Seems like a good idea. read more

Have had the opportunity to stop in on a couple of different occasions. Pizza is very good, the garlic dough nuggets as an appetizers are out of this world. Nice family atmosphere with my kids. Will continue to go back. read more

I have to rate this at least with one star but honestly they don't even deserve that. Service was horrible right from the beginning, sat downat 6 and was approached by our server 10 minutes later ordered 2. Drinks a bloody Mary with the vodka that was on special for that day and Dos Equis. Now to start our server tessa was unsure what dos equis was and second i was told that my bloody Mary was going to be full price even though i ordered the vodka on special. We Ordered pretzel bites. The drinks took 40 minutes to get to us even though the place was not busy. Our appitizer came out first. Appitizer was finished before we got our drinks which i had to even ask because she was about to take our food order when I asked to speak to a manager i was told that they were not there and that I would receive a call back but bartender Sherri took off our drinks. There was a manager present as I saw someone walking alround with a manager swipecard. We choose not to eat here as it took 40 minutes jus to get 2 simple drinks. The bartender seems incompitant, arrogant, and completly rude as she treated me stupid and texted her manager with my concerns. And you're underage server is not properly trained and by law should not be handeling alcohol as I saw her deliver beers to a table. read more

Went here on a Friday night and loved that they had the Sycamore football game on every TV. Nice touch for a local restaurant/bar. Good selection of beers- had a couple Green Lines. We had several appetizers for our meal, all were good. We tried two of the nuggets - garlic parmesan were really good as were the funnel cake nuggets. Those could easily be dessert. Service was great even though they seemed to be pretty busy. Overall, great time in a fun sports bar. read more

I have been here a few times. I really like the food and they have a good selection of beer. I definitly would enjoy this place more often since I live close if they would hire better Bartenders, Cold is how I like my beer but not in a bartender. Ironically Amanda has been the bartender for all of my visits and she is the reason I will no longer spend my money in that establishment. The Day after christmas I thought I would unwind and have a few drinks and mabye a burger, Amanda took her time greeting me, but choose to finish the conversation she was currently in before she walked over to me. "what can I get for you?" she managed to ask without a smile. (Better attitude...New Bartender...Good service were the replies that flooded my mind) I asked what kind of rum they had, and this must have annoyed her, obviously upset with my question she started to spew out what rums they had ( Starting with the Well Brand) , I interupted her and just got a beer. I got my own menu and waited for her to take my order, finished my beer and continued to wait. I fished for a $5 tossed it on the bar and left. She must be related to the owner or something because her attitude definitly seems untouchable. while waiting for my order to be taken I was able to hear her complain about other staff members. If you dont like your co-workers and you dont like your guests why are you still employed? 2 stars is all I could give. Nothing wrong with the food, when my order has been taken it has always been hot and tasty, no complaints there. Its a great looking bar with loads of space. my advice is not to sit at the bar. read more

Makings of a real winner. Decent food, real apparent commitment to community. Neighborhood bar type of environment. At end of day, comes down to service. Not good. Bad strategy with the 'Bambi' bartenders. Take a page out of PJ's book, hire bartenders with experience/expertise. Who cares what they look like if they suck at there job. I have visited Hobnobbers a few times and enjoyed the pizza and nuggets. The service is always lacking. This last visit was very disappointing. Hobnobbers had a sign by the door that said, "Please Seat Yourself." So I looked around, and since no one approached me, I tried to find a table that would fit the 8 of us in our party. There were no tables available for 8 (how can you seat yourself when no tables are available?). So I asked a server if we could combine the only two tables that were free. She said, no, that one of them were reserved, but we could have the corner booth. That would be open in 5 - 10 minutes. I said that would be fine, and that I would wait by the door for them to leave. As I was waiting for at least 5 minutes, I could here a staff member speaking to the party next me, telling them the exact same thing I was told. I looked over and said, "Oh, I'm Sorry, we were told we could have that table." The staff member responded with, "I'm sorry they were here first." Which could be, it was busy. So I said, "Oh, but we were told 5 minutes ago that we could have that table." The staff member just looked at me, and the man she was helping looked at me with a smug smile on his face and said, "Too Bad." Well at that point I had about had it. While I waited for my husband to come out of the bathroom, no one approached me, apologized for the mistake, or asked if they could get another table for us. So we left and took our business elsewhere. Later, I thought that a manager, owner, or someone in charge should know what had happened, so I told them about the experience in the "contact us" section of their website. It's been about a week, I still haven't gotten a response. I would think at least, for good business sense, an apology would be sent, but no such luck. read more
