Hobo Hilss Gold is across from the Holiday Inn Hotel. It's across from McDonald's. It's a cute I think 20 hole course. There's multicolor golf balls and clubs to choose from and different length clubs. Please don't be that group that doesn't split up into smaller groups and hold the 2-3 people groups waiting , then it backs up and cutting is frowned upon. The rule isn't enforced. It's a nice challenging course. They close at 9pm and we arrived at 8 and the sun was setting we had some visibility for the first 8 holes however the lights were never turned on even though there are big over head lights. I said something on my way out and told them someone can get seriously hurt and I was ignored. Don't come here after dusk not worth the risk. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. We had to cut our game short. read more

We've played here for 15+ years and the past two summers, the course has degraded into an embarrassing state of disrepair. It started with the water features being dry and falling apart. But last summer (2021), the carpeting was all wrinkled and fraying in spots. We saw big new rolls of carpet sitting behind the office and assumed we were just too early in the season and the carpet would be replaced in due time. However, as of June 2022, the course is in horrible shape. At least 6-8 holes are basically unplayable. There's no sign of new carpeting waiting to be installed. Until they replace the carpet on the worst holes, save your money and go somewhere else. read more

I am totally disgusted at how this facility has been allowed to become as rundown as it is. I sit here insulted by the disgraceful array of decaying trees, rotten water and brain dead employees. What has become of America, things used to be decent. Unless pirate Cove is run by some fat cat corporation who made an investment years ago and they just sit back collecting checks making no improvement whatsoever. I am so tired of lackluster things, no care, no attention, no pride? I'm not sure if they make no money and that's why they can't repair the place or they're just greedy. I've been here before, when it used to be called Pirate's cove. The place is largely the same, with just a change to the name and some theme elements. The place is maintained well, but the water was turned off due to some issues with the pump. There was a very disinterested attendant with a headset on to "help" if needed. I hope that's just temporary. But other than that, we had a good time. read more

A piece of my childhood is preserved in the white mountains of New Hampshire. Hobo Hills hasn't changed much since the early nineties and that's a good thing! It's the most beautifully pristine miniature golf course I've ever been to. Picturesque landscaping, serene mountain-scape, adventurous putting greens and whimsical theme. The hobos have entertained at least two generations thanks to the owners immaculate upkeep. Pirates Cove brand traditionally uses pirates in Caribbean settings but the hobos prevail at the old railroad junction. I highly recommend visiting during the week and off-peak times. Waiting for big families to advance can disrupt your flow and spoil your time. Best to teach your little ones about the six strokes limit out of courtesy. The skill level ranges from beginner to slightly more advanced putter. The bricks along each green are designed for strategy -use them. Make sure to tell the cashier which holes you sunk an ace because you may win a free game token! Nostalgia and wonder around every turn. Just stay outta old Edb's shine. Great place to play mini golf and they're decently challenging. The set up is very fun and there's water running through the course. They could do a bit of upkeep because there are a couple rips in the ground where you play and the signs telling you about hobo signs are graffitied or damaged. It's a great activity to do in Lincoln and if you catch it right, the train might go by when you're playing. read more

One of the best mini golf courses in the northeast. Love it. It's a must if you are in Lincoln.

They are taking the name too literally. Hobo Hills you are in need of some serious upkeep. We played on a drizzly Saturday afternoon in late August, a few others playing the course around us. The kids that greeted us were friendly and masked. There are signs to remind you to keep your 6' safe distance sprinkled around. The course is not up to Pirates Cove standards. The 18 holes are mostly flat with little interest, a couple caves to pass through. The signs at each hole telling you about hobo lore have washed away and been rewritten in sharpie. The waterfalls are not running, so the creek beds where water should flow are soggy and pretty stinky. The main pools are chemically blue, feel bad for the ducks we saw wading in them. The railroad tie walls are crumbling and all the course holes are plugged with little sponges so they are only an inch deep. Hand written notes inside the holes tell you to count it if your ball goes in and out (because the holes are too shallow.). The landscaping could use some TLC. Biggest takeaway was the occasional smell as we rounded corners from the muck. We did finish the course but would not return. read more

The main reason I didn't give it 5 starts is it's "operated by pirates mini golf" and advertised as such and it was NOT pirate theme( which is why we went there). So my expectations were not met. But HOBO mini golf was fun, entertaining, nicely decorated and we saw the hobo train. If we had expected the hobo theme and to,d the kids that we probably would have been perfectly happy. I'd just suggest changing up the advertising. Because the hobo theme fits well. read more

Brought my kids here this morning. What an amazing place. Beautiful, large course, and impeccable grounds. The kids had an absolute blast. The fee is a bargain considering what it must cost to maintain this facility. A couple of holes could use some patching, but I'm sure they're just waiting until the summer rush is over. I've been coming here for over 20 years and it looks almost as new as it did when I was a kid. It brought back a lot of great memories and we also made some new ones! read more

We have been golfing here in the past but not for a few years because of COVID. We just went last week and were very disappointed. They have let the place run down. Needs updating in a major way. On some of the holes the carpeting is frayed and sticking up which affects the ball. There was a hole in a piece of wood on one of the holes. I have always enjoyed playing golf there but not this time. I hope they do some updating or this is one customer that will not be going back. read more

It's really bad when they post the rules at the very first hole, yet don't enforce them. Rules clearly state that there should be no groups larger than 4. Yet a group of 6 was in front of us. This wouldn't have been a problem if they actually played the right way. Instead they would wonder off to look at stuff around the course. There were 8 parties behind them waiting at every hole. That's pathetic! It has never taken me 2 hours to play a round of mini golf. It took every ounce of energy I had, not to throw my club at them. At one point, we had gone back to the club house to complain. You could have told them the course was on fire. I'm convinced they would have still had that look of confusion on their faces. read more

A great fun family place for mini golf. The "hobo" theme provides a new joke with each hole. It is located conveniently off I-93s exit 32. It has a scenic overlook of the look mountain area and close to a variety of restaurants, hotels, and all of the wonders of Lincoln, NH. Adult prices are $8.50 and children are 7+ with $4.50 replay charge. I enjoyed this course. Great place for a date or a cheap day with the family. The only downside is having one course so during the busy season it can get packed. read more

When the skies finally cleared up on our rainy vacation, we went for mini golf. Four adults, and three kids 6 and under. While we were on the course, I found that there was a backup on the holes and so I felt like I was rushing the family in front of us and we were being rushed by the family behind us. My sense is the reason why is because the holes really weren't that different from one another nor was there anything really unique from one hole to the next to make it interesting to try to do. That was the least of it, though. Here's what really bothered me: the course if dangerous! Around hole 15 or 16 my four year old slipped and scraped up the inside of her ankle. That's to be somewhat expected. It had been a rainy day and so it would have been slippery and hey, she's four and four year-olds trip. But two holes later, walking down three or four stairs my husband slipped and missed a stair completely and landed on his face. He came up gushing blood and it was my brother-in-law who had to call 9-1-1. My husband's $600 glasses were totally destroyed and here he is, BLEEDING all over the place and NOT ONE employee came over to see if he was ok. After the ambulance arrived to make a determination as to whether my husband needed stitches (he didn't) again NOT ONE employee came over to see if he was ok. And even as we were leaving, they had my brother-in-law fill out some kind of "accident report" (which my husband never saw) nobody came over and even apologized for the incident. My brother-in-law was given two free passes for some other New England attraction (did I mention there were 7 in my party) but we're from MIAMI, for crying out loud, so that wasn't doing anything for us. My husband needed to replace his glasses while we were on vacation ($350.00) and 10 days later he's still wearing band-aids on his forehead and nose. And I understand that sometimes accidents happen. But this was a huge fall and the very least they could have done was apologize. But they didn't. We should have gone to the zipline. It would have been safer. read more

Then as we were passing an old lady came out yelling we cant cut through. So i then explained im not playing behind 20 people so she then broke the group up rather than just letting us play through. We had a bit of extra time and thought we'd play a little mini golf. Hobo Hills is associated with Pirate's Cove, so we knew it would be pretty good. And it was! The course was super clean and had a good amount of challenging obstacles. There were many ducks (adults as well as my favorite BABY DUCKS!) and a lot of fish in the pond, which was cool. The only down side was the wait - even though it was still morning, there were many people playing already and we had a decent wait before every hole. I would expect that at night, but at 11 a.m.? It's a nice minigolf course of 18 holes. There isn't a lot of shade (though one hole is under a hill) so it's best to go prepared with sunscreen. All in all it is a pretty typical minigolf course. The staff are friendly and the golf course is in good shape. read more

Hobo hills had been a tradition on our annual white mountains camping trip, but I think it's time to take it off the list. So sad a once great mini golf course had fallen into disrepair. Holes are getting worn. Green is getting worn. And I would bet they rarely blow the leaves off the greens or even attempt to clean them up. My boyfriend and I were in the area for a couple nights and we love mini golfing and so we thought it would be a really fun thing to do. Originally we went after dinner on a Tuesday night, but we were told by the guy that worked there that there was around a half hour wait to even start and would probably take about an hour an a half to get through the course. The guy told us that if you come during dinner time, it's not crowded at all. So the next night we decided to have a late dinner and wet mini golfing while everyone else would be eating. Sure enough, there was zero wait and we barely had to wait at all once on the course. It was very well kept and extremely pretty with all the water falls, ducks, and caves. We had a really good time and definitely recommend going at off-peak hours. read more

Worst place I've ever been too. They said that we needed to stop playing because of lightning seen which is understandable. However, when we asked for our money back they said they would not give it to us. They said they only give games back. However, we said we live 2 hours away and are on vacation. We had just started playing and felt cheated 20 bucks. They said they would not let us speak with the manager. We are livid and are eating the 20 bucks we put in. hobo hills is a fun place for the family - the holes are challenging, the scenery is pretty & the goldfish are fun to feed! the signs throughout the course and theme of the course are both cute (there is a hobo shed and hobo "markings" at every hole). one of the holes even has a giant adirondack chair in the middle that is fun for a photo-op. read more

This used to be a really nice place but something happened. It is neglected and run down. Weeds are everywhere and their running brook is non functional and clogged with debris. Not pretty anymore. The caves are leaky and moldy, even the cup catchers are moldy. read more

I've played here many times so I obviously like it. The greens are always in good shape. The scenery is great. Part of the water wasn't running this time, maybe due to maintenance. For the most part, bugs don't come from the water at the golf course. Come in mid June and you'll understand what I mean. Welcome to the White Mountains. After you play they should ask if anyone got a hole in one and if anyone in your party got a hole in one on the secret hole, you get a free game. I checked other reviews and I was surprised to see a couple negative reviews but if you have a bad experience because you think you are entitled to cut in line or an adult member of your party can't negotiate the terrain at a mini golf course, then you probably should find another activity, like collecting stamps. Maybe there is a padded mini golf course somewhere made entirely of marshmallows. Also, being busy isn't negative. It means that lots of people go there and there is nothing the employees can do to make customers play mini golf faster. It's not a timed event and people would certainly give bad reviews if employees were chasing them from hole to hole or allowing people to cut in front of them. We just played at dinner time and had no wait but a few people were showing up as we were finishing. read more
