(And those formerly-installed two front tires were newly bought from another dealership which chose them for their "quality" a few months ago.) I was very uncomfortable with the spinning and sliding of these two tires and asked Campanella to research the best skid-proof and most-quiet tire (based on objective research) in order to replace them. They did, and I soon tested their non-skid performance via a wet road when it came to grip; the result: an emergency-like firm, non-sliding stop and a fast-forward/take-off grip on both a wet and dry road surface. They also passed my test for being quiet. On top of all this, although I was a drop-in customer, the service time was quite quick! And, unexpectedly, they scanned all four tires and discovered that a nail had penetrated another tire, making it into the interior, but, amazingly, was not causing an air leak.

I was told it wouldn't be a problem, come in early, the inspection only takes 30 minutes. I arrived as the place opened (730am) and was told that the inspection does take 30 minutes, however, I couldnt wait for the car, those appointments were not available, drop it off, it'll be done by 4pm. No reason given, no "sorry a guy called out sick", nothing. Absolutely insane way to run a business. No chance Im ever going back.

OUTSTANDING!!! I have a 2003 Jeep TJ with a 5-speed manual transmission. After hearing some…read morenoises, something broke and my drive train locked up. I figured I broke something in the transmission (judging from past experience with a different vehicle). Most transmission shops in the area refuse to touch a manual transmission. I went to see Mark at Cottman Transmission in New Castle. He showed no hesitation whatsoever. After we talked, he immediately dispatched a tow truck, at no charge, to pick up my vehicle (on a busy Friday) and had my Jeep in his shop within the hour. On Monday, he had determined that the problem was broken gears in the rear differential, and NOT in my transmission. This was good news! He gave me a very fair estimate, and I picked up my fully repaired Jeep on Wednesday after paying a few dollars UNDER the original estimate. In addition, he had checked out the rest of the drive train to ensure everything was in good shape. Overall, the service from Cottman Transmission in New Castle was excellent, and Mark was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and very responsive. Honest, reliable, and eager to serve a first time customer, I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and I highly recommend this shop. Lastly, I have a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 with a Chevy 350 in need of a new transmission, and I look forward to working with Mark to get it back on the road for the spring Jeep season!

Idk if a sensor was off, and it didn't tell me to drive up far enough. But something was obviously not right. I do NOT recommend this place and am extremely disappointed. I talked to a lady in the store, and she said there was nothing she could do. They weren't reliable. An improper functioning car wash should be their concern. It literally chipped pieces out of my bumper. A sponge shouldn't do that.
