Overpriced-big disappointment. It took me 24 hours to decide whether or not to do a review but since I was so upset I needed to vent. I ordered 2 large cups of ice cream which had 3 scoops each. It cost me $17 total and portion size was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE (not even 3 full scoops). There were other people in the store and I did not want to make a fuss, but I did tell the person that assisted me these portions were too small for large portion and not correct. My girlfriend and I came to this place to buy strawberries with chocolatesince she loves them so much. For our surprise the strawberries were moldy and old. I don't recommend this place to anyone. Besides being expensive their quality is excessively poor as to not take care of the product their are selling and provide with decomposed fruits. Make your health a favor and stay away from this place. PS: they don't do refund in case their food gives you allergy or anything. They even have a sign that says that. read more

If you're out having dinner or seeing a movie at the mall, this is a great stop for ice cream. Chocolates are excellent, I'm not sure whose couverture they are using but it is about 63 percent and it's quite nice. First I want to say that I am a regular customer and almost all of the people who work here are always wonderful but there is one man who is always a dick. No matter what he has an attitude and now on two different occasions I have come by to buy chocolate at around 1230 and the guy has the "Open" sign turned on but the door is locked. The sign on the door also says that they open at 12. He looks right at us and ignores us and goes to the back. Ice cream was very good but lost a lot of respect for location. We were sitting outside enjoying our ice cream and one of the workers came outside and said we had to move so he could bring the chairs in to close. We are paying customers, you don't do that. Great ice cream! I find the chocolate candy prices very high. It's great when they offer buy 1, get 1! I wish they better displayed & promoted the candy apples more. I went to the Delray Beach location asked for a 1lb box of chocolates the girl this evening can't read the scale I asked for Carmel's sea salt and milk chocolate almonds well the bill was $12.39 and I know there chocolate is $29.99 a pound I received 2 Carmel's I'm the box and the rest milk chocolate almonds that is not half of each I asked for. The store is super cute and very well done - unfortunately, the chocolates are not. They taste like cut-rate Russel Stover's and were not worth the cost or the calories. They look nice, but have almost no flavor and the chocolate is just not good quality. The ice cream is good - but it's the same Ice Cream Club ice cream that many stores around Palm Beach County are using (Hoffman's does not make their own) so you can get the same ice cream elsewhere and often for less. I also noticed a fly buzzing around in one of the chocolate cases, so that was a huge turnoff. I'm impressed with the store - it's very well done and nicely laid out, but the look of the place doesn't translate into good chocolate. read more

In my 50 years I have never experienced such great customer service, especially is South Fl. My parents and I went to Frank movie theatre on a Thursday night. We casually walked the shops. We moseyed into Hoffman's. We hymned and hawed at all the choices. Finally we placed our order after a good 10 minutes of tastings. There were two young ladies working. Kayla Paim & Deliah. One mopping, the other serving us, both very friendly, helpful and the utmost customer service was given. My father wanted a waffle cone but they didn't have any due to the fact that it was so late. At the time I asked what time do you close? She respectfully said we are closed. We closed at 10. I aplogized, she said it's no problem. We had walked in a few minutes after 10 and neither of them sent us away, gave us a dirty look, rushed us or were impatient. In fact they were the complete opposite. I am so amazed that two young ins were so grown up and professional, as if it was their own business. I made it a point to go back and speak to their manager Cherah, who also was a pleasure. I have been to this location several times, and it never disappoints. It primarily is a chocolate place, but I go for the ice cream. I find the chocolates to be pricey. The ice cream is on par price wise with Haagen Dazs, but Hoffman's is better tasting in my opinion. I like that they have seating inside and out. I like that they let you try samples of the ice cream before you choose. I like that they change their flavors around. I was disappointed to not find Elephant Ear (vanilla with PB ripples and chocolate pieces), but was excited to discover Hawaiian Fruit (coconut ice cream with strawberries and pineapple). I was happy that checking in gave me 2 free toppings as well. My new favorite ice cream place! read more

i've only ever had their ice cream and their nonpareils (they're one of my cast weaknesses) and both are always delicious! you can smell all of the chocolate as soon as you walk in the door as all of the choices line the walls and are placed on tables in the middle of the room as well as is the display case. the ice cream is in the back left where they have a lot of different toppings and options! i love their mint chocolate chip for when i want to keep it classic and their coffee as well. you can ask to try the flavors if you can't decide, and i've tried a lot of them and they are all delicious. you can get sundaes, milkshakes, cones or cups, basically anything you want. you can mix it up and get a few flavors at the same time and you can add a bunch of different toppings to your ice cream as well, including some of their own chocolate candy options. get one of the punch cards that they offer and when you fill it up you get a free ice cream sundae! read more

I just wanted to let the owners/managers know of a great experience I had with their staff on the evening of Thursday 10/12. I went in looking for a chocolate mold in the shape of a tennis racquet for my boss's birthday. I was greeted by a young man who came out of the back to let me know that the staff was having a quick meeting, but they would be happy to help me if I needed immediate assistance. I told him I was not in a rush and to finish the meeting. When he came back out a short while later, I asked him to help me find the chocolate tennis racquet. He searched their inventory but came up empty handed. I believe he asked his supervisor to contact other nearby stores to assist me in finding the item. While I waited, he offered me samples and asked thoughtful questions to see if I would like another item. Ultimately they were unable to locate the item I needed. The young man apologized, and I left the store. After a brief search at the nearby It's Sugar store, I decided to return to Hoffman's and purchase something else. The young man assisted me in putting together a nice arrangement of chocolates for my boss. He was patient, knowledgeable, and always courteous. I left the store with a great impression of the business, due in large part to the quality service that young man provided.
