Nice place in CDA for hot pot or takeout! My family and I stopped in for a pick up order of Chicken Katsu, Kalua Pork, and a side of white rice with a fried egg. When I walked in, I noticed the restaurant is very well kept and the booths are so cute. The staff greeted us warmly, promptly took our order, and our food was ready in no time. While I liked my Kalua Pork dish, I did add some Chicken Katsu sauce to the pork for more flavor. The Mac salad was good, but it had too much pepper for my liking. All in all, I'd go again! It would be fun to dine-in for hot pot next time.

Came for the hotpot and let me just say on a cold night this place is amazing. Place is clean and has a modern feel. Definitely recommend coming around 4pm or later because street parking is free but there are several lots around this area. I ordered the ribeye with spicy broth no chili oil. And added on udon noodles to the set. Depending on your selection of meat the price ranges anywhere from $25-$28 Set comes with 1 scoop of rice, broth, protein, and a big bowl of vegetables. There is also a sauce bar where you can make your own little dipping sauce which is fun. Service is good, staff is friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to the menu.

The food, the chicken and short ribs were dry and flavorless. The service was great. Our friend had fun grilling the lamb in the miso broth but over all, I would not return because the food did not stand out.

This place was sooo good! I did the hot pot menu. And they give you A lot of food! The breath and the taste was there. Specially on a cold night this definitely hit the spot. The lady that was working was taking care of the whole restaurant. I didn't see anyone helping her and she did a great job and helping us when she could. She had great costumer service. The place is big enough has lots of tables and hot pot tables. Clean place also

As my husband and I walk in we were greeted by our awesome server, Jordan. She knew the menu and even knew what we were asking for when we said portagee sausage and POG. She checked in with us multiple times to make sure we didn't have any questions or need anything else. She had a bright smile and was the perfect representative showing aloha spirit in everything she did. We first ordered the manapua and let me tell you it was made just like the ones from back home! I ordered the kahlua pig which was perfectly seasoned and tender. No need for knife! My meal came with a side of white rice, perfectly sticky properly cooked, and mac salad which could have gone toe to toe with my cousins back home. Bring your appetite because these guys don't play around! Neither me nor my husband could finish. I would say worth the price but honestly it was very inexpensive considering how well made everything was and how it reminded me of home and family. I would definitely have paid more just to get that feeling again while eating their food. My husband got the teriyaki chicken and it was exactly the same as my uncles back home. I could have cried but we were in public! Full of flavor and I just want to say that this is not your smothered teriyaki chicken...it's Hawaiian style and marinated all the way through, as it should be! My husband also got fried rice, which was also well seasoned and a good portion of mac salad. To compliment our meal I had a Hawaiian Sun POG (passion fruit, orange, and guava) and hubby had lilikoi (passion fruit). Everything was perfect! I can't wait to try their laulau and lomi salmon if they get some in! Homemade. Hawaiian. Broke da mouth! Mahalo

I really like Konala…read more I am not familiar with this chain, but they have a location in Coeur d'Alene and one in Post Falls. Maybe those are the only two locations? They do rice and protein bowls and salads, and their whole thing is "macros". It's supposed to be clean eating for people who LIFT. (They may not say it that way, but they have a literal crossfit gym in their Coeur d'Alene location). The food is really good, although I am SHOCKED. Absolutely SHOCKED that they don't have a "plain" option. This place is for "food bros", and food bros love things that are just seasoned with salt. I can't believe they don't have that as an option. So why 4 stars instead of 5? A couple of minor reasons. 1) They mess up orders. A lot. I always ask for my bowl with no sauce and broccoli mixed in. Half the time it still has sauce. Half the time the broccoli is on the side. 2) Some of the people who work here are GREAT. But some of them are a really mixed bag, they act like they would rather be ANYWHERE but here working. One person literally rolled her eyes and scoffed when I came back in to ask for them to remake my bowl with no sauce. 3) The price. I get it. "clean" food is expensive, but Konala is skirting the line where it's not any less expensive than a "better" restaurant. It also means I don't take my whole family to eat here. Anyway, I really do love this place. I know the 4 stars don't reflect that, but I really do.

Today's visit was no different and was deliciously fresh and yummy. I planned on getting a poke bowl and when I walked in, one of the specials of the day was a wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl...cha-ching! That's exactly what I got and with a side order of 2 crab cakes. The wasabi ahi tuna poke bowl was simple and fresh, yet packed with ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice. Poke bowls are my go-to for a protein packed meal that's healthy and leaves me feeling full. Now the crab cakes!? If you've never tried them from here and you're a crab cake lover, then do yourself a favor and order some. They were perfectly cooked with a crisp outside and stuffed with a good amount of tasty fresh crab. The 2 sauces of my choice to go with the cakes are: traditional tarter sauce and then take your lemon slice and squeeze the juice on top and mix it in and the Cajun tarter sauce--it has great flavor with a little bit of spice. My pics don't do justice--the flavor is where it's at! My roommate got his favorite Shrimp Po Boy Sandwich with fries and he was a happy camper. I will say, their fries are authentic and actually taste like real potato. We arrived at lunch hour and the ambiance was definitely busy, which is normal. Service was great and food came out fairly quick. Every employee I saw stayed busy, either helping people, cleaning, or chef'ing it up.

Our favorite is the Hali-bites and kids menu specials for our littles. The atmosphere is always filled with the clatter of a bustling business, and yet channels the coast (even though we are far inland). We also love to grab some fresh fish, crab, scallops or other seafood to make at home. I will say, they make everything fresh to order and are often slammed, so don't plan on coming in and expect your food to be out in a flash; however, it is worth the wait. The only reason I didn't rate is because of the price, however everyone knows you get what you pay for when it comes to seafood.

We were greeted and sat immediately with menus. We got hot tea while we looked over the menu. I noticed right away they had lots of options and many rolls to choose from--even the pickiest of eaters are sure to find something! For appetizers, we ordered edamame and Rock Shrimp. Edamame was perfectly salted and warm. The tempura fry on the Rock Shrimp was spot on. The yum yum sauce was decent but lacked flavor and season imo..may have been too much mayo in this batch but all good, because the shrimp was amazing all by itself. The tempura was nice and airy and the shrimp was still juicy and tender. For entrees, my roommate ordered the Chicken Katsu and his mom and I feasted on the Sushi & Sashimi for 2, which comes with 10 pieces of sushi, 15 pieces of sashimi, chef's special choice roll, and subbed our Tempura shrimp roll for a Rock n Roll. Man oh man! When the sushi arrived, it was presented beautifully and truly looked like art. Not to mention, it was SO DELICIOUS! Every piece and every bite was amazingly fresh. Hats off to the sushi chefs for doing a fabulous job. The ratio of fish to rice was on point! My roommate said the Chicken Katsu had a good cook to it and that he really liked the sauce it came with. Unfortunately I did not get our servers name and not so sure she had a name tag on. However, she was patient with us in regards to when we ordered and attentive throughout the meal. We came at a good time as the restaurant filled up by the time we left. I will definitely be back for more sashimi!

Our favorite was the Coeur d'Alene Roll, but the other two were also very tasty and unique. The Cowboy Roll has filet mignon on it, which was a new spin on sushi for us. It's tough finding good sushi this far inland from the ocean, but Shiki sure raised the bar for this area. It will be our new go to for sushi here.

We fully expected to be seated in the restaurant, but instead were disappointed to see the entire Sweetheart Deal grouping seated in a back conference room with no view. It was certainly not the romantic vibe we thought we were paying for when booking the Sweetheart deal. I'm all about giving people and places a 2nd chance, so we gave Beverly's a 2nd chance on my 67th birthday. Since the day fell on a Monday, the restaurant wasn't packed and we received premium seated and service. I must say, we were both happy to give Beverly's a 2nd chance. The staff was tremendously attentive and welcoming. The food and wine pairings were terrific for each and every course. I had the Burrata Salad, Surf & Turf and Huckleberry Cheesecake, while my wife ordered the Hummus & Olives, Seafood Paella and Chocolate Flourless Cake. Each course, the sommelier came with an excellent wine pairing and explanation. Quite honestly, when we came to the Sweetheart meal a few Valentine's Days ago, the 3 wine pairings were inexplicably late for each course. That was not the case tonight!
