A place where you come for quick - already prepared food. We did enjoy the fact that our teriyaki chicken came with a salad and macaroni salad. Good price for what you get.

Spicy peanut sauce is great and the wasabi mac is crazy! The location is pretty nice down on the main strip of town, i liked the outdoor seating a lot. Server was quick and helpful Not super authentic asian food but still tastes great

Beef with fried rice and salad. Beef was super salty. Eat here if you like the taste of soy sauce because that's all you taste. Don't eat here if you have hypertension. I thought the rice would help the saltiness but it soaked up the salty sauce from the beef so nope. Salad was ok, but it was drenched in dressing, which was mid.

I got the Peanut Chicken plate and my husband got the Spicy Teriyaki Tofu plate. Enjoyable and flavorful, but very salty. Great drink selection with tap, canned beer/cider, and teas. Fun atmosphere with Japanese-inspired interior and arcade games - includes two sections of bar seating and indoor/outdoor table seating. Owner was chatty and staff had good customer service. Location is prime if you're already downtown, but have fun finding parking if you want anything near the restaurant itself.

This is a 3 in one yelp experience. The service here is amazing, with super funny workers. The ambiance is very unique and really goes with the food. And to top it all off the food here is just amazing, might be the best food in Idaho. Come here if you're looking for something out of this world! read more

Had a quick bite at Rokkos while in Coeur d'Alene. Owners/bartenders/waiters/jack of all trades are quite friendly and personable. Had the chicken curry dish and would have "Sumo Sized" the meal, but sadly, it is no longer an option as the price of protein has escalated. That being said, there could have been more pieces of chicken in the curry, but the meal size for the price was acceptable. Curry was not spicy at all! When I was a college student in Cheney, Rokkos was one of my favorite restaurants. Now that Rokkos has moved to CDA, after I hadn't been in years, I finally had their famous Chicken Yakisoba Noodle Bowl again! Service was fast and friendly! My friend was avoiding gluten and the staff had great suggestions to accommodate her needs. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, with plenty of seating outside or inside. My yakisoba was incredible, just like it was years ago when I last had it! Packed with flavor, tender chicken, and satisfying. You must visit! read more

This is my second time in here. I forgot to review it the first time. Sorry! Blame my absent-mindedness. I took a friend here, and the owners were running the shop for lunch. I had the BBQ rib tips, and my friend had their tacos. Yes, this place is an Asian fusion joint, and their tacos had all kinds of Asian flavors and was topped with a wasabi slaw. My rib tips came with rice, a salad and their wasabi pasta salad. First of all, the rib tips were tender as all get out. The flavor was great. Their wasabi pasta salad is worth coming in for on its own. My friend practically inhaled his tacos and once he was done just said "That was so good!" I'm going to have to come in here to try more of their food. What I had in my two trips has impressed me. Oh, and sitting outside in the summertime while eating Asian fusion food in downtown CdA just makes everything better. read more

The food was absolute garbage. The rice was mushy, the sauce was not flavorful, and why was the teriyaki chicken reheated cubes of chicken breast? The reheated chicken hindquarter was basic bbq chicken but the skin was tough and again barely had any teriyaki flavor. The pasta salad was flavorful but gluey and the tossed greens were negligible. It took the staff member three different times to pull a beer correctly. I've been meaning to go back to this restaurant for so long and it was such a disappointment. Twas OK. Not too much Japanese influence. My chicken teriyaki was like a teriyaki gravy over rice with tiny piece of chicken breast meat in the gravy. The wasabi Mac salad, not for me. My wife had the chicken noodle dish which she enjoyed. Expect to eat out of styrofoam boxes with plastic utensils. read more

Don't sleep on the tofu. Best I've had in the US and the story behind it is even better. I'm a fan of spicy foods and while the wasabi mac salad was great, it was light enough on the kick for some of the more spice averse members of my group. Sorry for the lack of photo. I couldn't stop eating the tofu. read more

The service was friendly. I was given good recommendations for all my menu questions! I ate the chicken teriyaki and had the plate modified to include the "Locco Style" for an extra $4! It was so tasty, fresh and served up nice and warm. The two sides were delicious and the portions were spot on. I went on Wednesday night and was happily surprised to see the were offering $1 beer! The ambiance was super chill, and clean. Loved the art murals on the wall. I would recommend this place to friends and tourists. It's a great local vibe. read more

Service great! Ambiance cool! They had some retro arcade games in there! I got the Tuesday tacos, Holly mackerel were they delicious, wife got teriyaki chicken, the Wasabi Mac salad, so bomb. Only actually drawback of the whole meal was that the chicken was dry. That's it, otherwise everything else was on another level, huge fan and would definitely come back. Especially for those tacos! The food is so delicious! The staff is super friendly and helpful. My first time here at Rokkos was a great experience! The place has a cool vibe and some outdoor seating. The menu is straight forward. The food came out super fast. I had the Peanut hindquarters with a side of Teriyaki and it was to die for! So delicious. The wasabi Mac and cheese was a total treat and the green salad with poppyseed was the perfect accompaniment to the meal! This place is so good, I am sure I will be a regular. read more

I absolutely love their Vegan Tofu Plate option. The tofu is perfectly crispy on the outside with a non-soggy center. I really want to give them 5 stars because the owners are FABULOUS! If you go in at lunchtime, be prepared for WOW food and service! I wanted to give them 5 stars based on the 5 lunch visits I have had, but the 3 dinner visits have not been 5-star service. Service 10/10 - Food 9/10 Amazing taste! The taste here is great, the foods portion size is good! The only bad thing I'd say the reason I didn't give it 5/5 stars was because I didn't get any dressing with my salad. Other then that I loved the food and the service was really wonderful! Definitely 5 stars. I like the ambiance plus the employees are super nice, they were short staffed but still managed to get me my food within 7 minutes because I had to rush to get somewhere, plus the food was OUTSTANDING. definitely exceeded my expectations. They've got a cool vibe in there. It was also a lot of food, cause I was full and I eat a lot. 10/10 would recommend trying their spicy peanut sauce and their wasabi macaroni salad. read more

Shocking that half the teenage staff was vaping in the kitchen area while preparing our dinner. Because of our infant, we packed our food to go - hoping the food will not taste like the strawberry vape cloud linger in the dining area. Yikes. So CDA's newest Japanese Fusion place is average at best. What it has going for it: - Servers were really nice - Customer areas are clean - Good location - Cool murals What it has going against it: - No fountain sodas (cans) so no free refills - Confusing decor - Food was rather salty So when I went into this place I thought it might have been a sports bar with the Irish Football banners, the huge section of basketball court on the wall and the TVs place basketball games.... but no, apparently the owner is into sports. My wife got her order in about 10 minutes, told her not to wait for me and start eating.... 20 minutes later my food finally came out. I can see the servers were embarrassed so they gave me a free refill of my soda. Wow thanks.... lol I don't know.... if your going to be a Japanese Fusion place be one, but be one with better service especially when it's not busy. Food was anything special and portion size was underwhelming for the price. Do I see myself going there again? Probably not read more

I ducked in for a quick and delicious lunch to go. No disappointment on either count! The guy at the counter was very friendly and courteous. I had my food and was out the door in about 7 mins. Not only is this place super cute inside & out.. but the food was amazing & the owner is super friendly! It was a bit slow when we went in so we hung out at the bar and he was chatting with us in between helping his other customers. Their teriyaki street tacos hidden gem of Coeur d'Alene. In my opinion, one of of the not the best street taco I've ever had. Unique flavor. The rest of the food is amazing as well. I've never had a bad meal there. Best teriyaki in the area hands down. read more

We ordered the Idaho potato skins (without bacon) and they were supremely yummy! Crispy, cheesy, and just right with the sour cream. Our non-alcoholic drinks hit the mark. For mains, we ordered burgers and pasta primavera. The pasta had great flavors-- a nice cheesy sun-dried tomatoes sauce with a plethora of garden veggies. There was a nice kick to the sauce which I relished. We ordered crème brûlée for dessert. It was splendid! Our waitress was sweet-- she kept checking in on us to ensure we were doing okay with our food. A 10/10 here. Parking situation was okay given how crowded this side of the town gets on a weekend. We managed to find a spot. The only thing that confused me is I am not sure if this restaurant does complimentary birthday dessert. I indicated on my reservation but I don't believe they do anything about it. I am surprised that a restaurant at this caliber doesn't do anything to make their guests feel special. We told our waitress and she did bring a candle on the crème brûlée. I guess that's all they do then. My only other feedback is to have more vegetarian options on the menu.

There's something about these "yacht club aesthetic" harbor restaurants that always seems a little…read moresoulless and artificial: sometimes it's the menu that doesn't use fresh-caught, local seafood; sometimes it's the cheap pinewood tables and chairs camouflaged by nautical novelties; sometimes the place just sucks, and is propped up by nothing more than tourism, nostalgia, or worse: nostalgic tourists. Dockside avoids most of these maritime miscalculations, but leans into a few of them as well: namely, a lack of an unique identity. There's plenty of excellent looking, sounding, and tasting items on the menu, but none of them give you a clear picture of what story or trajectory the chef is trying to steer you toward, which honestly isn't that big of a deal, if you're just looking for a solid meal. You'll find that here, unquestionably. It's just not likely to be a particularly memorable one. Yes, the salmon dip was good, although there definitely wasn't enough bread, unless you slather it in enough spread to make the crostini underneath it seem like more of a suggestion. Our cocktails were on point, but you can tell that each pour of liquor was exacting and precisely measured, as to prevent any excessive alcohol beyond regulation. And when your bill comes to somewhere northwards of $80 for two drinks, an appetizer and a cup of soup, it's hard to cover that bitter taste in your mouth, no matter how good the stew tastes. It probably sounds like I am being unreasonably harsh on a restaurant that I've still giving three stars to, and perhaps I am; but only because Dockside feels like the sort of place that should be a designated dining destination, and not just a random ritzy resort restaurant that's WAY too hard to locate, if you're on foot using Google Maps, wandering around the perimeter of the building and wondering why you can't find any signage or entrances. Perhaps it was the aloof, disinterested server (and her anxious trainee) that seemed like she had better things to do elsewhere. Hell, maybe it was just me. But it's hard not to shake the feeling that Dockside is a ship adrift without a rudder, without a sextant, desperately searching for a north star to navigate toward, or a port to come home to, and finding nothing but the endless sea stretched out before it in all directions.

We hung out, outside on the patio and really great relaxed environment here as well - comfortable seats that you can enjoy conversation in whether it be with friends or family, music's not too loud, and love people watching. 10/10 recommended!

Perfect portion for two with a couple topping options. I would go back just for those. I ordered their take on eggs Benedict and my husband had the classic breakfast plate. Both were really flavorful, but the seasoned potatoes were a standout. Portions are generous, we ended up getting two more portions out of the leftovers. Overall, a really fun and memorable brunch spot. I am looking forward to going back for one of the events when they have live music.

Our favorite was the Coeur d'Alene Roll, but the other two were also very tasty and unique. The Cowboy Roll has filet mignon on it, which was a new spin on sushi for us. The Blue Mountain Roll was actually shaped like triangles and had very good flavor and texture to it with just the right amount of roe mixed in. It's tough finding good sushi this far inland from the ocean, but Shiki sure raised the bar for this area. It will be our new go to for sushi here.

I added a few different ones leaning toward the sweet versus the savory. You can also add a bowl of white sticky rice on the side to supplement the dish. They had hard ciders available as well. I tried one that hit the spot. The waitress was attentive and came by to make sure we were doing ok, and keeping our waters full. They weren't too busy since it was later in the evening, but the food was still fresh. I will likely come back again when I'm in the area.
