I brought my C6Z to Holeshot for parts installation and a dyno tune. During the install, Rick reached out with concerns she found and provided recommendations based on his past experience with LS7s. Those insights led to positive results, along with a clear plan for future work. Communication throughout the process was excellent. After getting the car back, I had a few additional items that needed to be addressed, and Rick had no issue bringing me back in to go over everything and make sure everything was looking right. so my car got tuned at his shop, but apparently he doesn't check for speedometer so that way it's correct not 5 miles or 10 mph off. Honestly Wouldn't go anywhere else for anything else, Rick knows what he's doing, and doesn't judge like other shops and tuners, other tuners were scared to tune my car cuz of the 4L60 trans but Rick said F that I'll tune it. Not only did he tune my car but he was willing to work around my schedule, he took time out of his personal family time to help me out, I live 2+ hours away from the shop and have plenty of other tuners closer to me but all my cars are going to Holeshot without hesitation Just hit him up, and let him do the rest, you won't ever regret it read more

I was referred to him from a local neighbor. supposedly he was the best tuner for gm. I sent my wife's suburban with cam and head modifications for a base tube i had to retake it because the car wouldn't even idle. I scheduled a dyno tune after to get it dialed in. the car fouled plugs and would cut out sometimes on first gear because the idle would drop to low on downshift. I payed three different times total of 800 dollars wasted on a garbage tune. I called him for my dyno sheet and he didn't even want to give me that finally had a real tuner in Nevada get me squared away maybe Rick was having a bad day but I wouldn't trust him with any of my cars if that's the work he normally does read more

I have a Silverado and it was tuned 2 times prior to taking it here. I was having stalling issues and performance issues. After being recommended from the mechanic I went to I decided to give Holeshot Performance a chance. Trucks drivability is 1000 times better and the idle is great. I purchased a refurbished one off of eBay. When I called Audio916 to ask them if they could install the unit, Sean was very upfront with me. Gave me very accurate pricing for the job. He also told me that he could install the unit, no problem. But that with these newer vehicles, there is chance that the unit itself might need to be coded and that the dealership would have to do that. He told me he would do everything he could, but that ultimately I may have to have the dealership code it. I took my chances and not only did they do an outstanding job, but his head installer found that the unit I purchased had a defective button. So rather than just leave it, they went above and beyond and fixed that defective button to make the unit perfect! And Sean called me to communicate the issue in real time. I was absolutely ecstatic! I was having issues with a strong exhaust smell in the cab of my…read more2013 Chevy Equinox, and was in search for a trustworthy mechanic to take a look and hopefully repair any problems before an upcoming SoCal roadtrip that I was taking with my family. I used Yelp to put a blanket request for the Sacramento area, and Stress Free Auto reached out right away! I was able to take my car in first thing the next morning and was greeted in such a friendly and warm way. Knowing they had a few jobs ahead of me, they called a niiiice Lyft and made sure I got home free of charge! From there the communication was excellent. There were continual texts that provided information about their progress not only with searching for the main problem, but also a general overall inspection of my vehicle. Once complete they sent me an estimate, I called to coordinate which things I wanted repaired/addressed, and they sent over a finalized quote that I signed immediately. It was quick, informative, and quite literally stress free The main problem was a cracked exhaust manifold. Seems like an extensive repair, right? Well, they let me know later that afternoon that they were done! Amazing same day service! Absolutely incredible. It's been a month since the repair and I haven't had any issues. So, in my book, that's a job well done! The only small gripe I have is the cost. Again, it was same day service, so it's understandable that I might have paid more than I would have at another local shop, but they did offer a discount on the initial inspection cost. Some other shops roll the inspection cost into the cost of repairs, but unfortunately Stress Free doesn't do that. Plus, a couple of suggested repairs were somewhat of a laughable cost. If memory serves, they quoted me around $60 to replace wipers. I'm not sure if it was a quote for all 3, or just one, but I spent $15 on a wiper on the way home and installed it myself. Whatever, they are trying to make money! Despite my small price gripe, I will be using Stress Free in the future for any vehicle concerns I have!

I hired him to…read morereplace the battery on my 2010 Honda Civic and inspect several parts that a dealer had claimed were leaking and needed to be replaced. He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Rolland came to my house and went straight to working on the fuse box without having made sure the…read morehigh voltage system of my Prius C was disconnected. Major red flag #1. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!
