My husband is on oxygen and a cpap due to his cancer so we were forced to find accommodations. So, about the hotel. It was clean, the staff friendly, and the beds were comfy. We asked for a late check-out and they said 2 pm was fine without charging extra. Breakfast was great. We took it back to our room. expensive at $15.50 pp. Still it was delicious. I got the Eggs your way .....over easy, sausage, potatoes, and sour dough toast. The eggs were perfect, the potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! The sourdough toast was buttered and perfect! My husband had the French toast wth strawberries. "Dipped in cinnamon-vanilla custard and griddled, topped with powdered sugar, fresh strawberries, Vermont maple syrup" They smelled wonderful! We loved our breakfasts but the joy was taken away by the eco-friendly cardboard boxes the meals were served in. For most accommodations in our area, this hotel was pricey at $400.00 plus per night. A star off for that as well. Just a note. The tub bottom was very slippery!

My complaints were not addressed and my bill was not comped in any way, despite reporting that the room was cold each day. We were out of the room majority of each day, so we made the best of our trip during the short stay. Again, I do not recommend this hotel. This hotel is a negative reflection of Marriott Bonvoy, and does not value customer service.

I booked the hotel after comparing reviews for hotels around Westfield, NJ. The Fairfield Inn in Union wasn't available so I had to find an alternative. Comparing all the options, this Springhill Suites won out--even though I had stayed at some of the Marriot brand hotels in the past. Post COVID, I find the best quality and consistency on average at the Springhill Suites brand. It snowed the night before but the site was clear. I stopped at the front desk to get my key and was greated very warmly and provided with a welcome bag that included a bottle of water, a packed of baked cheddar goldfish, and a bag of Sahale Honey Almonds glaze mix. The hotel is nicely designed and well kept--very warm and welcoming. A large breakfast area and nice workout space. TWO elevators My room is very nice. Very comfortable bed. Very clean and nicely made. Nice TV, desk, well lit, clean and nicely layed out bathroom. They pay attention to detail even in the way the bath mat, wash cloth and towels are presented. All dispensers were full, shower had warm and hot water. Lotion provide also. I will definitely stay here again.

This is the first time a stayed at a Spark by Hilton property and found the property to be on-par with Hampton Inn's but with an emphasis on basics. While this property was a take-over and remodel of another brand, there is very little indication that this was not a completely refurbished property. The only hint I saw was in the elevator in which the back side is glass, so as the elevator rises you can see outside. The tell sign is that while every detail inside the property is clean as a whistle, the window in the elevator are not, a minor detail overlooked. My room, 515, was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Close to the single elevator, there were times when it took some time for it to arrive, most 5 floor hotels do have more than one elevator. There were plenty of outlets in the room and the bead was ultra-comfortable, but the chair at the desk while fitting with the décor, is not functional for someone to work at the desk. All the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. I had an early departure, so I did not have an opportunity to check out breakfast, but parking was complementary which is always a plus, even though it was not gated. I like Spark for a quick, convenient and affordable overnight stay, but for more than one night, there are other Hilton brands I'd prefer to stay with. You be the judge; I think you'll like it overall as I did!

The sectional couch which is also a pull out bed isn't comfy. The bathroom is nice and spacious and the shower is too and the pressure is great. The free breakfast is not so great, but it did the job. Hire better cooks! The outside area is nice to sit around and talk any time of the day. This is a great place to stay in all regards. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel provided in the shower stall, and facial soap bar, lotion, and mouthwash, which was more bonus points, as I've never seen this provided and I don't like to bottle my own and seal it to bring when I travel! Big screen TV with HBO is in the room, and my king bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. There were plush bath robes for my use in the closet, but I didn't use them. They were also for sale at front desk. Free breakfast is included, which is in a very nice dining room in the lower level. Breads, cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juices, yogurt, bottled water, and hot food items are provided. I enjoyed scrambled eggs, bacon, and potato wedges on my visit. There was also a waflle iron available, and there was an attendant ensuring everything was kept up and food replenished. There is an on-site restaurabt and bar called Moe's, where colleagues and I had a beer and dinner the night before. I didn't take photos, but I enjoyed grilled shrimp with polenta cakes with a mushroom sauce. Service was good. The dining room and bar were dark with dark colors, so maybe an update with lighter colors and better lighting would add some life and a better atmosphere.
