The indoor pool was family friendly, and had a hot tub you could be indoors or outdoors in, which was fun. They also had a hot tub outside closer to the water, but it was a little chilly so I didn't go out there. There were a ton of pools outside that looked nice even though I didn't take advantage of them The conference spaces made the work side of my trip easy since they have a variety of different meeting rooms and a larger spaces. Their channel is pretty good with two peloton and other machines and weightlifting areas. The meal options were pretty good for a hotel, the salmon over couscous that we had for dinner one night was really good. Coming to the eastern shore over the winter is always so peaceful and the Hyatt made it easy for me to enjoy it. The staff were friendly and helpful even when I messed up my booking, they were able to fix it right away.

The positives first: our Petite Suite was spacious and comfortable, the recreational facilities kept our family entertained, and the premium parking option was absolutely worth it for the convenience. Unfortunately, the food and beverage experience fell far short of expectations. While the fly problem was slightly improved compared to our previous visit, flies were still everywhere throughout the property. At the breakfast buffet, there were dead gnats on the fruit, which raised serious concerns about food safety. Dinner in the main restaurant was disappointing- the food quality was poor, 2 separate meals contained a hair, missing food items were never followed up on, and the servers often seemed unfamiliar with the menu or service procedures. The takeout window was consistently slow, and the main bar appeared dirty during our visit. This is a beautiful resort with great amenities and plenty of potential, but the dining operation needs significant attention. Better food safety practices, improved staff training, cleaner food and beverage areas, and more attentive service would make a tremendous difference. Until those issues are addressed, it's difficult to recommend the resort based on the overall experience.

This is a dated hotel that has undergone some improvements, but a lot of the details have been done…read morepoorly, such as excessive caulk with no clean edges. Baseboard molding roughly cut and not installed correctly.  Our room had no USB connections to support cell phone charging.  Our room also did not have a dresser for clothing storage though it was a large room. There were two drawers in the piece of furniture that also supported a microwave and a mini refrigerator (see pictures).  The bathroom was very small with one sink that had very low water pressure.  The bathtub/shower was risky due to the height and how high it was necessary to step in and out of the tub...which once in the tub there is a very chance to slip. There was a safety grab bar on one side to use when entering or exiting the tub/shower. The shower head was ancient and did not provide a good spray.  When using the one sink there was a water knock in the wall above the sink. This occurred everytime the water was used. There was a desk (no drawers) with a chair and a sofa, another chair with ottoman, plus two more ottomans in front the sofa. Housekeeping is by request. We stayed eight days and scheduled two housekeeping days. We were pleased with the housekeeping effort, but the carpeted floor was very dirty as evidenced by the bottom of my white socks. I find this very concerning since most hotels now allow pets and there is no guarantee that the floors or carpeting are adequately cleaned to remove dirt or pests. There was a wedding party one of the nights during our stay, so there was a lot of slamming doors and excessive noise late at night which was very disrespectful to us and the other guests. The staff was very friendly and we were greeted each day by staff members. There is plenty of free parking and the hotel is easily accessible from route 50.  The hotel serves breakfast each day but is also very close to restaurants and retail shopping. There are three floors but only one elevator, so there is some competition for the elevator during busy periods. This hotel offers WIFI but as noted earlier there are no USB connections in the rooms

On a sunny Saturday afternoon my husband I enjoyed lunch at The Robert Morris Inn. It was very quiet with only one table seated inside the table and a few small parties seated on the patio. The upside is that it was a leisurely and relaxing experience but if you are looking for energy and people watching, this isn't the place, at least not for lunch. My husband had the salmon entree and I had the fish and chips. Both were good - about on par with good pub fare or a bit better. Our server was the only one working and she did a great job making the long trek from the kitchen to the front porch where we, and other parties, were seated. Sitting on the porch we had lovely views of the Tred Avon River. It was a quaint experience. We couldn't help but notice that The Robert Morris Inn is for sale. Hopefully the new owners will be able to refresh it a bit to attract the next generation while of course maintaining the historic integrity of the 300+ year old building.

For anyone considering ESVR as a management company, I want to share our experience. We had…read morenumerous lease violations this summer. Some resulted in property damage, and others involved over-occupancy that ESVR themselves pointed out could put our Short Term Rental License at risk. In our view, these issues were not addressed to our satisfaction. We are no longer using ESVR as our management company; as such, I requested the return of our house key. After several weeks, I have not received the key or even an acknowledgement of my request and will now need to pay to change the locks on my house.
