We stayed here last night during our vacation to St. George. The hotel is great! The front desk girls were friendly and made checking in and out super simple. The room was larger than expected and more spacious than my wildest dreams. The hotel has a pool and a burger restaurant. I didn't get to try the restaurant but it looked nice. The hotel is across the street from a large park with hiking trails. I'll stay here again when I visit St. George in the future. read more

This is your standard Holiday Inn hotel. I am giving it 3 stars because it more or less meets the standards one would expect for this chain. The pros for this hotel are that it was clean, comfortable and quiet. In the grand scheme of things when looking for a hotel those are what you want. The first con I had got this hotel was its location. Without having GPS or written directions I could not find it. Nearly every hotel in town is listed on those blue "lodging" signs along the highway. This one was not. I never saw a billboard for it when driving into town. I had to stop and ask directions. Second con was the staff. Not all of them (wish I could use names more than generals). The guy working the counter the afternoon was friendly and helpful. He greeted me each time I walked in making me feel welcomed. Then early this morning I go to check out and a gal was working the counter. She was busy adding creamers to a bowl for morning coffee and we almost bumped ( me hauling 4 bags so a little clumsy). I walked the 10 feet to the counter to wait for her. She proceeded to go into the back, come out a few minutes later and add more creamers while I stood there watching. I finally had to ask her to check me out. Third con was that it seemed a little outdated. I ate at the restaurant on site but will review that separate. BTW, pool is open! read more

I only stay at the holiday inn if I can help it but this was a first, Holiday inn claims they are clean with covid. Despite the fact they have signs on the door that say wear masks.... Barb had her mask under her chin when I checked in.... the floor cleaner had no masks and when we did get Checked in. The housekeeper that walked by... no mask. I grabbed Clorox wipes to "make sure" the room is clean. After I sprayed Microban on everything. We went to go find food. Barb now has the mask over chin but she still couldn't quite make it up over her nose. The room looked clean but every night we had to get a new key since it the original key wouldn't work. I believe the carpet in the hallway could use a vacuum or a carpet wash or a shredder.... it could win the ugliest carpet within all holiday inns. We ate at the Burger theory and had good food for dinner. When we checked out. Both women behind the desk wasn't even attempting to wear mask. But I would say 50% guest weren't either. It's a nice hotel, great look inside, pool, hot tub, gym area. Great for a few nights but not for long term. Im a long term guest at the hotels I stay at, 2 or more weeks. No useful kitchen area, drawers are so narrow you cant fit food in there for long stays. The fridge is small and no freezer area so you're limited on what food you can bring. Theres no ventilation and windows cant open so cooking causes the fire alarm to go off, yup, I did that oops. There is a restaurant on site but I didn't utilize it. The laundry room was very reasonable and that was a plus for long stay guest. read more

I paid 45/nite over the winter during 'rona, but it seems this place is usually more like $100 a nite or more. Bills itself as 3.5 stars but really I'd say 2-2.5 is more appropriate, it's like a decent Comfort Inn rather than something just shy of a luxury hotel. Was disappointed by butt-stained sheets immediately upon checkin. They were faded enough that the sheet was probably washed, but still even Rodeway Inn and Motel 6 don't try to give you sheets in this condition. Housekeeping grumbled a bit but changed it right away for me. The lobby has coffee/tea all day but no kind of free water, kinda yikes for the price range and star rating. The TV is that 90s-style timed scroll, only about 40 channels with like 3 or 4 HBOs and no other movie channels. Has very high ratings on all sites but I was wary of some noise complaints I saw. According to the fire map there's a few rooms with conjoining doors on each floor so that might have been it. I didn't have one and didn't have any issues over two nights. This actually reminded me most of OK midscale casino hotel rooms, but not ones you would want to pay $100/nite for if you could help it. Like the Palace Station in Vegas or the Eldorado in Reno. Just with a Keurig, mini fridge and microwave here. It's fine but the normal pricing seems excessive for what it is. read more

This is a huge, new hotel/convention center. The lobby/check-in employee was friendly and efficient. Our room was beautiful, but for handicapped guests so there was a large walk-in shower instead of a tub as we requested when we made the reservation. It was late when we arrived and we were tired so we just stayed in that room. We could hear a little noise from adjoining guests. Free wifi. Good tv and channels. There was a mini fridge with a coffee maker. Only a few kleenexes in the box but no extra. The bed was very comfy. Could have used a few more pillows. The blackout curtains worked well with the strong desert sun. Plenty of parking. We had breakfast coupons; we expected the usual buffet style. Nope! We ordered off an extensive menu. Nice. The waitress/cook did a great job. Comfortable booths, tables, and bar seating. The food was delicious in large portions. Awesome brand new hotel with nice rooms and comfy beds. Check in was a breeze and the parking lot is big and pretty empty. The hotel is located behind the Dixie Center (exit 5) which makes it pretty convenient to get anywhere in town. I love love the large showers and the water pressure is great! There is also a decent sized outdoor pool that is open until 10 pm daily. The fitness center is really big compared to other hotels I've stayed at and has 4 treadmills, stationary bike, ellipticals, and dumbells The only downside is that there is no free breakfast, and the only food option is the burger restaurant located in the lobby...they have a full bar apparently though! Surprising for a hotel located in Utah! If you do check out the restaurant, keep in mind that it's only open for breakfast and dinner. You can't go wrong with this hotel if you're visiting the St George area! read more

Business or adventures? This is our second time staying here. Hotel is situated on the outskirts of town, but still close to the freeway and very easy to get 'to and from'. Beautiful and new hotel in sunny St. George, Utah. Spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. An on-site restaurant, Burger Theory is good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also, a beautiful drive to the breathtaking views of Zion National Park. Parking was easy (and free) despite next door construction. Decent views. Overall, I would stay here again...well we did! When staying at any hotel, I can care less for it being old, small etc. The #1 most important thing to me when staying at any hotel is cleanliness. The rest is secondary. Comfortable/Clean/New/Modern is how I would simply describe it. And did I say clean?! Clean enough I was actually comfortable using their towels! Ok, maybe I'm still not but they are clean enough, new and very white without any stains. Pillows were very comfortable. Love that there is one soft and one firm to choose from. Pillow case is labeled too! *see pictures* Bed, maybe a little softer than preferred as the middle kind of sinked in a bit. But we were so tired we passed out through the night anyway. Bed a little higher than many hotels, so for the shorter people may have to hop on and older people may have a tad bit difficulty. Bathroom is looks newly updated or just really well kept. Would hope they had a better place for the toilet paper roll though. Very awkward placement but understood why they put it on bottom of vanity. Good water pressure and heat level in shower. Amenities: They have a Keurig machine in the room!! Yay! They included a few Keurig cups too of course. If you have different preferences, make sure you bring along a few k-cups of your own!! They also have a microwave and fridge which is a major preference for me. So bring your favorite creamers too!! No free breakfast but again, they have a fridge and microwave. If you don't want the trouble, they offer a breakfast buffet for $9.50 at the Burger Theory Restaurant in the Lobby. They also have a coin Laundry available if needed on first floor and a fitness center with descent amounts of machines. I did however have to take a star off for 2 reasons. Downfall of no free breakfast like surrounding hotels likewise and the noise we had to endure being placed on the first floor next to the laundry room and fitness center while kids were running around screaming/ yelling at the lobby and people jumping in the rooms above us. Probably shouldn't have rooms downstairs or put guest downstairs. So if this bothers you, try to request a room on other floors. read more

First the hotel is under construction, so the entrance is on the back of the building. You will only find your room clean at your arrival, housekeeping will only clean your room once you check out. According to the staff is because of Covic 19 safety regulations. I say is pure laziness, and it sucks that you have to worry about keeping a room clean while you are on vacation, because no one will come clean it. They get 1 star because the customer service was ok, and they gave us extra towels. However, this whole not keeping the rooms clean is a huge turn off. read more

Stayed the night here during a road trip, and I have to say this place is neatly organized and clean. This place has a nice pool and jacuzzi area, and a nice 24/7 workout room with dumbbell weights topping out at 50lbs. The breakfast side to the mornings is different than a continental breakfast that we're all used to. Breakfast options are already pre-made on a menu, which sort of looks like a Denny's menu or ihop menu. You get a breakfast ticket for your free breakfast platter. Sadly if you want more food, you will have to pay for the next platter. For me, the food was quite filling. The only thing that bogged my morning breakfast experience here was that their ketchup bottles weren't filled and ready to go. Most of the ketchup bottle I tried were barely giving up some ketchup and ended up making the famous empty farting sounds of an empty ketchup bottle. To top it all off. The ketchup bottles are not see through, so it's hard to tell which one is full or empty -_- I believe they can use some quality management in the breakfast sector. We got this hotel through Hotwire and we could not be happier! The room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. I was impressed with all the little things such as: neutrogena make up wipes in the bathroom, the bath & body works little toiletries! There was a little shampoo & conditioner and a lotion and they smelt SO good! Also there was a keurig and coffee and tea which was awesome! The only CON was that the swimming pool is in between two tall buildings and there was this crazy breeze outside so we were not able to really enjoy the pool that much. Would be nice if there was also a indoor pool. As for the food, the breakfast buffet was mediocre BUT kids eat free with paying adults which was nice read more

Really enjoyed our stay here. Hotel is updated and the rooms are very nice. Customer service was excellent. We booked on Priceline and ended up paying $50 a night, which was a great deal. I think the rack rate is only about 80 bucks, which is also a good deal for this hotel. Definitely a three star location on the hotel scales. read more

Holiday Inn has stepped it up with their modern decor in the rooms and on the exterior of their buildings. Our room had a fridge, microwave, iron and Keurig coffee machine. Yes - Keurig! Thank you! My husband and I, had to stay back during Labor Day weekend due to our Jeep breaking down, but we felt comfortable -almost like home, but without our dogs. This location has a restaurant in the first floor which is very convenient for out of state visitors not familiar with the city. The front of the building faces South in the back of the building faces North which allows the spectacular views of the red mountains in Utah. The furniture in each room is modern too - the desk doubled as a dinner table and the bathroom vanity was larger too. The walk-in shower was large too. Our hotel room's bathroom floor was not clean, little hairs in the corners and along the edges. I walked to the bathroom in the middle of the night and stepped on a sticky spot on the hallway floor. No maid service until you check out. The stairway stairs haven't been vacuumed in a really long time. The carpet in the lobby under the furniture has not been vacuumed in a really long time. Visit: Sunday, June 17, 2018 Needed a place to crash for the night while driving from Los Angeles to Page, Arizona. I was tempted to book a hotel in Vegas, but the fact that Utah is on Mountain Time (and Arizona isn't on Daylight Savings) meant that we could basically sleep in an extra hour the next morning. So St. George it was. Got a decent rate for the hotel, and settled on this one because it seemed like the newest IHG property in the area. I called ahead to let the front desk know we'd be arriving late, and the same person who answered the call was there to meet us when we arrived. Check-in was a pleasant affair, and we were in our room pretty quickly. The one negative thing about our stay was that the hallways always smelled faintly of sewage. Probably a design fault with the hotel's construction, and not something the regular staff can fix, but annoying nonetheless. I went to the front desk to purchase some sunscreen, which was available for a very reasonable price. The room was exactly what you'd expect from a new Holiday Inn-branded property. Keurig machine, mini-fridge, and microwave were present, and all the fixtures in the room were in excellent condition. The bathroom was clean, and water temperature and pressure were good. Wifi was fast. The burger restaurant downstairs looked good, but we sadly didn't have the chance to try it out. I needed to print some tickets out, and was able to do so at the business center in the lobby with no trouble. Check-out was quick and painless, like at most IHG properties. Didn't need to stop by the front desk on the way out, but I wanted to double check that the sunscreen was the only thing added to the bill. This was a good place to spend the night right by the freeway. A cheaper motel probably would've done the trick, but this hotel was reasonably priced, and worth the premium in any case. read more

The hotel was very clean, especially for the volume of visitors ( there was bus loads full of teenage girls, I'm assuming for camp) I've stayed in many holiday inns over the summer with other bus loads of baseball teams and whatnot and the hotels where gross, but this hotel stayed clean! They definitely put in overtime and was extremely welcoming and very tentative. I would stay here again, and I hope these staff members get recognized for their above and beyond measures. read more

There's a restaurant in this hotel named Burger Theory. They make breakfast but there's one waitress and one cook. They don't open until 7:00 a.m. This hotel seems short of staff. The front desk helps fold the room towels at the front check in area. Some of the front staff aren't very welcoming when you walk in. Rooms were clean and smell good. Parking is tight in the front because of the new hotel next door. If there was a continental breakfast I would have given the hotel 4 stars. read more

I've stayed at numerous hotels over many years and this is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Not only were none of the staff wearing masks, one of the front desk staff members was visibly suffering from the flu or covid-19. They told us when we arrived that they only clean the rooms twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. But our room was never cleaned. I told the manager at checkout this and she complained that the room should have been cleaned but only offered a sarcastic apology a minute after she stopped talking, like she remembered she was required to do that in her training. At no time did any staff member ever make eye contact. They only looked at their computer screen, never at me. They all appeared to be extremely unhappy all the time. And I know they were unhappy to be talking with me. Maybe it was because I wore a mask. But they seemed extremely put out that they had to deal with a customer or do any work. Upon check-in, they told us if we needed anything, besides a room cleaning, to just ask. So the next day I asked for new towels to replace our old wet ones. The front desk girl suggested I get them myself and I asked if they could be brought to the room. And a few minutes later, a stranger and their kid brought us two towels, the kid holding the towels. They weren't dressed in uniform, weren't wearing masks and looked like any other people who were staying at the hotel. I think the kid and his dad were wearing shorts. I honestly had no idea who they were, they just stood there holding the towels not saying anything, but they were holding towels so I took them. The AC system had to be adjusted manually all the time. You had to switch it from heating to cooling and back to heating. During the day it's 65° outside and the room would get hot. At night it goes down to the low 30s. So we were always adjusting the thermostat up and down. On Saturday night, a large group stayed on our floor and had a huge room to room party where they partied in the hallway and slammed doors for a few hours from maybe 10-midnight. Overall I was willing to put up with anything because I just came to Utah to enjoy the hiking in Zion National Park and didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel except to sleep. But the bad customer service really soured the whole experience with that part of the vacation. They honestly seemed annoyed to be interacting with a customer. I know Holiday Inn isn't super swanky. But I was spending hundreds there. And the minimum I was hoping for was someone at the front desk who wasn't a total jerk and for a room that didn't have a week's worth of garbage piling up and week-old sheets. read more

My family and I came here for a pit stop from a funeral to come home. We already booked our rooms with intentions it would be busy. We asked for 3 rooms with two double or twin beds, and if that wasn't available to give us cots. Literally anything than the floor. We got there, we had neither, and asked the desk who rudely dismissed us. Connor was who I can remember working, I asked for a blanket or anything and understood cots or extra bedding wasn't available after we have put in our reservation. We asked for a blanket or something to sleep on the floor of our paid room that had no longer availability for our other guests, and that's when a "blanket" was literally thrown at us from Connor for our inconvenience to him and that was it. Our rooms were booked as well as our requests for extra beds if their were not rooms with physical beds available. It was so painfully rude. read more

I did not know Saint George had five star lodging until I had the pleasure of staying here. It was clean, and the staff always friendly and helpful. When I informed our server that I mistakenly got a plate from the breakfast buffet rather than order from the menu, she took my plate away and let me order what I wanted. That was an unexpected, pleasant surprise. The buffet looks fine, but you will really love the menu entrees, and it is nice that this option is offered. While breakfast is not complimentary as with average motels/hotels, it is worth it to me as the offerings are above average. The wait can be long, but we try to take that into account by arriving early enough. I do not want to stay anywhere else from now on, but I might have to because Holiday Inn Convention Center books up quickly for the venues I attend here. Hotel was great, staff was very friendly. Location was good with nice restaurants nearby and quick access to the freeway but it was far enough off that there was no traffic noise. What drags this rating down is the Burger Theory restaurant. Breakfast might be ok, I didn't try that because there was a Cracker Barrel nearby! As far as dinner, the restaurant was almost empty but still the service was very slow. I was hungry so I ordered an appetizer thinking it would come out quickly, but it took forever and when it arrived it was cold and seemed under cooked. The dinner was worse, I ordered meat medium and it was barely cooked, cool and mushy and bloody inside. Hotel was great, but based on this one experience go to one of the many nearby restaurants for dinner. read more
