We have brought Tigger, our cat, to Holiday Pet Hotel whenever we go on vacation for the past five years. Before that, we tried several other places but never for very long. Maddie and her staff do an excellent job for caring for the animals. We always got Tigger one of the large, corner enclosures so he could look out the window. However, a year ago his leg had to be amputated. Since then, he has stayed there twice. If we didn't trust the staff at the Holiday Pet Motel, we would not have even considered leaving him...both times they took really great care of him and encouraged us to contact them at any time. I chose Holiday Pet Hotel based on Yelp reviews plus the apparent love and care Jonathan has for dogs. When we toured the facility, it was clean and neat. Our dogs enjoyed this hotel. At our request, they spent seven days sharing a kennel since they're pack mates. When we picked them up, they were happy to see us but not eager to leave. They had been bathed and smelled good. Based upon their behavior, my puppies received great care, attention and feedings Upon getting home, my puppies were relaxed and calm. This is my go to dog care place whenever we travel. read more

We've boarded here twice so far and both times have been great! On our last trip we showed up with our dog's vaccines one day expired and they were very professional in explaining that they cannot take any pet who is not up to date on vaccines, even if it's just a day. We understood and with our early flight the next morning we were scrambling to get shots ASAP. They girls in the office stayed open an extra 30 minutes so we had time to get the vaccines needed for him to stay and still drop him off that night. BEWARE! After a three day stay in picking up our Frenchie his high energy love for life personality was missing. Within 30 minutes of leaving I took him to a park and he didn't have interest in chasing the ball which was highly unusual. He was only really thirsty, he drank three whole bottles of water. It's been two whole days and he's really really tired. He also shys away at quick movement. There's no way I can prove it but I feel that he was deeply neglected, possibly screamed at or worse, possibly struck. I board my dog and cat here now for the last couple years. My dog always comes back happy and never sick. My cat...well she's a cat she is never going to like being boarded But I always get her the corner suite and I know she is getting the best care and really great space. My dog When I drop him off doesn't even look back at me he just runs right back. So I trust this place. Their prices are affordable and when my dog was having a urination issue they called me and helped me deal with it. I highly recommend them. read more

Very disappointed. Our dog (48 lbs) was neglected by the staff and lost 8 lbs in 9 days and almost died. Will NEVER come back here. Friendly front desk staff, but don't know how bad the interior is. We made arrangements to have the staff check our dog's temperature daily. Nothing was done. We had to call and leave messages for two days before they finally answered. They had not taken any temperature and told us everything was fine. When we picked up our dog after 9 days he was emaciated, looked like a skeleton, had swollen ankles and lick spots on all extremities. The staff told us that they had no idea. Fortunately, after 6 weeks of care, our dog survived. We will never go back to this place. We have been customers for 8 years. Things changed in the last year, and not for the better. read more

Dropped off our 1 year old puppy on 11/24 and picked him up on 12/2 for his first stay at Holiday Pet Hotel. We decided to try this place out based on reviews and given the location.. we had to get the influenza vaccine for our dog so he got his second dosage on 11/23 and when they weighed him he was 66 lbs.. he is very healthy and fit. When we picked him up we noticed he lost a lot of weight. You could see his rib bones, hip bones etc. I weighed him when we got home and he is 58 lbs.. he was very lethargic and skittish (not his normal self). 8lbs in a week is very concerning. More than half of the food we supplied was returned and 3 of the 4 cans of dog food was returned. But they conveniently couldn't find the blanket or toys we left for him. I followed up with them and have not heard back to see if he had any issues while he was there.. eating, illness etc.. we were just told he was great while he was there when we picked him up. we were never called or notified of anything while he was there. We spoke with our vet and they said it is concerning as well and asked that we bring him in. I know it's stressful for dogs to be away and might cause them to eat less etc but if this was an issue while we were away they should have notified us and we could have made arrangements to have our dog picked up by family of friends. I trusted that I would drop my dog off in good physical condition and pick him up in good physical condition. Definitely not the case. Communication is key in caring for someone's animal and it doesn't take a lot to notice if a dog you are responsible for watching is not eating or adjusting to their environment. I'm sure our dog will be fine and gain the weight back but very disappointed with our experience given the money we paid. read more

He is uncomfortable with new people and can be bitey, but they don't seem to mind his behavior, and they are genuinely caring. The facility is clean and efficient, and the prices are reasonable. $270 FOR ONE NIGHT. Are you kidding?? The facility is guilty of non disclosure and significant overcharges. When we dropped our dogs off, we were asked if our dogs had been to the facility before. We said one had and one hadn't. We were asked when we would pick up the next day. We said we'd be there before close. Nothing was ever said about charging us for second night, but they did anyway, as well as a second day of play (when a full day wasn't received) and for duplicative services that were not rendered given our dogs stayed in a shared space. We have keeping our beloved dogs at Holiday Pet Hotel since the early 90s. After almost a year of not traveling, it was time to board our elderly dog once again. Unfortunately, our dog Jack developed chronic kidney disease and requires some special care when boarding. I needed to go away for a few weekends, including my son's graduation from college. Holiday Pet Hotel was willing to board him, and was very understanding of his current food and medication regiment. Jack has just spent the past two weekends at Holiday Pet Hotel. They keep a close eye on him, and keep me informed on how he is doing. Despite his health, he comes home happy and playful! I am able to travel now and not worry about our dog. I have full confidence in Holiday Pet Hotel's care for Jack, and know he is getting the best care. The owner Susan, and the front office staff are extremely competent and knowledgeable. Dropped our dog off for a week in a private kennel, also added on the private play time and bedtime stories. He's friendly but can be iffy with dogs. He was there for a week. When we picked him up everything seemed okay, until the next day when he had bloody diarrhea and started vomiting. This has gone on for a few days now. We took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with colitis and Giardia. The incubation period for Giardia was while he was @ the holiday pet hotel- 5-12 days. Again Ryder was there for 9 days. I was advised to call them and inform them what was going on with my dog. Rylie was instantly rude and argumentative with me and told me I'm the first person to call them about this, so it can't be their place that he got sick from. I wanted to also know how they clean their kennels, I was offended when Rylie was rude to me, as a dog mom whose (2 dogs now) are sick that she would not listen. I asked Rylie to have the manager call me and I have yet to receive a call back. Which is very concerning. I wouldn't want any other dogs to go back home sick like ours. I wouldn't recommend taking your dogs here. Seems like they really don't care. read more

This was our first time using Holiday Pet Hotel. It also will be the last. As in several other reviews, our experience was very similar. The front desk help didn't seem to have answers without going to the back. This immediately was concerning. When I picked up my pup and headed to the car, I noticed a red rash under his neck. I returned to the front office and asked what had happened to my dog. She had to go ask "the back". Upon returning, the receptionist told me it was a "hot spot" and was not a big deal. I asked if my dog was being cared for 6 days which included play time, hadn't anybody noticed and if so why wasn't I notified or told upon picking up. She had no idea! Communication was a fail. This then led me to wonder what sort of care and attention my dog had received for 6 days! The receptionist told me I would get a call the following day from the manager regarding my dissatisfaction. I never got a call! Once we got home I noticed a difference in my dog. He was lethargic, lost weight, hungry and had diarrhea. Never again will I trust this facility with my dog! read more
