7 of us stopped in for an early dinner on a recent Saturday. I had called ahead to be sure there was a table. We were seated immediately, and our server came right over to take our drink orders and describe the specials. The drink menu was great, with cocktails made from their own spirits as well as some popular brands. Plenty of local wine and beer as well. We had the Fall menu, and there were plenty of selections, traditional, vegan and gluten free, all incorporating local ingredients. The food came out pretty quickly, and it was hot. I had the schnitzel; delicious-local heritage pork with braised red cabbage and potato salad. Two forks up! Everyone said their meals were great. The best part was the service, everyone was so nice, and they worked together very well. We arrived at 3:30, and there were already a few tables seated. By the time we left the place was full, including the bar. Pro Tip: There is an upper parking lot if you can't walk up the short hill. read more

Thank you very much for getting back to me about the issue with the bees in the seating. You have a very beautiful location it is a huge asset to Naples. Your food your drinks your hospitality are second to none. I wasn't trying to criticize your business I wanted just to make it better because I noticed so many people were swatting at bees and that's a very uncomfortable feeling especially if you have allergies to them like you said. I'm sure it would be difficult to create some more shade in less you do some kind of an awning and I also understand that single umbrellas can be blown away quite quickly... We come to Naples almost every weekend and I have been doing that for years and years frequenting the Naples Hotel.. that is now gone and that is how we found your establishment. We were a little skeptical at first about your food because my fiance is a vegan. But more and more we are finding that restaurants are being more sensitive to those issues and people with gluten and other dietary needs. After eating there several times we loved everything that we had and she was able to eat what she wanted so that made us very happy and we will definitely be back even in the winter without the bees. Favorite weekend lunch place. Great food and cocktails. We love to sit inside upstairs on their vintage couch. It's not full service, but that's what makes it fun as we like to chill. Really glad we decided to stop in for lunch at Hollerhorn while my husband and I were visiting Naples for the weekend. It's a cute place with a nice atmosphere and great cocktails and food. We decided to share a few things instead of getting larger plates - we ordered the Deviled Eggs, Baba Ganoush, and Mushroom Tartine and everything was delicious. This was plenty of food for two people. Next time I'd like to try the Horn-dog but I didn't realize there was a vegetarian option for it until after we'd ordered. I don't remember which cocktails we had but they were really good and we would have liked to try more, but they were unfortunately closing early for a private event (I recommend calling ahead because we would have missed out completely if we'd arrived a little later!). I'd like to point out that this was the most vegetarian-friendly menu I was able to find in Naples, which I really appreciated! We'll definitely be back if in the area again. read more

Last thing if you are still reading, as an example of the thoughtful nature in which this place was constructed and is ran the owner after 10 years of planning in addition to learning the trade in Scotland reclaimed wood for its construction and hand made the banister railings and legs... A gem in Naples! Don't be fooled by their sign, while they are a distiller, they also serve delicious food. First time at Hollerhorn. Upon entering, I Immediately loved the atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside on their deck with beautiful views. I had the corn chowder and caprese salad. Chowder had sweet corn, potatoes and bacon-Yum! Salad was super fresh with mozzarella, sweet peppers and a light vinagrette. My husband had the grass-fed beef burger with cheese, mushrooms, peppers and crispy onions - so tasty. No spirit tasting during this stop as we had been tailgating all weekend at a college game. Will definitely return for a tasting and more delish food. read more

The good: This is a well put together place that seems to be a work in progress. The bartenders make great craft cocktails but in the spirit of the hipster bar trend, they take forever to prepare (our food made it to the table first). The food came out alarmingly fast so I was worried it was old and reheated. This was not the case. The caprese burger and crab cake sandwich were delightful and tasty. The olive tapas was super good. The staple of this distillery is the spirit distilled from maple syrup. You would think it would be sugary with a rum like taste but it wasn't. It is an incredibly tasty spirit. I highly recommend the house spirits. We tried the Sapling and left with a bottle of both the Sapling and the Seedling. The bad: I would have given this place five stars except for the lack of ambiance. No music played whatsoever and we were made to walk up to a bar and order our food and drinks each time. I realize the 'Covid world' we live in but the process of ordering could have been much easier for the patron while still maintaining protocol. The seating is obviously a hurdle for all restaurants right now but our table was situated next to a railing overlooking high weeds and a half finished landscaping project. I would recommend visiting regardless as the staff were friendly and accommodating. read more

I've been there several times- after a day of hiking for a nice filling, relaxing meal, from the cottage 20 minutes away or even (most times) from home, an hour away. I never leave disappointed and am often excited to return. I always feel comfortable there, even after a day at Hi-Tor or a day at home on East Ave, it doesn't matter. What matters is the food and service and boy, do they have both. First visit to Hollerhorn with 5 friends yesterday. Hollerhorn advertises as a cigar friendly establishment, in fact they have cigars on their menu and sell them when you enter the place. The vibe of the place was not what we were expecting. It felt a bit condescending, for example, in the men's room a traditional notice with something extra, "all employees must wash hands,you should too". Observing the customers and staff we felt as if we entered millennial/snowflake land. Not a place where cigars are typically welcome. It was not long after we lit up that another customer (we'll call her Karen) complained and we were asked to extinguish our cigars or go smoke them in the parking lot, leaving our spouses behind, not why we came as a group. Unfortunately we already have half of our drinks (which to be fair were very well made) and it was too late to leave. The hostess was professional and handled things well, cudos to her. Hollerhorn should not be advertising itself as cigar friendly (we were outside as there was a strong breeze, so no one was being affected by our cigars but us) if they are not. I would recommend putting a notice on your website letting customers know that your environment has changed due to Covid and you no longer accommodate cigars. We drove down from Rochester to join us at Hollerhorn and we were all disappointed. One last thing, there was a horrible odor outside that smelled like a septic tank. We were told that it was the distillery, frankly the cigars would have helped us deal with the stench. In any event, our first visit to Hollerhorn will probably be our last. read more

Really nice place with a beautiful view. Much more than a distillery. Unique menu items, and what we ordered was done very well. The day we were there there was a fun folk/bluegrass band which added to the fun atmosphere. The only concern was the ordering process, or lack thereof. The line for ordering drinks was so slow most people were ordering two drinks at a time. Understanding cocktails may take a bit longer than wine/cider/drafts, but WOW it was a bit of mess trying to get drinks. read more
