This was our 2nd time trying Lock Stock and it was just as satisfying as the first. We both opted for cheese heavy pastas. I had fettucine alfredo with chicken and broccoli and Brian had Mac and Cheese with bacon. The alfredo was flawless. I ate and enjoyed every single bite, it was so satisfying as something so indulgent and infrequently eaten should be. The Mac & Cheese was great also and beautifully browned when it was served. The atmosphere is low-key most of the time but on some evenings there is live music which can be pretty loud. There weren't many places to eat near the ski slopes, so we stopped here and were not disappointed. After skiing for the first time in 35 years (woot!) and surviving it, I celebrated with a healthy salad and their ancient grains side dish. Both were tasty and so good for me that I had to stop myself from eating all of hub's fries in the inevitable boomerang aftermath. Ha! (The fries were delicious, too.) The server was a bit overwhelmed, but she managed quite gamely. Truly one of the better "dive" bars I've been to! This place may look unassuming on the outside but inside this ski restaurant really shines. Food was excellent with some of the cheesiest macaroni I've ever had. Tons of vegetarian options and some GF items as well. Cocktails were interesting and they had a great beer selection both on tap and canned. The bathroom was absolutely spotless and our server was great and attentive. We moved to South Bristol over two years ago and actually found Lock on Yelp. It was May 5. They had amazing tacos and marg specials that were perfect after a long day of moving. This is our go-to now. We love the vibe, we have become friendly with the great waitstaff and bartenders. They have fun events like trivia and themed specials each week, live music, and food specials. I highly recommend it. They have something for everyone on the menu. I love that they have Touch-tunes as well to pick fun music! The owners are great and live when the chef comes out and asks customers how everything is. They do get busy. Our food and service were great! The ambiance is casual and fun. My server was Ethan and he was AMAZING. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. This spot, food and owner came highly recommended to me on my search to get a chef to come cook food at our Airbnb when we visited the area for my sister's bachelorette. The random google recommendation couldn't have steered us in a better direction. From the start with booking and planning with the owner Leann was truly amazing. She was responsive, nice and helpful. Then when the day arrived and the delicious bbq food was served to my large party it went beyond any expectations. The food was so good and accommodated our one gluten free member of our group. At the Airbnb we met the other owner Kevin, so friendly and nice and our chef for the night, Hank. Hank heated/cooked food, served us and mingled right in professionally with the fun vibes we were having. This is a great local service with yummy food for anyone looking to get food at a separate location for any type of catering event. I'm sure the food at the restaurant is just as yummy but I can't speak to personal experience. Highly recommend this food, the amazing owners and chef Hank! We are from out of town and decided to go here after looking at the reviews. This restaurant did not disappoint. It's is a quaint and cozy place with the feel of a ski lodge, which appears what they were going for. We ordered the bavarian pretzel, calamari and nacho appetizers. Our entrees were the buffalo chicken mac & cheese, black bean burger, pastrami rubin chicken fingers, goats in the valley salad, and cajun chicken wrap. Everyone loved their meals, even the vegetarian in our group. Everyone only had good things to say about their food and drinks. The servers were very attentive. Went for lunch a bunch of times after skiing. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it has a great post-ski cabin like feel. Service was great every time. Food great. Reasonable prices. But really the 5 stars goes to the cook each time! Consistently great food. One day the fries came out cold (sandwich was hot) and the waitress said "the cook knows your fries are cold but didn't want your sandwich to get cold. There are hot fries on the way". Seriously? A cook who recognizes cold fries and corrects it without asking. Coming from a person who doesn't eat cold fries... bravo cook. Bravo! Note to owner: tacos on taco Tuesday were good! However I can't believe the salsa was house made (as we were told by the server). I call BS on that. And if it IS house made... then know it tastes like it's out of a plastic bottle. Found this gem out of pure luck. We walked in and the one woman warned us she was working the front by herself and warned us. She absolutely killed it! Service was fast, drinks never got low and she did it all with a smile and kindness. Really really solid beer selection. They have about all the domestics you can think of plus they have a great selection of local breweries. The food was on point too. We started with artichoke spinach dip. It was a huge portion with big chucks of artichoke, very very good. Two of the guys with me were vegetarians. One guy got the black bean burger. It is a real in house made black bean burger. The other guy got the stuffed eggplant, it was a special, it was literally 1/2 an eggplant hollowed out with great ingredients. I got the cable car, it was a Italian sausage hoagie with peppers with fresh mozzarella. It was top notch good and great flavor. The only thing that was not killer good was the cowboy caviar. However the food does not even compare to angry goat, I was disappointed. Tried one of the hamburgers and it had no flavor and a huge gob of goat cheese. The chicken wings were also a let down.
