Most salons I go to they rip off my head like I'm there tester mannequin when they were in school but i have nothing but compliments on Paige she was very gentle with the blow dry process the shampoo bowl and not giving me the awkward makeup line! Megan is hands-down the best hairstylist I've ever had work on my hair. I have long hair past my armpits. It is thick and color blonde and long and hard to manage for most. She takes special attention to each and every client and makes my hair look and feel gorgeous every time I see her. What I love most about Megan is that after a long day of doing hair she goes home and studies hair trends, looks and techniques. I cannot say enough about Megan!! I have never loved my hair more than I do now! I came in a bit hesitant because I do not generally color my hair but I left feeling so glamorous with my new Balayage look- perfectly subtle, just like I wanted! I literally cannot rave about Megan enough. She's so creative and always current on the new styles! Her salon is reasonably priced and she comes with a ton of recommendations on how to style at home and what products to use so that even my go-to "wash and wear" hair cut looks really polished. I've religiously followed her for the past year and a half from when she was doing hair out of her living room, to a salon, and finally her own studio as shes marketed her brand and solidified her status as one of Chicago's really great hidden secrets. Well, long story short, Ms. Thing thought she was slick and was planning on charging me full price. I came into the salon freshly relaxed and blow dried. I only wanted a cut and curl. In fact, I sent her a message stating that I wanted to be curled and left her my number and email address. When I got there, she acknowledged that she received said message. I tell the shampoo girl I'm only getting cut & curled. Kelli says "oh we don't do that." Why? Because "I like to use my own products. I don't know what you put in your hair." Um, how about you just ask me what I used. She tried to tell me that I picked an add on service. But it didn't say that online (see above. Copy/pasted straight from StyleSeat.com). Plus she had my contact info. I showed her 2 pictures of pretty much the same cut, except one cut was a little longer. Needless to say, home girl chopped my hair off! And when I say chopped, I mean CHOPPED!! Uneven and chunky with too many weighted ends. I told her I didn't like what she had done so far. She then proceeded to tell me that she doesn't do just cuts and curls without shampooing. Then, she said she wasn't finished and that she still needed to go back in and "clean it up." Fine. She then said "$35." I said "how about $30." She said "I don't barter my prices. That's just where I am in my career." What!?! She didn't bother to move my ears & touched my 3x with that hot ass flat iron. I wanted to go HAM. but it's supposed to be a "Christian" Salon. Gospel music bumpin & scriptures on the walls so I minded my manners. I gave her $35 and wrote a recommendation on styleseat. Well of course she wasn't going to post a bad review, but I will. Do not waste your time with Kelli Williams. You will be disappointed.
