I could not have had a better moving experience other than with Hollymove, and they made sure my first professional moving experience in Los Angeles was as best as it could be. First, Nicolas and Jose were punctual, kind, courteous, and focused. They arrived 10 minutes early to set up, and introduced themselves to us and got acquainted with us. They paid a lot of attention to small details evident in the advanced wrapping of the furniture and other items we didn't want to get blemished, with blankets and tape as if they were packing and shipping them to across the country. We offered to help with our huge couch because we moved it into our apartment by ourselves, so we knew how incredibly difficult that was, but Nicolas and Jose insisted they would still do it themselves, including arranging the super heavy couch in our new apartment. By the way, our couch couldn't fully fit inside our new apartment's elevator, so Nicolas and Jose had to carry it up the stairs D: luckily it was only one flight of sizable stairs to which we exclaimed distress, but Nicolas laughed and said "don't worry it's apart of the job!" I've used MuraWay which was a 0 star experience after they damaged our units and property, went over the allotted time, and harassed us for leaving a bad review. I've also used Pure, which was fine but had a couple hiccups. HollyMove was a 10/10 experience every step of the way. Jose and Eduardo showed up early (didn't catch the other mover's name), and they were so friendly and efficient. Their team of 3 moved our 2 bedroom 2 bath unit across town and into the new unit in less than 3 hours. They had a solution for everything and clearly have lots of experience with moves. Even our most fragile of items came out unscathed. They were also just super nice and communicative, definitely honest guys. The owner, Brissa, is super communicative throughout the move. We chose HollyMove because they had consistent 4 and 5 star reviews. We were hopeful due to this. Their hourly rate is quite low (perhaps it is too low?) We have a 3 bedroom apartment but we really only use two bedrooms. When we moved in, we hired movers for one day, and it took them about 5 hours to do the move, including packing the large items (furniture, TV, electronics), kitchen items, and miscellaneous small items. We told HollyMove we would pack all the clothing and books, which is most of the stuff we have - we wanted them to just pack the odds and ends and fragile items. What surprised us was when they said they thought the move would take a total of 2 full days - if there's one thing we dislike it is slow movers. We had that experience once where the movers moved at a glacial pace and it was frankly so frustrating to see that. We expect fast, fast service when we hire movers. Especially given that they are devoting three people to the move. We decided to go with a different mover who committed to doing the move in one day as we expected. read more

We just completed our move with HollyMove a few hours and Nicolas, Jose and Benjamin were such a pleasure to work with. Brissa who gave me all information and coordinated the move also provided excellent customer service. They were very punctual - showed up 5 mins before our scheduled time and the moment they got the truck parked, it was go time. They wrapped our furniture in blankets, made sure we had wardrobe boxes we needed, dismounted the TV from our wall, and just kept going. Once we arrived at the new place, they carefully unloaded everything, unwrapped our furniture, installed our TV mount and made sure all boxes went to the right rooms. I did my deep research before I picked up HollyMove. After about 10 Quotes and talking to many movers, I decided to go with them. 1 - Very well managed and professional to deal with. Brissa reached out via text and then called when I requested to plan the move. 2 - I changed the pick-up time from 9 am to 7 am. They had no issues with it. 3 - The movers showed up at my address 5 minutes before time, i.e. 6:55 am. They did their stuff quickly, and I could see them enjoying their usual work day. That radiates a positive attitude. 5 - Both folks delivered my items safely to my new home and helped me set up a few things, as I didn't have tools then. 6 - The Quote I got from Brissa was very reasonable and transparent. I recently had a move done by Holly Move! They came prepared with all of the materials and everything that was needed! The guys were very nice and got to work right away. Overall it was a good experience however for me the service took much longer than I thought it would but that's completely on me as I underestimated how much stuff I had so I would recommend to hire 3 movers vs 2. I felt that the movers didn't tape my things until I had asked them to cover certain items. 2 of my items unfortunately got slightly damaged in the process, which was disappointing (my dining table had a significant chip on it and the leg of my bookshelf totally broke). Overall the price per hour was unbeatable by competitor moving companies but I think they need to make sure they are careful with moving items otherwise would have received 5 stars from me. read more

Nicholas and Jose were awesome, they were super friendly and prompt and careful with my belongings. We did a brief walkthrough to see what we were working off and him and Jose got right to it. They also had extra boxes that I ended up needing, which made the move so much smoother. They helped me pack up my kitchen since I was concerned about not properly wrapping my kitchenware. I also didn't have proper protection for my mattress, TV, or monitor and they took care of it for me. Once on-site, we realized that I had the wrong-sized storage unit so Nicholas helped me walk the different unit sizes to find the right size to limit the price increase. Definitely recommend this company, I plan to use them again once I move my items out of the storage unit. I've moved a handful of times across different cities, and when I moved out of my old apartment in KTown, which was up a few flights of stairs, into a ground level unit near Burbank, I did thorough Yelp research and landed on Hollymove based on reviews and the fact they weren't this massive moving company. They are very skilled movers with great attention to details on our items. The move involved a two bedrooms and a living room items plus a washer, dryer, a refrigerator, and many boxes. They were was able to dis-assemble the bed frames, the refrigerator door from the old place and re-assemble them without any issues in the new place. I was especially impressed with Nicolas's sense of humor of saying "it is too easy".
