We had a great experience from start to finish. The three movers that we had where Jose, Art, and Justin. It was such a great experience. It felt like hanging out with friends instead of moving, but that doesn't mean that they didn't bust their humps from the second. They showed up until the end. it was a long move. We had a lot of boxes and we had stairs on both and we moved 50 miles away in Los Angeles. They never took a break. They were grateful for us for doing small things like sandwiches and donuts. They took exceptional, and I mean, exceptional care of every single item. I have moved a lot and I have had a lot of bad moving experiences or just boring. Nothing bad nothing good happened but these guys really made the experience great! And the thing is, we were so exhausted by the time they showed up on that Sunday morning they came and they just made us feel so relaxed and put us at ease that everything was gonna work out and it was just great. I was actually sad to see them go. I cannot recommend them enough! Professional, courteous, careful, thoughtful, thorough, exceptional service! and the lead on the job, Jose texted us after to make sure that everything went OK I've never had that kind of service. They also turned on our televisions on both sides just to make sure that they were OK and that they worked and I really love that. It shows that they go the extra mile. Viktor and his team (Andres, Sergei) helped us with our 3rd(?) move with Royal Moving. We've hired them again and again not just for the repeat customer discount but because they've done a solid job each time -- even if there are other companies that do it for cheaper. The team was efficient, respectful, and understanding of the hot mess of a move we had for them - lots of packing help with not a lot was ready to go, plus some unexpected furniture moving that required disassembly/reassembly. They came right about 15 minutes after the end of the arrival window which actually worked out well so we could prepare more for them, but overall everything was faster than they/we estimated which is great when you're paying by the hour. They used supplies we had bought from Home Depot and Amazon, plus their own for the wardrobe and other big things. One glass jar was broken in the unpacking process and they were quick to apologize and clean it up the best they could. While they ask customers to leave a review (totally understandable), I appreciate that they don't incentivize for them nor do they demand 5 stars. We'll be calling for them again, no doubt. I am currently having a very bad experience with Royal Moving. They are unfairly, and I believe illegally, keeping $1000 (one thousand dollars) of my money. Their employee/representative, James Treasure, contacted me to work a deal where he guaranteed to take ALL of my belongings (except my motorcycles) out of a storage room and deliver them to my new home. Cost: $2000. He used my photographs and the dimensions of my storage unit to estimate 300 cubic feet of stuff. Turns out he is either a moron or a thief, because it turned out I have closer to 1000 cubic feet of stuff. When the actual workers showed up (contract truck/movers, not the owned and operated truck and employees James promised), they said my contract only allowed for a third of the space I required. Royal said they would be glad to make room on the truck for all of my stuff, for an additional $1200. The agreement I made with James Treasure was based on the bad information he supplied. He told me I had 300 cubic feet of stuff, when in actuality I had closer to 1000 cf. Whether James is incompetent or a scam artist doesn't change the fact my contract with Royal Moving is fraudulent inducement. I contacted Isaiah at Royal and asked for my $1000 deposit back. He said they would be keeping my deposit because I cancelled at pickup. They wasted my time during a stressful move, wanted to charge me 60% more than they agreed to, and then punished me for cancelling their deceitful contract. Yes I'm pursuing legal recourse. read more

Although we did not end up using this company for our move, I wanted to rate them from the experience/ communications we had. We decided on another company just because their price was better. In the 11th hour before our move, that mover had issues with our scheduling, so I called Royal back to see if they could do our move literally that day or the next. I understand what a huge ask this was. They were accomodating and figuring out how to make it work. The fact that they even considered this was very appreciated by us! In the end, we still went with the other company because they got their scheduling resolved. I'm writing this because I genuinely don't want anyone else to get scammed or go through what I did. I truly don't understand how this company has so many five-star reviews. I question if they're real. I spoke with either Alex or Emily on the phone and thought I knew what I was getting into from the verbal quote. They quoted me after I told them all the furniture I had and ensured me that it would be 3-4 hours, but the move dragged on for 7 hours. This is after I had already moved about half of my belongings myself to a place only half a mile away earlier in the week (the entire kitchen, all my books, bathroom, living room items). The movers were painfully slow, disorganized, and careless. A few of my furniture items have scratches in them from the move, and the newly painted walls are scraped up. What should have been a simple local move turned into one of the most frustrating and *expensive* experiences I've ever had with a company. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere -- you deserve movers who are honest and efficient. UPDATE: Changed to three stars since I spoke with Nick and got a refund for 3 hours. read more

They delivered my furniture 4 days late, and they were not communicative at all or even apologetic about the delay. We had scheduled a delivery day and time, and only hours before they told me that it was not going to happen. Every day after that, I called them and they told me it was being delayed by a further day. They never reached out to me to tell me or to schedule a new time. I had to reach out to them every time. Finally, after 4 days I got them to schedule a time. To add insult to injury, they showed up over 2 hours late to that scheduled time too. The 3 guys that did my moving were great, they worked hard and moved all of my things carefully. They made sure they asked me clarifying questions about items being moved and where I wanted them in my new place. One of them seemed like he had an attitude, but two of them were quite nice and friendly. I tipped all of them $100 as my appreciation of their hard work and attention to detail. The things I didn't like was the day before I was supposed to move I was initially scheduled for 9-10 am, then was rescheduled to 2-5pm due to the moving company having trucking issues. They arrived 20 minutes late after the latest time frame, at 5:20. Which was a huge inconvenience for me for the whole day. The company offered me a 5% discount which I don't feel eased any of my frustration. I didn't end up getting moved into my new place until 8:30pm. Would I use this company again? Maybe. Maybe not. But this experience wasn't the best and I would likely look elsewhere next time. read more
