06/2026 Rating: 3.0 RESTAURANT [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is smaller than I expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were sat at a corner table for 4 that was unfortunately way too close to the wall and tall pillar that it felt cramp especially when having to get up everytime because my son could only come out one way and then we keep bumping on to the table next door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cleanliness is as what you would expect of Disney properties from the dining areas, food counters and restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FOOD For a buffet, we were very shocked to discover that one of the dish we enjoyed the most were the tofu. The chicken nugget on the cornbread was so delicious with the Chicken slightly sweetened with honey. Selections were not overwhelming, but sufficient for hungry people of old ages. Desserts were just ok. CUSTOMER SERVICE I have to say that service was a little bit off that day compared to other character dining experience we've had. Server was OK. Goofy seemed perturbed that we had to call him back to take pictures. Buffet line Nate Carver was really nice. Mickey and Minnie were adorable and took time to adore my bestie's special ears. Overall, this experience alright. The food were delicious and selection is not bad but it did seem lackluster compared to other character dining experiences. I tried Hollywood and Vine pre-COVID and the buffet was better than Chef Mickey. I tried it during COVID and didn't like the family style buffet choices. Chef Mickey choices were far better, so my family and I kind of wrote them off. Well that was until this week! Disney offered pass holders 40% off so we decided to give it another try for dinner! And boy am I glad we did!We really came for the characters and got so much more! The food was really good for a buffet, and seasoned well! Our favorites with the Spiced BBQ Chicken, Sweet chili salmon, cornbread pudding, Mac and cheese with bacon, and Brussels sprouts were great!!! My kids really enjoyed the pizza and Mac & cheese! There was a major hiccup when we checked in. My husband was told that they were 30 minutes behind reservations time. We had a 7:50 pm reservation which meant our table wouldn't be ready until almost 8:30. I had my 12 week old son with us, so this was a bummer. They said they would text us when the table was ready. We never received a text (my husband actually got it the next morning at 1:30 am!). After 30 minutes we decided to all back up to the restaurant to find that the hostess desk was packed up and that they had taken their last reservation for the night. The hostess was able to speak to the manager, and they did accommodate us. Unfortunately, we were only able to see the characters once and we kind of felt like dinner was rushed as a result. Would have been one star if not for the photo ops with the characters who were great. The servers are professional and friendly. Love the servers and staff, but the food is an amateur act. Spaghetti-Os in a can is better than the macaroni. The shrimp is rubbery and not fresh. Chicken drumsticks were dried out. The Bread pudding was a stuck lump. I don't think I need to go on. When a Disney meal is below average to the surrounding area that's sad. The Fantasmic show is a good reason people come here. It's certainly not for the food. This is not the only Disney restaurant that slipped in quality Cost is $64 per person. We only came to get the Annual Pass Holder discount. But the character photos are terrific. read more

If you're looking for character dining that has really good food, this is the place. We booked a 10:20 reservation so we were able to enjoy the breakfast buffet AND the lunch one during our visit. This meant we got to try so many dishes and were truly impressed with it all. We are typically not fans of buffets but the quality of the food and temp (always hot) were impressive. Here are some standouts: Salmon bagel casserole, bananas Foster French toast, and cheesy potato casserole were standouts for breakfast. Lots of variety, eggs were great and bacon cooked perfect. They even had an omelette station. They had a sweet corn casserole that was on both menus and it was delicious. For lunch, our waitress recommended trying the tofu which was crispy and had a teriyaki sauce. We loved the peel and eat shrimp, so fresh and meaty. The spicy chili salmon was also incredible, and definitely brought the spice. The shrimp and bacon Mac was super tasty along with the cheesy cauliflower. Finished the meal with some of their soft serve. I hear from another review that they had Disney Jr characters once upon a time, which is too bad because my daughter loves Sofia the First and Puppy Dog Pals. Great buffet! We were so hungry when we arrived but the characters came right to the table so we paused for some pictures. I thought it was rushed at first but they were around pretty much back and forth for the whole time we were there. Well, let's get back to the buffet, man, there were so many delicious plant based options. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a kids section too. When it was time for dessert, my kids were so excited for the soft serve but unfortunately, they are both dairy based. I asked our server and he said they had both chocolate and vanilla tofutti available so he brought some out and we headed to the soft serve station for some toppings. Ate here for lunch to get the special Fantasmic seating tickets for the 8 pm show. Check in was quick and we were seated unexpectedly earlier than anticipated. I chose Hollywood & Vine to celebrate my birthday and to enjoy some character dining on birthday weekend, and it turned out to be a great choice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The characters were dressed in their Halloween costumes, and each one came by our table not once but twice. They were so sweet and engaging, adding joy to the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The buffet had a lot of variety. The standout for me personally was the mushroom risotto -- rich, full of flavor. I also really enjoyed the cheesy cauliflower, sautéed garlic green beans, and peel-and-eat shrimp. The large shrimp where perfectly cleaned but shells left. I had tap water to keep hydrated and avoid excess sugary drinks (not my favorite taste, so I'd recommend another drink if you're sensitive to that) but ended the meal with a hot cup of chamomile tea. Our server, Crystal, brought two tea bags, honey, and fresh lemon without having to ask; all was appreciated and more than adequate. It was a thoughtful touch, though I noticed they didn't provide a stirrer. Dessert isn't usually my thing, but I tried the strawberry tres leche cake since a fresh batch had just come out. I was the first to scoop a small sliver, and the strawberry sprinkled topping gave it a fun flavor and texture. The soft serve, on the other hand, was icy rather than creamy, so I couldn't enjoy and discarded. Service overall was very good. Crystal was kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The only real disappointment was that when we were seated, the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything. She noted my birthday on the ticket, but it was never mentioned again -- not even a small "happy birthday." A little acknowledgment would have been nice especially considering this was the reason for the splurge, but it didn't ruin the experience - just would have been the icing on the cake to top off the birthday dinner experience. Total cost for two people, including a 20% tip, was $145.97. Eeek -- definitely on the pricey side -- but since it was a birthday meal and a special experience, I was okay with it. We picked this place since it had the most options for a Gluten free diet. We bought the Fantasmic Dinning package with the meal. I'm not a big fan of buffets, but I must say they really went over the top in service and helpfulness in choosing safe options. Not only was there multiple options, they tasted delicious. Since we were visiting at lunch the main meet was sliced steak or ham. Both very well prepared. The crispy Brussel sprouts was the star. The only bad dish was the salad, as it tasted like it just came out of a bag with a chemical taste. I'm always trying different places at Disney and this one was no exception as it was food and characters how do you go wrong? Coming here I didn't really know what to expect because it was my friends choice but what I found was a lot of different options from lots of side dishes to some marinated chicken to some honey ham to some shrimp Mac and cheese all of which was just ok as nothing here really stood out as being amazing while it all was good I just feel like it was pretty standard and that it's all about the characters interaction here and not the food. The desert bar was cool too the apple crisp with the ice cream was yummy and it was definitely one of the better things here for the given night! Overall it was a cute time with friends Disney characters and some food what was good so you really can't go wrong but it's with this that I really feel like I wouldn't be back here again as there are other places that are just that much better! read more

The variety of options was endless it seemed, but their eggs Benedict, donut hole and fried chicken on a skewer (I don't even want to think about how many the five of us consumed), and Mickey waffles were a table favorite. They even have a dessert bar at breakfast, so naturally we got ice cream at 9:30 in the morning. Now the icing on the cake for this experience was the service. Our server, Gus, was fantastic. He made sure we had what we needed, was quick to whisk off the empty plates, and just was the pinnacle of hospitality. When they found out we had a birthday boy at the table, they brought out a birthday cupcake at breakfast. We were at Disney for birthdays last year, but a birthday cupcake at breakfast was extra special. Overall a nice experience in terms of a character all you can eat meal with an option to get a fantasmic dinning package. The food was decent at the buffet. The highlight for me was definitely dessert with the amazing strawberry tres leches cake. As for the meet and greats each character was sweet and took their time visiting. Walking in, the restaurant has kind of a retro vibe. (I didn't realize until later that it was connected to 50's Primetime Diner!). Today we did the character dining for Minnie's Spring Event. This restaurant is buffet style. Our waiter came over and gave us the rundown of all of the food on the buffet and took our drink order. The food was very tasty and flavorful. I'd always been afraid to try today but when it said "Asian Glazed" I figured why not?! It was absolutely delicious, to the point that I went back for seconds! Food wise - everything was really good and our server was great! We definitely got to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy multiple times as well. Since there were six of us, even though 3 weren't even 3 yet, we were still charged an 18% automatic gratuity. (Which is fine because we usually tip over 18%). Our server was great and deserved it and then some! Overall, it was a great experience. However, I feel It's a bit pricey for the buffet + character meal at $63/adult. Let's be honest, this is really all about the character dining and nothing more. The food was on par with the buffet quality (decent) at the Magic Kingdom and slightly inferior to the better character dining buffet at Chef Mickey at The Contemporary resort. The characters here do come fairly frequently so if you don't want to wait hours to get photos with the main characters (Mickey/Minnie/Goofy/Pluto) at the theme parks then this is a good option to consider. The atmosphere is loud and raucous which is what'd you'd expect from something like this here. It also needs no reminder, but just fyi you need to reserve this in advance like other character dining options. You can show up but I wouldn't recommend it if you're trying to do stuff like this on the fly. Bonus points for their very lovely Turkey dinner/options during Thanksgiving. Earlier this month, we took a trip to Disney World and a while in Hollywood Studios we attended the Hollywood and Vine restaurant for a character breakfast. This is a typical Disney buffet style restaurant, one of many that features character meals to enjoy with family. The restaurant was clean and the ambience was very 50s diner. The food was hot, fresh and constantly restocked to ensure abundance. Hot honey fried chicken and waffles along with cheesy eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, and many other dishes to appeal to all tastes. The service was good, although we were only assigned a single waitress for a large party. She worked hard to keep things running smoothly. Multiple characters appeared several times during our breakfast, so there was certainly no shortage of entertainment with children dancing in the isles and parents vying for pictures with all the characters who are only too happy to pose and interact with them. This restaurant, Hollywood & Vine (Character Dining & Buffet) is located in the Hollywood Studios, just a left turn after a short entering. We had a dinner reservation at 4:30 PM and showed up on time but there were already quite a few people waiting outside. After about 10 minutes, we were led into the restaurant. Upon entering, the cast members will help to take group photos in front of the Halloween backdrop (Halloween decorations ended on 11/4/2023). The cast members were very friendly and shared with us the tips of taking good pictures with characters. So, they suggested that children sit near aisle will be convenient for parents to take photo. The buffet options were diverse, and everything was honestly delicious. Even our two picky-eating kids were quite satisfied! Personally, I think it's better than the Crystal Palace buffet in the Magic Kingdom. The salmon and the drunken shrimp were particularly impressive. As for characters, they kept circulating around and interacting with each table. We happened to take photos with Minnie just before starting our buffet, and the others took turns coming by during the whole dining experience. So basically you don't need to worry about missing out any chances to take pictures with all characters at all! They made several rounds, and if they saw us eating and wouldn't bother us but still did a quick check and then moved on to the next table. The characters were also very friendly and tried to fulfill everyone's requests. The characters we met that day were: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy. Hollywood & Vine is a restaurant located near the front of disneys Hollywood studios. It is one of Disney parks famed and sought after dine with a character meet and greet with a buffet. They over breakfast, lunch and dinner and usually require a reservation well in advance. Me having 5 daughters and being frequent Disney park attendees we've always wanted to try one of these but never got a reservation because we hardly can plan our parks and time frames that far in advance. It was close to closing time when we decided to take a chance and ask the host if any spots were available for our party size. The park was not as crowded as normal that day so we took the Al chance. They said to come back In 40 minutes and they could get us in for last reservation spot. As you walk in the interior is massive. They have a huge buffet that spans all across the back with foods from all over the world. They have a massive dessert buffet in the middle as well. The buffet is all you can eat so you can really go all out eating wise and have lots of options. The characters came out in intervals of a rotation between the classic characters of Mickey, Minnie, goofy, Pluto and friends. They walk around an interact with the guests then disappear for a few moments and come back. My 3 year old was over the moon and so ecstatic. I was hesitant on the pricing because it is $60 plus and adult and $40 a kid. But her smile and joy made it all worth it. Plus the food was actually really good and plentiful. I can say I ate my money worth. My picky 12 year old didn't eat $5 worth though so it balanced out. As happy as my 3 year old was my 1 year old was the opposite. She was fine from a distance but when they got within touching distance she threw a fit. So that was a bummer. But all the other girls still loved it and we all loved watching my 3 year old being head over heels starstruck. Overall I'm glad we finally got to do one. And since it was closing time there was hardly anyone there so no waits on foods or desserts. First things first, if this was not in comparison to other Disney restaurants it would be 5 stars. The inside is clean, the food is good, the characters are AWESOME!! The thing is I didn't love the food very much. I just wasn't super excited by it. I think it could use an upgrade. I LOVED the characters, they were AWESOME! We had the best time at Hollywood and Vine! I've been to a few character dining at the parks and by far, this has been my favorite. When I made reservations, we opted for the Fantasmic dining package. Sure, it's a bit more expensive ($75 as of 8/20/24) but we thought it was worth it. Our lunch reservation was for 1:10 pm and we had the option to check in 20 mins prior on the app or at the hostess stand. We got to the hostess stand around 12:45 pm and the very pleasant and lovely people already made us feel welcome. Not even 2 mins after checking in, we got a text that our table was ready. The restaurant basically changes its theme every season and today it was Halloween themed so all the characters were dressed in their Halloween costumes - it was darling! The restaurant was not completely full so the characters went around our table at least 2-3 times. Food here was pretty good too. Again some of their items are seasonal. They have something for everyone. My personal favorites are the wasabi salmon (fork tender and so moist) and fried tofu (crispy exterior with sticky sauce). Service we received was top notch. Our server, Nicholas was super attentive and was wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for character dining at HS. I can't wait until I get to come back here again!! read more

We had such an amazing experience here. When you do your reservation make sure to select the dinner and Fantasmic package not just the dinner. Do this and you will get FREE VIP tickets to the best show at Disney World. Fantasmic!! The food was excellent and the service was great. You get to meet Mickey, Goofy, Minnie and Pluto! Peal and eat shrimp, maple salmon was amazing and fresh cooked and cut steak. Try the chocolate cake for dessert it is the best! I'm surprised for the negative reviews. We had a great experience here this past week. We made reservations on the Walt Disney App ahead of time. When we got there for our reservation time I was nervous because there were so many people waiting outside. We checked in on the app and were called right in. Maybe some of the people waiting didn't have reservations? The place is a buffet with several options. I loved that there were so many healthy options which is often hard to come by in Disney. While we dined, Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and Pluto came around. My daughter was so happy! It was expensive but worth it to meet the characters without a wait. I finally had an opportunity to eat at Hollywood and vine after years of dying to eat there. We went for a friends birthday, for the sole our purpose of being able to get a photo with the characters in Their Halloween costumes. After about 10 minutes after we were sat we were finally greeted by our server. It took her over 15 minutes to get our drinks, we had kids with us , and I need to take medicine before I ate so I was in need of beverage so we already started our experience annoyed ( you have o wait for your drinks before you can hit the Buffett ) . They had an amazing spread of food. You had a great options for vegan vegetarian pretty much any diet or dietary restrictions you're covered . My personal favorite was the tofu and then the cream Brulé cheesecake ! So they explain that it takes about an hour for all The characters of come around and after about an hour and 15 minutes, we still did not see the star of the show Mickey ( the whole reason we came ) I spotted him across the room and I went to the handler to ask when he would come to our side of the room and she said it would be another 30 minutes now we had one child under one and a two year olds so there was no way they were waiting an extra 30 minutes so I asked if we can sneak a quick selfie with him and they said absolutely not and we're not helpful at all . Price point we are paying 63 dollars for an Adult and over 40 for a child ( who ate 2 bites of macaroni and watermelon) we expected much better service. We had lunch here with Mickey Mouse and friends. Very entertaining as the characters came around and visited with each table. There was ample time to take quick photos with each characters. The food was really good too. My salmon was really moist and delicious. The beef tenderloin was little salty but juicy and flavorful. The risotto was good too and enjoyed the sides it came with. The desserts were the favorite part of the meal. We each had something different so we could share. The crème brûlée was everyone's favorite. It's little pricy and you need to make reservations ahead of time but we'll worth it. Highly recommend especially if you have little kids in your group. read more

This was the most frustrating dining experience I've ever had at a Disney Park/On Property. We booked this solely for the Fantasmic priority seating. Our reservation was for 8, we we figured since it let us book the Fantasmic dining packing for 8 we'd be seated at the 9 o'clock showing. This was not the case, and no one said anything to us until we asked where we go to be seated. They said we didn't have a fantasmic package, but after checking our reservation we indeed did. The waitress was unsympathetic and unhelpful - just told us that we could catch the next showing but they didn't do seating for the second show only the first. This reflects how her service was as well, she seemed to actively avoid us and several times said she would bring us something only to never come with it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were one of the last seatings of the night, so it was practically empty in the restaurant and it wasn't that she was busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was mediocre, and the desserts were a disappointment. Only nice thing to say was the character interactions we're great and they went out of their way to see you and interact. In the end we were disappointed and frustrated, we had parkhopped all the way over here and paid a lot of money, we would have been better off fighting the crowds and getting a quick service meal. read more

Review of the Fantasmic Package Dinner. We wanted to get a Fantasmic Package so we could skip the lines for the show. Know this, you still have to get there 30 minutes early to sit in your reserved section. This was crazy to us, what's the point of having a reserved section if you still have to get there half an hour early? (We have a five-year-old and a two-year-old so sitting that amount of time is difficult). The seats for Fantasmic were incredible, right in the middle and super close to the bottom, but the price tag for them, around $70 adult and $30 for kids will make us pause. I think the answer is once or twice a year we will do this and then skip Fantasmic the rest of the time. Because sadly once you have that great seats, it makes it hard to go back higher up to the side. The good is the food. It's actually surprisingly delicious. I don't expect that at these restaurants. I got pot roast, beef at the carving station (I forget what type, but it was fatty so I liked it), mushroom risotto, etc. There were so many options. Also they had the kids favorites, tater tots (which were hysterically called potato barrels), chicken nuggets, corn dog nuggets, and white rice. For dinner they have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. We were there during a seasonal time, so they were all dressed as vampires. We went for a long time without seeing any and then they came almost back to back. Do not go to the restroom. Each time someone went to the restroom a character came without fail. Make sure your whole family goes before you sit down! Even though we had a reservation, it took thirty minutes before we were seated. Overall I won't choose to eat here on our own, but if friends want to (like what happened this time) we will go. read more
