There's lots of floors and we had to go to the 4th floor. Make sure to bring your ticket to validate parking at one of the stores, we spent our time at Barnes and noble to pick out some things and we validated there. The place was packed on a Sunday, since it's an outdoor area, it was really hot and staying in the stores helped cool us off, especially if they had AC on full blast. Going back to the parking lot was a challenge, since there isn't a parking attendant around, there isn't service you can get help right away. Parking price is expensive if you stay more than 2 hours, I suggest coming for the 2 hours and validate it at a store or if you end up staying longer and reaching full price (max daily), might as well spend the feast of the day there since they already have everything you need for lunch and dinner. FYI, driving out of the 4th floor took some time so if you're in a rush, so is everyone else and some cars go so fast you might not see them in time around sharp turns and yield signs!

There was Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Jim Carrey even stayed hours after he needed to until he had spoken, taken pictures, and signed books for every single person who had waited in line for him. However, after the COVID pandemic they've noticeably stopped coming. Still, The Grove is a nice place to visit because it is so polished and touristy. There's the dancing fountain, free trolley, movie theater, shops and restaurants. Meanwhile, The Farmers Market is right next door, so you can easily walk there as well. It's a good place to kill time. Some stores are a bit on the pricey side, though. The trolley is a bit silly since the ride is so short. It takes longer to wait for the trolley than to just walk from one end of the mall to the other. It is a free novelty, though, so if you have nothing better to do, might as well. Recently, there was a parade and festival at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and I noticed several other people like me walking from there to The Grove since it's only around a 20 minute walk up Fairfax Ave. I think people decided to walk since parking at LACMA is $23 no matter what and we didn't want to pay it again. Parking at The Grove isn't cheap either, but it's easy and convenient since it's a huge multi-story parking garage with digital numbers that tell you how many spots are available on each level. My go to restroom is at the top level of Barnes & Noble, but there's also one at Farmers Market. The views of The Grove from the upper levels of Barnes & Noble are nice. There's also an onsite cafe on that level. Meanwhile, this Barnes & Noble is apparently one of the biggest in the US. Around the holidays, they put up one of the tallest Christmas trees in the US. They hang flying reindeer and a sleigh above the dancing fountain. They also put up a Santa house in the middle of the street where you can take pictures with Santa for a fee. One of the changes I didn't like around the dancing fountain, which is one of the few spots with trees and shade, is that they roped it off so that it became outdoor seating for the restaurants whereas before it was open to anyone. Even though I don't live near here anymore, I still end up visiting every now and then because of nearby festivals. At this point it's so familiar to me that as another reviewer had said "It's an LA staple."

As an open air mall, this style of shopping is inviting and enjoyable. Visiting frequently as a kid, it is a completely different experience. Stores are more high end than I remember. Crowds were exponentially greater! Lines for several stores (including Olive Young) to get in and for Ramen blew my mind. If you want a place to watch the world cup, courtyard is ready and inviting. This area was nice with the high rise century city backdrop. Although it was more crowded than I expected, meeting friends for lunch was great. The restaurant choices are wonderful. We planned to eat at one spot, but due to the wait we changed it up and it was a total hit. Parking was crazy! Lines to go up and down, it took forever to pull in a spot. The prices are expensive too if ya make a day here. Very few places validate.

Westfield Century City came to the rescue as it was about 7 miles away. Cool beans! Parking is plentiful. First hour of parking is free. Additional hours will be charged at the current rates accordingly. We were here for almost 5-6 hours. It went by really fast. It was our first time here so didn't know what to expect. Shortly upon arrival, we figured out it's an outdoor shopping mall with an upscale mix of name brand stores, boutique shops, elevated restaurants, food court with quick bites/snack/drink vendors, and fun entertainment. Overall exterior was well cared for in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. It wasn't super busy nor crowded which is great sometimes because congestion of people traffic may make our dining and shopping experience a bit hard to handle. We got to see the Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Mini Mall Pop Up showcased in the huge courtyard. It brought back some nostalgia. Neat retro activity! We hit the food court first since we were starving. We grabbed a little something from Tosai Sushi, Poukei, AC Barbeque, Fuwa Teriyaki Grill, O'Gusto, and Massis Kabob. A few were good, but not all. Check out my reviews for each one. Thanks! After our lunch, we walked around to look for drinks and desserts. We indulged in a little something from Chamberlian Coffee, Chagee Modern Tea House, Cafe Knotted, Oakberry Acai, Wushiland Boba, K. Although, we did walk into a Pop Mart to satisfy my curiosity. Colorful store with interesting dolls. Didn't buy anything though. We barely scratched the surface at this mall. People come from near and far to see the great Hollywood Boulevard…read more I suspect it disappoints many hoping to see the glimmer of a shining Hollywood street. However, you won't find that here, Hollywood is about creating magic in a warehouse. If you want to tangibly see fancy and richness, go to Beverly Hills. That being said, I LOVE cruising on Hollywood Boulevard and walking it once in awhile. There is so much fun to be had, even if it is a bit more gritty than the rest of town. You will see many of our unhomed while on Hollywood Boulevard. Kindness or if you can't be kind, simply ignoring is best. Don't bother arguing if someone cuts you off, or bumps into you. I saw a cowboy try to do this with one of our unhomed yesterday, it didn't bode well for said cowboy. And if you go to the 7-11, they may be blaring loud opera or classical music to keep people from hanging out outside. But even at the loud volume, it blends in with the hip hop & banda blasted by people selling on the streets. Occasionally, there is a band of unhomed people performing, as well. Last week I saw a person VERY into their puppet rendition of Little Shop of Horrors. Just mind your business as you walk past the security guard outside of the Church of Scientology still hoping random stragglers wander in to learn the wonders of the great Science Fiction author L. Ron Hubbard. Not sure Tom Cruise has the sanity rating he once did though. You'll also see the Hollywood Walk of Fame - stars past and present with sidewalk stars to immortalize their status. Most you won't know if you're a Millennial or younger - I sure don't! But Tupac got his star in front of Amoeba and near him is Dr. Dre! So there you go my fellow Millennial babies. You'll even find a bunch of tourist traps you might enjoy! Ripley's Believe it Or Not, the Wax Museum, old chubby men dressed as Disney characters, see a Disney movie premiere at El Capitan (they are GREAT), shop at the Ovation (they have everything), hope on a tour bus to see homes of the rich & famous, the Hollywood museum, a few weird pop-up instagram photog museum, catch a bunch of celebs on a red carpet at the Chinese Theatre and souvenir shops galore - there's surely something for everyone. I LOVE HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD! I love everything about LA and that includes this beautifully imperfect street full of fascinating humans and interesting spots.

You'll find a Hello Kitty Cafe & Store, Voodoo Donuts, Starbucks, Buca Di Beppo, Pink's Hot Dogs and ALOT more. Add the huge amount of gift shops and specialty shops and you cal spend hours here! My personal favorite spots are the Nintendo Store, Universal Studios gift shops, and the NBA Store. There's soooo much merch and tempting options. Come prepared to spend, yet practice self-control. Lots of the hubs in CityWalk are pricey, don't expect cheap finds, it's a tourist spot after all. Not in the mood for shopping? There's a movie theater smack in the middle of the action. My parents told me it's gotten a little run down as of late, but it's still open for reason. They have large screens and it's a Universal staple. CityWalk is mostly known as the gateway to Universal Studios Hollywood. You can walk right up to the Universal gates once you reach the end of CityWalk. Some people come in and out of the park to have lunch at CityWalk or an end-of-day dinner. I highly recommend both options. Overall, CityWalk is kept clean and the pavement is consistently power washed. Some shops have better service than others, but I've never really had a terrible experience at any of the stores or eateries. My only gripe would be the industrial food court area. It's a little dated. I've also noted construction, I really hope greed doesn't win and we get to keep CityWalk! I've been coming here since I was a kid.

Alas those days are long gone and my grandpa can no longer drive, a bit sad and a bit nostalgic to look back on, I digress. It's a huge mall and I definitely prefer it over going to the Americana across the street (free parking here and such), but again, it's a huge mall that attracts all around, so parking can get quite busy, especially on the weekends, so keep that in mind. I like that there's an attached Target and lots of shopping and dining options. They have all of the franchises that you find at a standard mall and at a higher end mall too, so you get a good mix of both. There's an Apple Store, Beard Papa (not many of these left sadly), Bath and Body Works, Heytea, Hot Topic, Kura, Lacoste, Lush, Marugame Udon, Miniso, Molly Tea, Pop Mart, the Lego Store (I remember visiting this as a child), Uniqlo, Tokyo Life Style, etc. There's a markedly newer and lively part of the mall and when you go to the periphery, there's a strange mini floor on one of the top floors and the crowds start parsing through. It used to be the only mall where we could get some of these franchises and foods or we'd have to travel more into the OC, but now that the Santa Anita mall has almost every business that I would need, going to the Glendale Galleria is a once in awhile treat if we're already in the area.

After that, we all had dinner together at Kura Sushi. After dinner at Kura Sushi, I decided to pick up another kabob to go for my other brother at home. As I was walking back to Kura Sushi with the food, I passed by the restroom area near the food court and a kiosk that appeared to offer eyebrow tattooing services. A Hispanic female janitor was cleaning the area. My mom had called me and was asking me to come back quickly, so I was walking at a very fast pace with the takeout order in my hand. Suddenly, the female janitor jabbed me in the arm and started speaking angrily in Spanish. I couldn't understand a single word she was saying, and I was completely shocked by her behavior. I assume that because I was walking quickly to get back to my mom, I may not have noticed that she had placed a caution sign and was cleaning that section of the floor. Perhaps I accidentally walked through the area she was working on. Even so, I found it completely unacceptable for someone to jab me in the arm like that. To make matters worse, she kept speaking to me in Spanish, which I could not understand. I honestly thought her behavior was very inappropriate. I simply responded, "Please speak English and do not touch me, OK?" My mom was waiting for me and wanted to leave right away, so I didn't have time to continue the conversation and just walked away. However, the more I think about what happened that day, the more upset it makes me. I sincerely hope I never experience something this unpleasant again. Glendale Galleria should do a better job of training its employees on how to interact respectfully with customers.

Stores such as Apple, Aldo, The Gap, Banana Republic, Bed, Bath & Body, Bloomingdale's, Coach, Express, Hollister, Macy's, Vans, and many others. The mall is a good size, very clean, and well-maintained. The food court was extremely clean, comfortable, and somewhat fancy-looking, with plenty of tables, benches, and chairs to sit and relax throughout the mall. Friendly employees can be seen cleaning throughout the mall, assuring that this place is kept as spotless as possible. Free parking is available both in the parking garage adjacent to the mall and in non-garage parking on the east and south sides of the mall.

Today was the second time I…read morewent to the family bathroom and there was a grown man (without a family) in the restroom using it as his private toilet and when he came out he left the bathroom a mess, toilet clogged and all, so the line of children waiting for this jerk couldn't use it. It was truly disgusting. I've complained this time and last time this happened (homeless man in one of the nursing stations). There should be security in the corridor, especially given that it is right next to an outlet to riverside drive. Whenever you enter the 2nd floor parking, there's a strong waft of cooking oil coming from downstairs. The parking gate usually does not recognize your car has been validated so you have to manually stick your ticket in. That also needs to be fixed.
