After asking us what we want, the man at the counter tells us he has no openings. Literally asked both of us what we want and then said they couldn't help us. Didn't offer a wait time, a different day, or anything. Overall a great place to get your nails done. Some techs are definitely better than others. Between my daughter and we've been about a dozen times and there was only one time I wasn't 100% satisfied. This is the only place I go to in the Rockwall area. Great little nail salon tucked away in the harbor. I had Sophia and Holly and they were wonderful. I felt like they really took their time and had great attention to detail. Not to mention their massages both were wonderful. I went ahead and splurged and got the organic wine pedicure but just a regular manicure. It would be a fun place to go for a mother daughter pedicure if you have little ones. They have a tiny hello kitty spa chair so cute!!!! Really close to lots of bars and restaurants and a Great Lake view if you are looking to make a day out of it. I decided to visit this salon despite some of the negative yelp reviews. (I was informed that management has changed in the last year, so I decided to give it a try.) I walked in on a Monday afternoon and for an hour, I was the only customer. It smelled wonderful inside, none of the typical fumes. The atmosphere was great! Quiet spa music and mood lighting. The salon is beautiful, but my nail tech definitely needs more training! My SNS manicure was not done well at all, nor were my toes. My nail beds are uneven and the sns apparently was not applied correctly. When I run my fingers through my hair, strands get stuck under my nail! I have never had this happen! I do not know why so many people wrote negative reviews. I have had many pedicures and manicures here and they always do a great job. The pedicure experience is not the most fantastic one I have ever had, but you get what you pay for. If you want the experience of a 120.00 pedicure then go to a spa and get one. Michelle is my tech and she is funny and takes her time to make sure it's a good job. Very mad about the service we received, This place is terrible unless you get the only guy in there to do your pedicure. My wife and I paid for the most expensive pedicure twice now because the extra time for the massage. This is the second time my wife did not get a good massage for the money. I have to be honest, I HATE leaving negative reviews, especially for small businesses, but I really feel this is important for people to know. I was going to this salon with my friend for YEARS. We loved Shane, Tammy, and Lena. They always did a good job and we would leave without having sat there for hours on end for a dip manicure. Well, I don't know if anyone realizes this, but they're under new management. We went a few weeks ago and my friend had a nail tech and she said "that was the most painful manicure I've ever had." However, her nails looked good so we went back yesterday. Both of us had dip on our nails from the previous visit, and the guy who was doing hers starts to wedge off her like hardened dip with an acrylic tip. She said "ow" and then he did it again, but this time it ripped off the top of her nail... literally rule #1 of what you aren't supposed to do to get a nail off. You're supposed to use acetone... a nail drill... you know? And then he kept trying to do something with her bloody nail... that he just ripped off... even though she asked him not to many times since her finger was incredibly tender... from having her nail ripped off. Then he would randomly pour like stuff on it to dip it and she would be like no, and then he did dip her nail in powder... her bloody nail... in the powder they use for everyone... after she said no. He called over another lady and she was like "why are you so scared" and it's like... well your buddy ripped off her nail and she expressed many times that she just didn't want to do anything with it, but you guys keep pushing her. They talk her into letting the other lady paint basically skin, since the nail was gone, just with regular polish... mind you, bloody nail... same polish that they use communally for everyone... They probably were pushing so hard because it'd look bad for them to have a girl to walk out with a bloody finger. And, finally, to add insult to injury, they gave her a whopping $5 discount and said they'll fix her nail once it heals... as if we will ever come back. I was so disgusted by the unsanitary practices and by the... I don't even know the word...unconventional practices? Torturous practices... You know, ripping someone's nail off is used as a form of torture. Either way, this place needs to go out of business ASAP. I was staying at the Hilton/Dallas hotel next door to this salon and decided to walk in one morning for a mani/pedi. The place is beautiful and they took me right away. They just opened so I was the only one there at the time. I got a shellac mani and deluxe pedi for $74. Everything was great and very relaxing. There are TV's but they are on mute so that you can watch but it won't be too loud or distracting. I told my husband that they offer 60 min massages for $60 . I have wanted a natural look for my nails for a long time. My nails are thin so I have to do a dipping powder or gel. Everywhere I go I ask the nail tech if they could do a natural look for my nails with the powder and they either don't know what I'm trying to say or they say they can't do it. Well, I finally found Lena at Hollywood nails in rockwall who did exactly what I wanted! She didn't try and talk me out of it and convince me to do a color. I work in a lab and wear gloves so I need them short and I want natural. She did a pink and white dipping powder. I live in mesquite but it only takes me 10 minutes to get there. Got a full set, dip from a girl named Kuie pronounced "Q". Felt that this location being on the harbor was over priced for a full set but decided to do it because it was convenient. She was very hospitable and enjoyed the conversation she held with me, however my nails look subpar. Again, I enjoyed her but probably wouldn't go back. My boyfriend got a massage there as well and said it was good but could've been better. He asked her to do it harder and in a certain spot but was ignored twice. read more

Got a set of acrylics put on Friday afternoon. It is Monday now and five of my nails popped off. The acrylic was spread very thin and broke extremely easily. The man that did my nails painted over a hair and then proceeded to pull the hair from under the wet polish. He would set my hand down on the towel and fuzz would get on the wet polish. He kept telling me to be careful or I would ruin my nails... he cut into four of my fingers just beneath my cuticles. I asked him to be a bit more gentle and he was not. He sent me to sit with my nails under the light and just walked right out the front door! I called up to the salon a few minutes ago and the manager was very rude. I've been to this salon twice now, completely unsatisfied both times. The first time I got a pedicure. The lady broke my toenail and didn't say anything to me. This by far was the best pedicure I have had!! I used to go to Platinum nails, but they treat customers as thought they are in a cattle call. Hollywood has brand new chairs. The guy Tom who did my pedicure was amazing, I will now always go to Hollywood! They take credit cards but ask that you dont include tip on the bill. read more
