I needed a pedicure badly. I was way overdue for one. So, I decided to try a new nail place closer to my house. I came across this place that had considerably high reviews. The ambiance of this place is really cute. And the staff appears to be very friendly. My pedicure was very relaxing and I was somewhat falling asleep, which is a good sign. The only quirk is the paint job and shaping of my toe nails. And anyone who has met me know that I'm very particular about the shaping and the paint job on my nails. I asked for my toes to be square and they somewhat are square... some of them are more rounded than others. The nail polish took forever to dry. I thought my toes would be dry by 30minutes but nope. I go to see Sue for manis and pedis and she is incredibly meticulous yet gentle. My nail shape is always perfect after Sue does her magic on them. Everything is clean and sterilized. I can't believe the experience I had at this salon. I live right next door and was so excited to find a new place and I walked out of there feeling so cheated and upset. I called prior to coming and spoke to Kandy- who recently took over the salon. I told her exactly what I wanted done and asked for prices. I wanted their most basic pedicure and a full set of acrylics with regular nail polish. She said it was $30 for the pedicure and $40 for the full set with regular polish. I asked if they had any discounts and she said they were offering 20% off at this time. So I said great and made my appointment for 1pm for my friend and I to get the same things. I show up and she confirmed that it was her that I spoke to and she directed us to sit to get our pedicures. I reiterated that I wanted a regular pedicure. Then made sure to relay the information to the people who were doing the actual pedicures. They acknowledged and said ok. After about three minutes of the start of our pedicure, they handed us each a laminated sheet with different scents on them and told us we had to pick which one we wanted. And we said ok, made our choice and continued on with the service. (Please wait till the end) While I was getting my pedicure, I was talking to my friend about the different colors that I wanted to do on my hands. The people doing our pedicure handed me a basket of sample color wheels of nails that were painted on acrylics for me to choose from. I told them I was doing regular nail polish. They said yes. And then I asked again right after if these were all regular, or if they were gel. They said "no, not gel. Those are regular." So I said ok thank you and spent the rest of the time for my pedicure choosing what colors I wanted since I was trying to match what I saw somewhere online. The guy who did my pedicure brought the colors over to Kandy (the new owner) who was now starting my nails. Again, just to make sure I reiterated exactly what I wanted, as I am aware that at nail salons they always try to up-sell you. I looked at the colors and saw that they were gel bottles and then said this is not what I asked for and made it very clear that I was doing regular nail polish. They tried to convince me that it was only $10 more for gel, and honestly at that point I agreed to it because I had spent so much time choosing the colors already. I knew there was a 20% discount on it and I made my peace with the fact that I was getting gel on my nails even after making is VERYYYYY clear that is not what I wanted. After I was finished, I went to pay and Kandy said my total was $88. I said-"I'm sorry. That can't be right. It was supposed to be $30 pedicure, plus $50 full set with gel, and then 20% off on top- making my total $64. She said no they didn't do the basic pedicure. And I said "I'm sorry?? That's what I asked for, MULTIPLE times. I spoke to YOU on the phone, and then again confirmed when I came in. I then told both people doing our toes what we wanted. That is not ok." And she said "well they already did it so.. " and then just charged me. In addition to the AWFUL feeing I had leaving there and the ridiculous amount of money I spent, this is what my $60 pedicure looked like an hour later.. please see photos attached. If you want your gel nails to chip after 3 days this is the spot! $40 to get chipped nails! All I wanted was one color and during the time I was there, I had to tell her to shape them, cut more evenly and paint the side of my nails. I shouldn't have to tell them this...I mean you work at a nail salon. I got them on a Friday night and by Monday one of them had already chipped and another was starting to. I was annoyed and now I had to go back and get them redone. When I came back, I didn't get the same lady because I didn't remember who it was and she didn't look too happy to fix my nails. She barely fixed my nails, the second time was almost as bad. There's bubbles in my nails and its uneven. It's been a week and a few more have chipped. Don't come here unless you want a bad gel job. I have been going to this nail salon for years and even stuck through it with their new management. I have always had a great experience until yesterday. My son and I went to get pedicures and had made an appointment for mid day. I usually get the $30 pedicure and it is a good deal as it comes with a quick massage and paraffin wax. They talked me into the $10 upgrade and mentioned the massage with that. I thought maybe they didn't offer the massage with the lower package anymore. I upgraded both my son's pedicure as well as mine. The pedicure for my son (no polish) lasted a total of 25 minutes!! My pedicure lasted 30 minutes because I had polish. With that said, it's way over priced for what you get and quite honestly the overall vibe of the place is pretentious and unfriendly. I've been going there on and off for years. It's just missing the bubbly lol!! Side note....I actually saw a group bring their own adult beverages for the pedicure experience!! Didn't know you could do that!! Well here's the downside. Each and every design my daughter asked them to do...they couldn't do! They claimed her nails were too small or they didn't have the right tools. Extremely disappointed in my most recent pedicure experience. Less than a week ago I visited this salon. There wasn't a wait and the pedicure itself was ok. However I paid $92 + 15 tip and as of today all of my chrome gel polished has peeled off. The gel started to lift at the sides ultimately there was more gel off than on. In the past my experience has always been really good but I think that's because Jennifer would apply my gel. I plan on going back tomorrow and requesting the gel be reapplied. We were asked what pedicure service we would like and we were handed a selection list- it was obvious that this list was all upgraded pedicures which we were not interested in. When we asked for the sheet that showed the standard pedicure just to compare the differences between it and the upgrades the associate was not willing to show us, it was clear that they were only interested in up charging. I decided to walk in on a weekday afternoon. They already had two women getting their nails done and two more getting ready for their pedicure. I needed a mani/pedi/eyebrow wax which caused them to do a little debate on whether they had time for me. Luckily, the appointment they were waiting on, did not arrive so I was able to get all of that done in about two hours. All the technicians were very kind and offered me drinks/refills (soda or water). They also had butter cookies at their nail drying station. Their selection of colors, regular and gel, were pretty extensive. I just opted for a regular mani/pedi, so that entailed a paraffin dip and hot towel massage for my hands/forearms and a hot towel massage for my calves and feet. The seats are also pretty relaxing. The technician that waxed my brows was a little pushy on the services she thought I should be getting, but after a few 'no thank yous,' she finally backed off. The front of the salon, where manicures are done is well lit and open, the pedicure stations can be low lit/dimmed for a client's maximum relaxation. Considering I'm really rough on my hands, my manicure is still 98% intact with minimal peeling near the cuticles. I do like how this salon is new and updated, but I'm still more partial to the ladies at Worldgate Nails. Luxury Nails & Spa is a decent salon. They've got nice people and new equipment. Plus, they are still running their grand opening special of 20% off any one of their services. Not including tip, my total was $47. read more

This spa is ok. The experience can be hit or miss. I loved this place on my first visit although they are a little pricey. Subsequent visits have left me feeling that I paid a bit much for the services I received. Quality varies. As an earlier post mentioned, this is NOT the best place to get SNS nails. I do not have confidence that they know how to do them. They use UV light, which of course takes away one of the main benefits of getting SNS in the first place. I don't get my nails done often because I do a pretty good job myself. When I do go, it's really because I need some help cleaning up my cuticles or I'm just lazy. I've visited this place maybe a handful of times over the last 2 years because they've done a decent job (where I normally would rate them 4 stars). I went in for a manicure where I chose a dark color, which can be difficult to paint because any mistake will show - hence why I wanted a professional to do it. The nail salon is very dimly lit inside and at first glance I thought my nails were great; in fact, I tipped 25%....until I got to my car. I've never seen a paint job so bad ever before in my life. I am very particular about my nails so I understand that I can be more critical than most but this was BAD bad. My nails were filed uneven and jagged to the point I have shreds of nail hanging off the end (which causes early chipping and snagging). There are smears and blotches all over each of the nail beds and parts of the nail where paint was missed all together. Why did I give the salon a 3-rating and not a 1-rating: - First, in all fairness to the salon, I did not complain and didn't give them a chance to fix the problem. I was heading out of town shortly after my nail salon visit and did not have the time. - Second, they've always done a fairly good job in the past where I did not take the time to write a good review. (I've had a different technician each time). - Third, the technician was so sweet. She took her time doing the work and I didn't feel rushed out like most nail salon visits. I do; however, question the salon for hiring her. Judging by the quality of work, I'm not sure she's done nails before. I had got my nails done with Jeniffer 4 Years ago when they first opened up. I loved how she did them but I was always the type to just go to anybody. I came back to her today and am in LOVE with how my nails came out. She pays attention to detail & does not rush through things. After being disappointed one too many times by other nail techs, I've come to the conclusion that it's best that I stick to Jeniffer. She is amazing! Will Update: 4/27/18. The service was so bad, I paid too much and the final work was not worth it - I had to leave a review to warn others. First they took me before they were closing (6:45 PM on a Thursday), which I didn't know because they don't post their hours. I even called before I went to the salon and they said they would take me. However, when I got there the pedicurist and manicurist were so resentful with me during the whole service that I felt so uncomfortable the entire time. To be nice, I even asked them to use clear polish so the drying wouldn't take long and still I had the pedicurist rush me out of the salon soon after three minutes of being seated at the dry station. She even lied that my nails were dry only to have my nails get ruined. Had I known I would be paying $47 for a mani/pedi, I would've demanded a full service and spoken to the owner directly. I definitely did not leave a tip. The level of service and the attitude towards customers makes the experience anything but luxurious. Honestly, this place is purely driven by collecting money and has no work integrity in the level of service they deliver. It's sad because the location has so much potential. Note to the owner: If you are going to present yourself as high-end, make sure you 1) place the customer first, not money, 2) train your staff on high-end customer service, 3) set hours of operation to create consistency and reliability, 4) deliver what you promise at the high-end level that your making your customers pay for, and 5) have some integrity! It's really not that difficult to be respectful and considerate towards your clients that are the reason why you have any income in the first place. Do this or don't be in business. read more

Make sure you not only ask the price, but CLARIFY the price. I told them repeatedly that I wanted a basic pedicure, and even was pointing to the price I thought it would (thought it was $27, but she didn't correct me that it was the incorrect price) and they charged me $47 for one of the deluxe packages. It was my first time getting a pedicure there, so I didn't know the norm. The icing on the cake is she told me that I "should have read," when I told her I was under the impression it was $27. I will say the job was nice, but I'm very big on service. They aren't truthful, and they're misleading. I truly feel tricked and that's why I will not be returning.
