Stopped by Holman's and really enjoyed the outdoor patio in the back -- perfect for a sunny day. Inside, the booths and pool tables make it a fun spot to hang out with friends. The wings could have had a bit crispier texture. The happy hour is solid. Overall, a great place to relax, grab a bite, and play a few rounds of pool.

What do you get when you mix great cocktails and neon signs? A fantastic dive bar you keep going back to!!! They've been around since 1933 and that says a lot. They are famous for their Bloody Marys but I didn't try it cuz it's not my thing. But my friends loved it so much they went back later that week. They got you covered from breakfast to dinner, they got happy hour delights and even their own Whiskey club for those interested. So come on down and drink your way through their list of libations!!

I generally despise bars, especially those of the "dive" variety. Holman's, though, has an undeniable "cool" and comforting vibe. It is also far larger than expected, with two main rooms (one bar and one more of a "dining" room, the latter of which is where bands perform). There is also a big outdoor patio area with picnic tables and umbrellas. A very unique standout is the cab of a vintage Semi truck protruding right out from the building (VERY cool!). I came here to see a band play, and had a great time! There were lots of dancers, who tended to block the view of the stage area, but it was really nice to see so many people having so much fun. The band was FANTASTIC, and fellow patrons were extremely friendly (always a plus). Staff is very helpful and friendly, and there are MANY non-alcoholic options. The food is CHEAP, and portion size is big. I got the chicken strips are fries, and they were far better than expected. Parking can be a challenge, as their private lot is on the small side (not a lot of parking spaces), and street parking is tough.

Nice dive bar with decent prices and a cozy outdoor area. We came here late one night as it was one of the only places that was open near where we were staying! The drinks were decent and the place was a bit empty as it was a Sunday night. We didn't get to try the food so no word on that. More people were in the outside area with the heaters. There were a decent amount of tabled out here with a few heaters. We liked the vibe here! It was recommended by a friend who lived close by!

Fascinating spot in PDX. Ended up there with a group of 5. We headed out to the back patio and honestly there was nowhere to sit except a small 4 person table. There were a few singles sitting at larger tables but they showed NO signs of moving. So...we all squished into a 4 top, really four of us did and one person sat on a barrier wall at the end of the table. We ordered a burger, some beers and a bunch of apps. Food was ok, we were there about an hour and no other table opened up nor did anyone offer to move or swap tables.

This place is a classic Portland dive bar. The drinks are cheap and the pretzel was crazy good. They have an awesome patio, with decent coverage on a rainy day. The only thing lacking was the service. I wouldn't say they're rude, just not very friendly, and I felt like a burden when going up to order.

A fun little dive bar which made for a great night in Portland! We were stopping in for a nightcap but wound up sticking around for a long night -- if you're expecting chatty bartenders who can make speciality drinks... this is not the spot. If you're looking for a spot to play arcade games with fun bartenders who make drinks with generous pours... this is most definitely the spot. It's deceptively large on the inside with a nice back patio. I loved the 6-in-1 arcade machine with games ranging from Galagga to Donkey Kong -- I think we easily spent an hour there. They have a pool table which is pay-to-play. It wasn't crazy busy the night we went, but they had on a college football game which drew some fans. I'm glad our post-dinner detour wound up here!

Is there still a Bloody Mary bar? ( I don't think so but partner isn't sure/ they're not answering their phone...)

Is the Bloody Mary bar a per drink thing or do you pay a flat rate for the Bloody Mary bar?

    It is per drink

But sit your ass in the chair, get a PBR and wait. Because, much like the bygone era of cable, when the boob shows up uncensored, late at night, and wrapped seductively in paper and BBQ sauce (don't judge me! You tuned in too!), you weren't thinking of the guy with the extra long butt crack and ill fitting button up. Oh no, my friend, you were thinking about the sauce. The fried chicken hits the spot and the staff is very friendly. It was great seeing 2 people working instead of just 1 person doing everything. My order was affordable too once I closed my tab. Old Portland for the win once again and will continue to support, cheers!
