Loved this place when it first opened. The staff, although completely under trained and somewhat incompetent at least seemed like they were excited that we were there. Just went again the other night and the bar staff ignored me and a friend who were standing in line, helping other patrons at the bar by filling up their waters. What's with a line at a bar anyway? the space doesn't accommodate a line and it's got a large bar that would make getting people drinks much faster. I was really excited to try this bar out. I came to visit Portland this passed weekend, decided to try this place out. We arrived and it looked to be the start of a busy evening. I walked up to the bar to take a look at the menu and the bartender rudely came up to me to tell me I need to get in line. I replied to Inform him that I would be getting in line after I decide what I want to order, I simply just wanted to look at the menu. He smirked and said ok. Once I got in line I waited behind about 8 people. Finally it was mine and my friends turn to order and We were waiting until the bartender called us up to take our order. The same bartender that gave us attitude earlier made us wait, he made us feel as if he refused to serve us. He then gathered his other bartenders and told them something, assumed it was referenced to my group as they still took over ten minutes to serve us. Finally a girl decided to serve us. Her customer service along with all the other employees were very rude. Not friendly at all. With that in mind the whole experience was ruined. I didn't feel welcome nor treated as a customer should be treated. I won't be coming back nor will I refer this bar to anyone else I know. I hope management correct this issue and also make the line for ordering drinks more clear and many people weren't getting in line and still being served while the male bartender scolded us for getting in a long line. The staff is very rude and the prices are obscene. This place claims to be a neighborhood bar but charges downtown prices without the downtown quality. Go literally anywhere else in the neighborhood and find better service at a better price. I asked an employee why it was $7 for a pint of Occidental Kolsh and was told to "Spend your worthless money elsewhere." I still tipped $10 bux on a $43 tab because it wasn't the bartender's fault. read more

Went here today for the first time and really enjoyed it! I tried a couple of cocktails which were great but I'd say that the highlight was the gin fizz that my bf ordered. They let us know that it would take closer to fifteen minutes to properly prepare but if we didn't want to wait we could get it earlier, it just wouldn't have the signature foamy look. We decided to wait and the end result was delightful! Not only was it visually pleasing but the taste was top notch as well. Definitely want to order it for myself next time we visit. We also ordered a pizza from electric pizza in the same building which was great and they let us eat it in the bar. The bartenders were friendly and attentive too. Prices are on the higher end but I think its worth it for the quality cocktails and experience. read more

Came here for a friends welcome back party and I have to say, Ive been by this spot for years and never thought to come in. Was I wrong! I immediately situated and took full advantage of the press for champagne button using it more than I probably should have. Been wanting to try this bar for awhile. The interior is super cute and the drinks were great! The two bartenders were doing a great job, despite the bar being extremely crowded. My only complaint is that they partner with electric pizza company next door for food and they were sold out before 7pm. Ended up having to leave to find something to eat. read more

The drinks are great - looooved them. The atmosphere is cool. The pizza place right next door was yummy, great that we could eat it in the bar while enjoying the cocktails. I would give 5 stars, but bumped to a 3 because the bartenders (with the exception of a nice young woman who started just before we left) were very cold, aloof and dismissive. All the bars in this family have such chill staff. This one, not so much. Being nice to people matters - Portland has a great bar scene so it's reasonably easy to find another spot. Zero customer service sat and waited for 20 minutes while 2 staff members flirted with one another and ignored the customers. My friend forgot her vaccine card so ended moving outside after having to go to the bar for service. No one ever came outside. No point in going back. We love all this groups other locations and super excited they opened up a spot way closer to my neighborhood. I'm impressed with what they've done with a somewhat limited footprint. Felt plenty spacious. We sat outside, and they had a nice covered patio with a fireplace in the middle. Got the Whiskey Old Fashioned and it was excellent. DO NOT waste your time going to this bar. The bartenders are complete assholes. We came for a birthday party and ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate. We asked what the waiter suggested we get and he suggested a bottle and proceeded to say we should get 2 for the size of the group we had. He never disclosed the price of the bottle and totally tried to up charge us in hopes he would get a big tip. When we got our bill, the bottle of champagne he suggested was the most expensive on the menu costing $120 a bottle. This is not the type of establishment that even makes sense to buy this expensive of a bottle at!!! Needless to say, we didn't leave the best tip due to this, and the bartender proceeded to hassle us about the tip we left which is completely rude. We also brought up the champagne issue and were completely dismissed saying it was our fault we didn't ask about the price and "blindly added a second bottle to the tab" in his words. Will never be giving this place business again, which is such a shame because it is a cool spot aside from the staff. read more
