Post-bridge run, I decided to treat myself to a pedicure. I have been to a number of salons in the area and always left feeling underwhelmed. The place a friend recommended was closed on Sundays, so I turned to Yelp and wa-la, ended up at Holy Nails and Spa. Pulling up, this was a cute house-turned-into business setup. I was greeted and helped immediately when I walked in. A man started setting up my chair and directed me to choose from a wall of colors (there are plenty, but it was not overwhelming like some salons). He asked me if I wanted water, soda, red, or white wine. I went with the white and was served in a cute champagne glass. I also appreciated the fact that he handed me menu, which described each pedicure option with pricing, before even starting. The pedicure itself was relaxing, I felt there was enough attention to the scrub, massage, cuticle/shaping, and polish - the standard pedicure was $35. I don't get my nails done often so I went to Holy Nails for two reasons: it's super close to my place and the reviews. I called to make an appointment which was super easy but seemed like they don't mind walk-ins. Was greeted right away and was shown the nail colors to choose from. Had a lot of colors to choose from! Started my pedi right away. The water was nice and the chair was clean. The man who did my pedicure provided me the menu of what pedicure I wanted to choose in which I went with just the classic. He also asked if I wanted my nails trimmed, if I was okay, if I needed anything and really took the time in prepping my toes. The massage was nice as well. During the pedicure they started my SNS manicure which they were really helpful in picking out the color. She asked if that was alright which I was fine with, but sometimes just sitting at the pedicure chair with nothing to do is nice too. After my pedicure was finished, we finished my manicure at the nail station. She asked how I liked them as she continued on, was very polite and friendly. The only con I have with my experience is how fast my nails were painted. I felt like it was a race to get them done that you can see from the pictures that paint ended up on my skin. I know it comes off but I shouldn't have to go home and get the extra off my skin. Also I wish a hand massage with lotion was included in my manicure. Went in this morning for a pedicure. Great selection of colors and the inside is nice. The man who did my pedicure cut my big toe and when it started to bleed, he tried to cover it so I couldn't see it. Nice try but it still hurt! The massage was long but the actual "toe" stuff was non existent. He didn't even trim my cuticles. He got up in the middle and went to the bathroom for like 15 mins. Another girl came out to paint my nails. She spoke no English at all and the tech next to her has to translate what I wanted on my toes. She put my shoes on before painting my nails and got polish on my $100 Birkenstock sandals. I will try one more time maybe but I will try and get the tech my mother in law had, she seemed a lot better! Went in to get new SNS. I was left to soak in remover for a hour to the point my fingers were pruny. I kept asking when someone was going to help me but was told that I had to keep sitting there. The actual SNS did not last even 2 weeks before cracking and chipping. I have learned my lesson and will stay far, far away from this place! Beware. read more

I have really tried to give this place a chance. Today was the last time I will go to this salon. Upon arrival one of the workers rushed me in, sat me down in the pedicure chair and said she would be right back. The mom was attending to three other patrons who were getting pedicures and eventually came over to me and said the other girl was on her way. Apparently she had an errand to run and didn't bother asking me if I could or would wait. I sat in the chair for an hour! The girl finally came back and was very appreciative that I waited but when she asked if I wanted a pedicure AND manicure I said I didn't have time for both, just a pedicure, her demeanor changed and she gave me one of the worst pedicures ever! To make things even worse, some other worker comes out of the back, he had been there the whole time, and started helping other patrons. I understand if someone was on a break but taking a break when there is only one person working and the other one stepped out to run errands and making people wait for over an hour, is bad business. Honestly, the manicures and pedicures I have received in the past were average best and very expensive. Don't waste your time or money. read more

The owner of the Salon, Ana, made us home made spring rolls, egg rolls, fried rice, and other DELICIOUS food. They even had wine and champagne for us to celebrate. Every single staff member was extremely kind and professional. We each got pedicures, in their massage spa chairs, and manicures with the SNS dipping powder. Heather did my pedicure, where she took her time and gave me the most glorious calf massage, then making sure my toes looked perfect. Tye did my manicure, where he gave me a gorgeous French manicure with the SNS dipping powder, which I HIGHLY recommend. Now, two weeks later, my nails still look perfect. Very clean and pretty family-run salon. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in, without an appointment, which was not a problem. I was getting the works: mani, pedi, and eyebrow wax. I was offered something to drink as soon as I sat down, which was very welcomed. Pedi was relaxing, I went with the basic, which included a nice massage. I upgraded my mani to include the sugar-honey scrub and paraffin wax, which really made my dry hands feel baby soft. I went with the powder-dipped mani and I love the way it looks. The worst dip I have ever had. She left dip all over my fingers. My nails looked like they had never touched a nail file. Maybe it was my fault for not clarifying that I wanted my nails to look good and not like a sloppy 4 year old did them?!? I don't know. What I do know is I wasted $50 and 30 minutes of of my day. The WORST nails I've ever had. I got the dip (SNS) and I will NOT be going back. Due to a scheduling issue I had to find another nail place and therefore stumbled on Holy nails but I wish I would've just continued on with grown out nails ready to break vs. what I got there. They are not smooth looking at all. It's a super sloppy job, I have hard dip all over my fingers resulting in 8 of my nails feeling "glued" to my skin. They have scuff marks and look super gritty. My boyfriend said it looks like gloss over sandpaper! They also didn't use any cuticle oil let alone pay attention to the skin around my nails so I have to take care of my own hang nails. They're so bad that it's embarrassing, I'm going to go get them taken off ASAP. Don't waste your money! read more

Kaylie has been understanding and accommodating of my disabilities and does a beautiful job with my hair. She has been doing my hair for several years and I'm proud to also call her a friend! If someone has a negative review of her, they need to just go ahead and find a wig shop because she can and is willing to work with anyone to meet their hair goals.
