    Bowl with Steak and Shrimp
    Marie F.

Like most I saw this place on TikTok and knew I had to try it. Me and best friend made our way there in my lunch. When I try a new place I'm always cautious of what I put on things because I don't know if I will like it. When we walked in we were created and asked if we had been there before. We let the lady know we hadn't. The person was very helpful in explaining everything and how things worked. They do only have about 2 or 3 tables so it isn't a place to really sit down in but the ambiance is good. I ordered a Steak and shrimp bowl with cilantro lime rice, no beans, corn salsa, shredded cheese, and sour cream. I did get a side of Garlic Cilantro Sauce. They also gave me complimentary chips. The steak was kinda bland to me but the shrimp was delicious. Having the steak with the shrimp made the bowl better. The corn salsa is good it just does have onion in it which I'm not a fan of but I deal with. The chips could have use more salt but overall good. The bowls are huge!! I was able to eat off of it for a couple of days. They didn't have any corn for elote so we have to come back for that. The pricing was good for what you get. I have been back and I have tried the Chicken with the shrimp and great as always.

We tried a little bit of everything and wow every single item was packed with bold, unapologetic flavor. The loaded bowl was fresh, filling, and layered perfectly with greens, corn, cheese, guac, and that creamy sauce that ties everything together. Comfort food but make it elevated. The tacos? Crispy, saucy, and spicy in the best way. Each bite had crunch, heat, and serious flavor no skimping here. And the elote... WOW. Creamy, cheesy, generously seasoned, and absolutely indulgent. If you're an elote lover, this alone is worth the visit. Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and everything tastes freshly made. This is the kind of spot you leave thinking about your next order before you've even finished eating. Holy Peno just earned a repeat visit

First time here. Food is fresh, tasty and they don't skimp on the portions. Tried a few canned drinks from the cooler and all three were pretty good. I want to go back to try the juices. The service was friendly and fast. They were pretty busy, but I can see why. Would recommend and will be back if in the area.

I saw a TikTok video and it got me excited about this spot. Nice entrance, exterior decor. The lady who took my order was nice and explained items to me. I ordered the chicken bowl which was delish. Taste way better than Chipotle. The garlic sauce was my choice and it was good. I also ordered the churro which was also tasty and not too sweet. Nice ambience. Good portions too. Clean spot. Will definitely be coming back.

Tried their birria tacos!! And it was delicious! Definitely on my top 3 birria tacos I ever had. They also gave free chips with it. The place doesn't have that many seating options, it's more of a take out place. You can also bring your own chips bags like flamin hot or Doritos and fill it up for 10$. Can't wait to come back here and try other items. The service was fast as well.

I was excited when I saw this being built, as it's a fully halal Mexican restaurant. It's located in a newly built plaza. Holy Peno is located at one end. It's fast food-ish inside, but I don't think it needs to be anything fancy. They have burritos, tacos, bowls, quesadillas, and a signature holy burrito. I ordered a bowl with birria beef for takeout, which came with a side of nachos. The bowl was completely customizable. The beef mixed with pinto beans, rice, grilled onions, and sauces was delicious. The nachos were also very good; nice crunch and a lime salt flavor. I only went in to pick up the order, but service was fine. Pricing is slightly on the higher end (i.e. burritos and bowls start at $15. I want to go back and try the holy burrito, but I would recommend eating that there because I imagine it would get pretty soggy by the time you bring it home.

The first time I went, the food was delicious. The portion was great. The second time I went they didn't have at least seven items. Also their portions got smaller. Also they didn't have containers to serve the food in.

Baba Saj was... fine. I tried the chicken shawarma meal and the steak shawarma bowl, and overall…read morethe flavors were actually pretty good. The meat was well-seasoned and tasted fresh, especially the chicken, which was juicy and nicely spiced. The steak had a solid savory flavor too, though it wasn't anything particularly memorable. That said, the bowl came with a lot of pickled vegetables. Way more than expected. If you like pickled vegetables , that might be a plus, but for me they kind of overwhelmed the rest of the bowl and distracted from the meat. I found myself pushing them aside just to get to the shawarma. Portion sizes were decent and the food felt filling, but nothing really stood out enough to make me crave a return visit. The restaurant provided the food quickly for the delivery which was appreciated.

They do have a drive thru too which is nice and what I did. Don't expect them to be fast tho, it's not actually a fast food spot. I thought the meal was good! My only complaint was that it wasn't as crispy as I wanted, i think both the fried chicken and the wrap being meh in terms of that crispy bite you'd expect. As you can see it is toasted but it was still more chewy than crispy. Otherwise the flavors are decent and for like a $15 meal, it's ok. The portion is good and it does the job.

Listen to me, I've driven by this place so many times and wondered what's really good to eat here…read more Most of the time I was intimidated by the traffic here, and how cramped it can seem - but let me tell you, the food is WORTH IT, man! Just the bowl of lamb broth pre-meal is worth an hour of wait. I DREAM OF THAT BROTH, it was that good. I wanted to seek out the chef, and kiss his/her hands, but I don't have bail money, so I didn't. Their grilled fish was also to die for; booked through perfectly, and juicy, with a bunch of beautifully caramelized seasoning giving it a scrumptious yet delicate flavor. Baba Ghanoush can be had as a main, versus a side, the portion is aplenty, and the flavor is top notch; I prefer my ghanoush more chunky, but this is creamy and satisfying too! Overall, thoroughly satisfied, this is the kind of meal that will have you hating yourself for not getting here sooner! Go try it now..... it's not just about Yemeni Coffee, the food is amazing too!

Yemani Adni tea was good, but unfortunately was pre mixed with sugar - no other choice was possible. Appetizer of a breaded chicken Sandwitch was OK, the hummus left a lot to be desired. Only Lamb Mandi was good. Chicken Biryani was too oily. Could not understand the freshly made dessert of dates, cream and others. Service was with a smile. Staff was accommodating. I will give it another try after they have run the place for a few months and hopefully improved.
