We received the wrong order (completely not our mistake), and for nearly two weeks we've been chasing them nonstop just to get a simple credit. Every time it's a different excuse, a different story, and no resolution. The manager, Dalia, keeps giving assurances but nothing actually gets done. Yesterday we were told the money would be sent via Zelle--something that takes seconds--and yet, still nothing. It's unbelievable that customers have to follow up again and again just to fix their error. There is no accountability and no one reliable to speak to. Definitely not a huge fan of Holy. I have gotten sandwiches here including the shwanitzel which has shwarma, schnitzel, fries, and sauce in it. It tastes like a whole lot of breading and not much meat. It was also greasy. Since I did not like my sandwich last time, I switched to a salad. I got steak Caesar salad. My sister-in-law is a doll. A doll who happened to grow up eating Spaghetti with Ketchup. No doubt you're thinking, 'ewww," as I did when I first heard this. So it was during a recent lunch here with my strictly observant brother, nephews and aforementioned sister-in-law: Anyway, wound up here after our first pick, Posh Tomato, a few blocks away, was inexplicably closed. The um... ambiance, or really, total lack thereof, didn't do much to boost my confidence. But you know what??? The food turned out to be pretty tasty! Was totally into my classic 'Holy Schnitzel' Sandwich on a Baguette, topped with the works, which included hummus, tahini, Israeli salad and hot sauce. Cajun Fries were good too. Sandwiches here run $10.99 and up. Not exactly inexpensive, but I could only finish half and took the rest home. And really, I have had pricier sandwiches in this town that were far less satisfying. So Normally, My experience is good. Food is good, DELIVERY COMES ON TIME, and I GET EVERYTHING I ASK FOR. Not last night. Last night, I ordered food from GrubHub, and They didn't deliver my food at 10:50 like promised. My food came at 12:50, which was 3 Hours after I got my food. On top of that, The diet coke that I ordered was MISSING. Normally I wouldn't care, as the beverage isn't so important, but I waited 3 hours, So I'd expect the order to at least be correct. My wife an I came here a little while ago and we sat down for a quick bite. The sandwiches we had were really good and the service was good, but fast food. Everyone I hear raves about the place, so we had to try it out. Breaded chicken cutlet sandwiches AKA Schnitzel were cooked well and not dry. Came here for dinner takeout. Place is clean, with a bustling of cooks in the back counter. Ordered my sandwiches to go. Wait wasn't too bad, about 15 minutes. Had the Holy Toasty, which is basically a sandwich with the works on toasted hoagie. Tasted okay not too memorable though. Also got the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich; cashier asked if I wanted the Israeli salad as well. HOLY SCHNITZEL! I've been to a lot of places that served food similar to Holy Schnitzel, but none of them were particularly close to me (mostly in Manhattan). I really like HS because it's pretty authentic. When I went, I was probably the only non-Jewish person there, which really enforces the authenticity of the cuisine offered. So how it works is that you step up to the counter, order, and wait for your name to be called. If it's pickup, they'll likely just hand it over to you. Once your name is called, you can just step to the back and pick it up. The entire restaurant is centered on a no-waiter experience, where after you're done; you clean up after yourself and all. We ordered their pepper steak sandwich, which honestly was a little dry and tasteless, but their shwarma platter was golden. I had it with Israeli Salad (although this Israeli salad was not that fresh or nicely chopped), the chicken was amazing. The fries were okay, not too great. Basically - get the shwarma with better sides. Another thing I really like about HS is that they have a lot of options - their menu is loaded with American options (which I'm sure are Kosher as well) like Buffalo wings, burgers, and a massive amount of wraps and sandwiches. read more

Unfortunately they were not as good as the reviews , they have a nice large menu with items such as the "Holy Guacamole Burger" which has guacamole and fried pastrami etc... however the bun was so large that the burger was overwhelmed with it , I would give it a 3 out of 5 . Their "The Holy Toasty" also was advertised as a chicken cutlet breaded - fried with pastrami and fried onions , sounds good huh.... that I would give 1 star , the bun again overwhelmed the chicken but in this sandwich the chicken was very thin and totally overcooked and NOT juicy at all . Waited for almost 2 hours to get my order yesterday. Instead of gaining another customer out of my aunt they lost me, I live maybe 5 mins away and would eat there at least once a month. I ordered a shawarma plate with two sides. Spoke to a guy twice on the phone. Third time I called exasperated and asked for the girl (she usually gets orders right) finally the food showed up 5 mins later. While my food finally got there ( think soggy cold fries).... I was in no mood to call them back and ask for anything. Bottom line: in person they are great never had a prob. Stay away from delivery. It's just not worth it. I might give them another chance. One word: DISGUSTING. I came here to eat with a friend, I ordered the wings and she ordered the Chicken Lil. My wings came out first, as I bit into the wing, it was extremely slimy. I look down and see that the wing is all red and bloody inside. When I say I've never been more grossed out in my life, I genuinely mean it. Fast food can go horribly wrong or the complete opposite of that. I'm still searching for that happy medium, although the first time I tried Holy Schnitzel, I almost thought I had it. With a very large menu of delicious Middle Eastern/American sandwiches, apps, salads your choice might be difficult as everything really does sound wonderful. I've ordered multiple times from them either via delivery or pick up and have not been disappointed. Delivery is always on time or earlier. Their falafel balls are nothing to write home about but the hummus is really good, so is the holy schnitzel sandwich (If I recall the name correct). Their salads are always fresh and tasty, chicken is cooked medium and not made into rubber like some other places I shall not name. This place is perfect for my quick fix of comfort food when it's too late to eat 3 course meals.
