This review is for their regular menu. We've ordered from holy schnitzel several times for delivery, primarily their sandwiches/wraps and salads. The portions are huge, the food is fresh (and left over sandwich/wrap taste amazing warmed up even a few days later, that's how big the sandwiches are). Delivery times vary from super prompt to occasionally taking longer than expected, but it's our go to place for kosher take out when we have company over that keeps kosher. read more

Kosher food is usually bland because it's so limiting of the best ingredients. Nice presentation of food does not look sloppy. Basically make American junk fast food but kosher style . Hummus tastes fresh and made on premises which I like. Falafel could benefit from looking less industrial-made. A solid 2.5-3 stars. read more

The food is very good although pricey so high quality is expected. We were ordering from here on a regular basis and always just tolerated the phone ordering system. They don't pay attention so you are repeating your order so many times and they are talking to staff at the same time. The last few times we called we were put on hold and no one ever picked up again (sometimes this was in the middle of giving an order). They aren't friendly at all. After the last time being put on hold and forgotten we decided that the food just wasn't worth being treated poorly and we don't order from here anymore. read more

The menu is quite interesting. The food is quite good. However there are a few factors that deny one having a pleasant dining experience. First of all there is no table service. Big mistake. You have to go to the register to place your order where you encounter this snippy young man answering the phone and yelling at the cook. Once you've placed and paid for your order it's a crapshoot to find out when it is ready and if it's complete. While you are waiting Mr. Snippy yells out "we're outta this, we're outta that" and you have to start making substitutions. One waiter could easily service the dozen tables and eliminate the ragtag style of operation. The bottom line is you have to work too hard to enjoy what could be a nice dinner. One more thing. The side dishes are ridiculously expensive. $5 for a side of French fries????????????? $5 for a side of coleslaw that was tasteless and who serves coleslaw without the necessary pickle to accompany it. I only know of 2 kosher restaurants on Staten Island and this is one of them. I got the Holy Schnitzel to go and everything was put together perfectly. I was so happy with the pastrami pannanni(sp) I ordered my first visit to Holy Schnitzel, I was 100% sure I'd be happy with my identical order last night. After the 1st bite I went to the desk and asked them to grill the sandwich. The reply I got was that the machine was not working. I couldn't eat my dinner. My tough luck. Management should learn to mention these problems when the food is ordered. Not after the customer complains. Lilibeth's comment of 2 weeks ago regarding accommodating any problem makes no sense to me. Clearly, I was stuck with my dinner. This was my second and final visit. first off, the FOOD here is delicious. So i ordered from here to my office 5 minutes away. This is the day after passover, so they were not opened for the pas week granted. I placed the order at 11:30am for 20$. very simple order. after an hour of waiting, i was told that the order is leaving in 10 minutes, An hour later, i decided to call again, and the person on the phone, with no appology after clearly hearing i was upset about almost 2 and a half hours of waiting. He told me that one of the things i ordered was frozen and they would have to refund me for them, and the shwarma was being cooked and the order should leave within 5 minutes. NO phone call to me to tell me the issue with my order. Maybe they hoped i forgot that they charged my card and not send me any food at all. With no appologies or regret about me waiting for my food forever, it was just delivered at 2:15, and im starving so this is the end of my review. read more

FIrst of all, when calling for a delivery you expect a nice quick service, but no instead you will have to wait an hour and a half for the food. It does not end there, the food comes soggy and cold. the order is wrong because i ask for something and i get the exact opposite. When I call back to tell them that my order is wrong, they say that they feel so bad and all and they tell us they are giving us a store credit. Three store credits later and food still comes disgusting! Then when i walk in to redeem my store credit, what comes out of the cashiers mouth is "Im sorry, Your credit can not be found." So there goes almost $25. Next, is the prices. The prices are so outrageously high that if I were to order from a different restaurant, I can get double the food for only half the price of what this crazy restaurant offers. this place has good food BUT if u do not go over your order and specify what u want you won't get your order I've ordered from this place maybe 25 times and not once was my order straight they either leave out sauces or give u the wrong breads - they also take forever on the phone they put u on hold and when i go pick up my food after 45 minutes its still not ready, just make sure when u go pick up your food you look in the bag and see if anything is missing - worst feeling getting home and taking a bite into the wrong sandwich read more
