I am unsure how to fairly judge this place, as I went with my friend who only eats kosher and she enjoys this place because the kosher food is made under supervision of the rabbi, they post a sign saying what kind of prayer to use, and have a sink for washing hands in the dining area (I came in when dining in was allowed). There is street parking out front, and a few tables crowded together inside. We split a pizza, and I commented how it seemed like frozen pizza to me, which she said on a Saturday night that obviously they couldn't freshly make the dough during the Sabbath. The pizza is quite a bit more expensive than frozen pizza, but she thought it was good for what she expected. So I am splitting the difference for my vote. For me, a nonreligious person, the food wasn't great and was pricey. For her, she enjoyed it because it matches with her diet, so I feel bad docking too many points if it's delivering what it promises. If you eat kosher, the place was really busy with people coming in and out, so it seems popular. It's not going to please everyone though. read more

Customer service has significant pitfalls. The new Credit Card law states that an establishment can offer a discount for cash payments but specifies that all posted prices on menu's, receipts, and all signs should reflect the price charged for Credit Card users, so customers should not have to work out the math. The receipt must clearly state the discount for cash payment is 4%. Furthermore, the wording of the recent law does not allow it to be posted as a 4% convenience charge. The law is to help sellers manage the charges they must pay when accepting credit cards. I can accept that. Great care was taken to ensure it's clarity and it is "to provide a discount for cash payments". Not for stores to charge the Credit card users a fee and voila its legal because you posted the sign. Onto the Customer Service: This business owner is extremely intolerant, when placing a large "special order" my sister had to deal with many obstinate refusals when ordering grab & go lunches for 25 people. We had to ask for additional aluminum and wrap each falafel sandwich as only the the top was partially covered. Placing their stickers on each sandwich to ensure the recipients knew they could trust the kashurat was acceptable was another battle. We had to pour the tehina in cups ourselves as we wanted to allow for a second side of tehina just to ensure satisfied guests. The owner told me that "the sign is posted" so he's allowed to charge more when paid by card. It would have been a more pleasant experience if he had been nice enough to explain the recent changes in the laws instead of making a potentially disgruntled customer. read more

Off the bat let me say the 4 Stars is SOLEY for the sushi. I can't really rate anything else because I only come here for that. The sushi is always really fresh, you get a lot of fish unlike some other places that stuff it with rice. Easily in my top 3 places for sushi, it's just not local for me but I do make the trip from time to time to get some. The restaurant itself is probably around 2/5 stars, not the cleanest and the layout is pretty crowded. Good for a quick bite, or fresh sushi. read more

Went there for pizza because my sons girlfriend is Glatt Kosher. The pizza was absolutely horrid. Very little cheese, very little sauce and the dough seemed like it was pre-cooked and then reheated. This was on 3/7/20. The tables are wobbly and it's a real hole in the wall. Bare basics. A large pie was $19.75. In all honesty, I would've had a better pizza out of the frozen case in ShopRite. The place was busy with takeout. It's a shame that Glatt Kosher could not be better. read more

I was once there, and ordered a potato knish. It's listed for $2.50, but they asked $4.50! (Not kidding!) Today I ordered a plate that was supposed to be $6. (on the online menu it's $4, but on the UPDATED printed menu it's $6). The guy at the counter (younger person, with trimmed beard) was EXTREMELY unpleasant. Outside from the food everything about this place is a turn off. Let's start with no manners. I had my change thrown at me for no reason what so ever. Despite this I Still said thank you and have a good night and the guy looked at me and didn't even respond. What ever happened to the customer comes first? Secondly how do you have no toppings what so ever.??? I understand this is a pizzeria but if you can get artificial meat and chicken I think you can have the simple toppings such as mushrooms and olives. We called up this restaurant on a Saturday night and asked them what time they close, they said 12am. We get there and start eating at 1145. The owner came up to us and told us to leave. We said its only 1145, can we just finish what we ordered? The man grabbed our food off our plates and threw it into the street! The food we paid for was tossed into the dirt. He yelled at us to get out while shouting curses Then threatened us that if we dont leave hes going to lock us in the store. This is my first and last experience. I'm not in there often and was hesitant after reading the previous review. While they did seem a bit disorganized, the young man at the register was pleasant and professional. Personally I find their food middling at best. However, my cousin from West Hempstead loved their pizza! (I think the problem is that because of the size of the community, the local VAAD won't allow another pizzeria. Which is too bad. Without competition there is no reason for them to rise beyond mediocre.) It's an OK establishment. The crew when I was there was friendly enough.
