You could also have other sauces, including a spicy sauce. It was amazing. The meat. Was tender, and it was delicious. The veggies were fresh, and had a great crunch. The basmati rice was tender, aromatic, and delicious. The falafel were tender, and had just a tiny bit of a spice to i them, but not much. And the pita bread was tender and also had a good flavor. Ordered via uber eats and immediately cancelled Because my intended buy one get one @ $20 order rang up as $49.($5 tip included) They were kind enough to tell me through the cancellation step in the app And confirm that my food was NOT prepared. As I had called within 2 mins. However uber charged me $38 for canceling the order On behalf of Naz. Uber refused any assistance. As their system automatically steals your money under the policy that the restaurant 'Accepted ' the order. This is the agreement between the restaurant and uber. I called the restaurant, the next day and asked if they would fill my order for a lower costing meal outside of uber since they were already paid $38 For food they did not provide me. They refused. They chose to steal my money on a technicality. They said only uber can refund me. Clearly uber controls their conscience as well. As a Muslim, that was disappointing to patronize a halal food place and they do not operate under halal principles. Had they prepared my food was a different story, but they assured me they had not. So they lost no ingredients or time. (For the owners- That's theft, that's Haram, akin to riba and the lottery. what's the point of selling halal food If you are willing to rob people on a technicality?) Was heading back to Brooklyn around 8:45 pm or so and we realized that we needed to eat before 10:pm because we all doing internet fasting 16/8 and mannnnn are we glad we tried this new Hala spot !! Super clean, Super friendly and the food was on point !! Their Lamb over rice was so very nice and their home made white sauce & green sauces are on point !!! I added extra meat to my plate and we ordered Fries which we all split !!! Only started ordering from Nazs Halal Food in the past couple of weeks and it's quickly become my favorite Halal place nearby. The lamb Gyro is delicious and tightly packed with plenty of meat and tastes great with every sauce added. Only downside is the meat is cut in tiny pieces so they easily fall out while eating. The lamb over rice is the better option due to this (slightly more expensive but worth the price). The buy-one-get-one free Uber eats deal is gold and applies to both gyros and rice dish. The store is conveniently located in a small strip on Hylan Blvd with other small shops (Fish Noodle House, Josef's barbershop, etc.) with a small parking space (~5 spots directly in front). Told him I liked it saucy. We're from Karachi, so my mom (a super tough critic) likes her flavors. He gave extra sauce on the side, and I didn't even need to add it to the platters. When we walked in the lady at the register was facing the kitchen chatting with another 2 workers where they were both facing us. After we came in (we were the only customers), the 2 workers that were facing us saw us BUT they did not tell the register girl there are customers here. They continue to chat for a good MINUTE until 1 of the guy told the lady there is customer there. She turned around did NOT apologize for ignoring us. There was also no THANK YOU at all. If I were the owner I would definitely fix this. How can you continue to chat when customers walk in and you just completed ignore them. Let them stand there watching the workers continue to chat when they noticed you are there standing ready to order. This is so beyond unprofessional. It is very disrespectful. I just don't understand how can business allow their workers to behave this way and it's okay. Why do these workers even think it's okay to treat their customers this way.
