Food was ok. The rice wasn't authentic. I ordered beef and broccoli there was more vegetables than meat.

Only gave 4 stars because it's cash only. Which is totally fine, I just wish that would have been more apparent on the Yelp page. Technically that is a one star mark for Yelp, though. This place was exactly what I was hoping and expected for a late night Chinese experience in the state of New York: perfection. A very unassuming-almost didn't even see it!-little hole-in-the-strip mall-wall, so it brought everything from the menu all over the wall to the perfectly cooked Szechuan beef, to the egg roll which features seasoned ground pork ,to the spot-on pork fried rice-my personal litmus test for any Chinese restaurant. Best Chinese food in the area. They are friendly. But it's only take out. So you have to be prepared. You can't stay there to eat. I usually have chicken and broccoli or shrimp and broccoli. I love their shrimp eggrolls. My friend had sesame chicken and loved it and also had wonton soup which was good. I had their egg drop soup and loved it. read more

Another average Chinese takeout place. Totally serviceable. I was at the in-laws house and we all wanted something different than hot dogs and hamburgers after July 4th, and this was easy. We had two orders of General Tso's chicken, two of broccoli with garlic sauce, one fried bean curd with garlic sauce, a quart of vegetable lo mein, and roast pork with vegetables. It was all to be ready in "5-10 minutes." What kind of magic... We got a bag full of crab rangoon for free, plus five cans of soda. This was all to feed 8 people, and I think the price came out to $55. Everybody dug in and filled a plate, and I believe, everybody went back for seconds. I should give this place three stars, but the weight of that food, plus all the free stuff, and the small price tag, combined with the mouth-warming pleasure of MSG makes me want to round up to four. read more

This is the hot spot in Dunkirk. We love our Holy Wong. I like the shrimp with curry. But I ask for mushrooms or snow peas instead of onions. I like onions, not that many. We also love the General Tso's chicken, the sesame chicken, the sweet & sour chicken, they have amazing bbq spareribs! read more

VEGAN REVIEW This is delicious, hot, charming Chinese takeout, with little packets of soy and duck sauce and the whole shebang. The fortune cookies were vegan. The Dwarf, Grinch, and I opened ours, ate the cookies, looked at the fortunes, were amused, etc. ... ... until we looked over and saw the Hippie had put the whole cookie in his mouth. And was chewing. After he extracted the fortune, mashed together with what used to be a fortune cookie, the only word he could make out was "loser." Other PROS: - Delicious, hot, generously portioned. - Canned baby corn with a texture that generously suggests its having once been a vegetative item. - Broccoli heaven. SO MUCH broccoli. And enough tofu in the tofu dish we got that you will be okay on yr protein needs. - Some really excellent portraits of a young member of the family on the wall, including a delightful montage of the little one dressed up as a mermaid. - Fast fast fast. - A very short walk from Lake Erie. Perhaps, if you live in Dunkirk, you do not care so much, but I cared. Quite a bit. Such a big lake! CONS: - Cash only, so come prepared, yo. - Nothing we ordered was spicy, despite the enticing red lettering on the menu. read more

It doesn't get any better than the name. This was my friends' (but not my) go-to place for Chinese Take-Out. We even wrote a song about it on a drunken St. Patty's Day Eve. It wasn't my favorite of the...two...places to order from in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area, only because my Pork Lo Mein would always have a puddle of grease and MSG at the bottom of the carton--not appealing. But the price was decent and we felt bad-ass for going to one of the sketchier places of Dunkirk to get our orders. I don't live in Fredonia anymore, but if I did, you can be sure that I would be ordering, with my friends, from Holy Wong. read more

Was expecting 'meh' food since I was just passing through, but I was pleasantly surprised. The General's chicken had a good sauce and the meat quality was pretty good (certainly above average). The egg roll I had was very good, and I generally don't really care about 'em. The pork fried rice was good, too, though they don't put peas or carrots in it. The inside was clean with a few tables. It's not a top notch, eat in 5 star Chinese restaurant, but it IS a dang good take out place with plenty fair pricing. If you're in the area and wanting Chinese food, this is probably the best choice. read more

First time here... It's like a typical Chinese restaurant, but lower scale, if that's possible. The food is always the true test though.... yet to be told... The food was good. Not incredible, but probably a bit above average for a Chinese Restaurant. This restaurant has the best Chinese food in town. Five dollar lunch specials are packed full and are delicious.

Pretty good for Chinese got the General Taos lunch special $5.50. Food came out fast. But the cooks changing out the toilet made me a little uneasy lol. read more

For the area its the best Chinese food around. The price is good and they are always throwing in a free drink or order of crab rangoon. The area is fine I have lived in Dunkirk for 10 years and never has a problem in that area. read more

Well, the other review is kinda dumb.... Most chinese is greasy & loaded with MSG so if you dont want that dont eat chinese. As far as american-chinese food in this area, this is the better of the 3 we have. The food is good, its quick & its priced right. A far as the area, it is not sketchy! Its downtown Dunkirk, well lit, in a plaza with serveral other business along with a Walgreens, CVS & bank a few yards away. If you want sketchy go to a run down area without street light, not on a main road. read more
