We have been watching the teaser pics of Holy Belly in Grover Beach and decided to give it a try this morning. That was a great decision! We got there about 10:30 this morning and were seated promptly. The decor is cute, the staff super friendly and helpful. They answered my questions with a smile and took our orders right away. I had the HolyBelly omelet which was chock full of meats, deliciously caramelized onions and mushrooms. The house potatoes were skin on red potatoes, cooked just right - nice and fluffy inside with crispy outside. My daughter had the Chorizo Benedict which was cooked perfectly. The chorizo hollandaise was a lil spicy for me, but had great flavor. She enjoyed it! My son in law had the Garden Glow omelet. It was generously packed with veggies and his hasbrowns were nice and crispy. I watched another table leave and the staff cleared the table right away, even cleaning the seats and backs of the chairs!! Loved that attention to cleanliness. All in all it was a great meal. A nice, clean place with friendly service. My husband and I had California Eggs Benedict and coffee. The eggs were cooked perfectly with a nice light Benedict sauce. The coffee was fresh and a nice roast. The server did a great job keeping water and coffee topped up. We are grateful to have such a delightful breakfast spot close to us. Well will return. First time coming here and it was a pretty good experience. I came early Mother's Day and alone with my toddler. It wasn't busy and there was plenty of staff to help me out immediately. I was seated asked if I would like a drink and told I could move the chairs around however I may need. I ordered shortly after and waited very shortly. Within 10 minutes I was served a beautiful plate. The food tasted fresh and of high quality. Not to mention price for the quality and quantity. The girls were all nice and very friendly. The restaurant itself was very simple and open. Light music and gold accents throughout the place. Overall I'd say this brunch spot is definitely worth another visit! read more

Servers are nice , but d Rock Cod fish on a rice pilaf is bad . It's not fresh smelling , and they should have known not to serve of start to cook it anymore . It's fishy , stinky just a bad fish of fish. Whoever was d cook last weekend , Saturday has to be reminded of d way u serve food . I didn't complain . My husband's omelet is funny , the onions bell peppers is just wrapped by a scrambled egg . The cook didn't cook d omelet ingredients either the egg !! The cook here is awful . They did a great job with the ambiance. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I got 2 breakfast burritos to go so I don't have a lot to go off of quite yet. The 2 burritos were over $30 which felt a bit pricey. They did come with a nice side of fruit and a salsa. The burritos had bacon, potatoes, onion and bell pepper. They were a nice size and had good flavor and the salsa had a nice amount of spice. The bell pepper and onion could have been cooked more they were pretty crunchy. They could definitely work on their to go packaging to cut down on waste. Each was served in a huge plastic container and then placed in a plastic bag when they could have just been wrapped in foil. But regardless I'm happy to have a promising new spot and will definitely be back to try new items. read more

Hi, the Funny Name caught our eye so we tried it. My blueberry pancakes were good , but my husband was really disappointed in his chorizo omelet, the meat was all dried out and crumbled like it had been sitting in the pan a long time. We went at 11am basically it was not enjoyable although he ate half due to hunger. The $4.99 cup of coffee was so tiny it made him look like Shrek at a tea party and that didn't make him happy either. So the experience has become a little Joke between us. read more

After reading many great reviews I had breakfast at HolyBelly today, and Holy Crap it was good. I got the Huevos Rancheros and they were amazing to say the least. The flavors were great, and they really thought a lot about the composition of the dish. It was definitely not traditional, but was it ever tasty. I cant wait to go back and try something else. They truly elevate the dishes they make, which may not be for everyone. But I sure like what they are doing. read more

AG and five cities is in the middle of a water issue so the only challenge was that I had to eat with plastic but that was totally understandable and in no way hampered me from scarfing down my food. I have now eaten there 7 times since opening, brought friends and we all say GREAT FOOD and great service! The reason for two stars = "could've been better" is when the waitress came to take drink order... I said, "I'll have a water." My wife said, "I'll have a soda water." Waitress said, "We don't have that." We could see the fountain drink station from our table. My wife said, "Really?... those soda fountain stations always have a lever for soda water." Waitress said (snarkily), "We don't have it." So my wife said she'll take a water. After a few mins, we verified the soda fountain had the "Water" and "Soda" levers like they typically do. My wife then showed the waitress and waitress said, "Do you want a glass of it?" Wife didn't anymore, already had the flat water. I don't know if server was lazy, trying to up-sell to a soda or ?
