We discovered HolyBelly while visiting Pismo and absolutely loved it. The huevos rancheros were out of this world. I've had them at plenty of places, and these were honestly some of the best I've ever had. The beans, pico de gallo and chorizo sauce were so good together. I ordered mine with soft corn tortillas instead of crispy ones and scrambled eggs, which I definitely preferred. My husband and I also shared the tiramisu French toast, which was delicious and a HUGE portion, so come hungry! The kids' menu is very generous, maybe even a little too generous if your kids have smaller appetites. My 11-year-old got the $12 pancake meal with eggs and sausage but could really only finish the pancake. We took the eggs and sausage back to the hotel, but honestly they'll probably end up getting thrown out. For my 5-year-old, we just ordered a pancake by itself for about $4, and he only ate about a quarter of that. So if your kids don't eat a lot, I'd definitely recommend ordering the $4 pancake by itself instead of the full kids' breakfast. In hindsight, I would've done that for both of mine. There's a lot better breakfast, places in town, like pennies or honeymoon Café. I got eggs, Benedict with bacon instead of Canadian bacon. The English muffin is all doughy and not toasted. I shouldn't have to ask them to toast an English muffin. That's just common sense. The eggs were very runny and the bacon was mostly fat and not crispy and it was too salty to eat. The hollandaise sauce is very salty as well and to much on top. They are not flexible or accommodating to a customer's requests. They also charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. No thanks. (That's one way to lose business.) The lights are very low and strange. You have to adjust your eyes. Way too dark in there. Parking is not easy. We won't be back. read more

It took more than 30 minutes to get seated and it took 20 minutes to receive food. The steak and eggs were good, they were actually seasoned, but the portion was so small for $24 dollars. The american breakfast was extremely plain, and the bacon was burnt and the eggs were unseasoned. As well, the portion of everything was extremely small. The breakfast burrito was good, and it was a good portion. The eggs benedict was just very plain, and has no flavor. As well, the muffins were not toasted. The chicken sandwich was very plain, the chicken was practically white and only seasoned with pepper. It has slamdown on the name and it was not flavorful at all. My family was really looking forward to eating here and had been studying the menu for weeks. Unfortunately, we won't be back. Pros: Short wait time and a nice server. Cons: The restaurant was VERY loud. It was a Sunday morning so the restaurant was full. Efforts were made to mitigate the noise, but it just wasn't enough. The food was pretty bland and breakfast plates do not include normal offerings like toast. I ordered the breakfast burger. I was expecting a thick homemade beef patty, but it seemed to be a previously frozen patty that was smaller than an In-and-Out burger patty. The description of the burger seemed promising with the jalapeño aioli, but overall it was flavorless. My at-home burger efforts would have been far more satisfying. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with whipped cream and fruit and gave it 2/5. My son ordered the churro pancakes and said that there was "too much going on" with it (2/5). I tasted the pancakes and agreed that there wasn't a winning flavor combination. My husband ordered the western omelette and gave it 2/5. The ham in the omelette was deli sliced ham! When we order an omelette that includes ham from a restaurant we're expecting ham cubes. Lastly, there's an additional charge for using your credit or debit card to pay for your meal. Alright, finally made it in to try this place. Pros- good food, great service, decent prices (for the tourist area). My chili verde omelette was perfect. Cons- long wait times, no parking, eggs Benedict over cooked. No outside seating. Also the floor is not level inside, so certain seats can be very slanted, including the table. Id definitely go back, but I'd probably check the other close by restaurants for quicker seating times. All around easy 4 stars. read more

I went there this morning for breakfast at 8:30. I got the steak with the spicy french fries. I ordered it medium rare, and it was definitely well done. I'm only guessing they did it well done because of the extremely gamey flavor of the steak, suggests that it was past its due date. I hope I don't get sick. I definitely do not recommend this place at all for the food. On top of that there was zero service and the ambience was a hospital cafeteria environment. If you love chilaquiles I recommend you taste them here. This is one of the closest sauces to the one my mom makes at home. I usually always get green but these were very tasty. A little spice and good flavor crispy tortilla chips and a nice side of avocado. My bf got the chorizo Benedict big portion and good flavor. My only complaint overall with both dishes are eggs not fully cooked when I order over medium I can't have the egg white still runny and this was the case with both our eggs. Maybe to some it's not a big deal but it is for us. The service was quick and everyone was friendly. We went early so it was pretty quiet when we arrived but it slowly started to get busy. We recently tried this place in the space of the former Persian restaurant for breakfast. The service was very sweet. The menu is varied. I had my go-to brekkie item, Huevos Rancheros. It was presented beautifully. The tortillas they use are hard. The components of the dish are layered one on top of the other. This makes it a little hard to cut and eat. The sauce appeared house made. It had a hint of smoke, probably from chipotles. It did lack some acid, but some salsa picosa helped. We will definitely return. read more

Out of four people one person thought his meal was excellent and would return. He had the chorizo eggs Benedict.
