Jersey Mike's in Arroyo Grande totally hit the spot! I went with a regular size Original Italian and wow--tons of flavor and spices. Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami, and pepperoni all stacked up on super fresh bread... perfection. They definitely don't skimp on the meat or toppings here. The staff was great too--super quick making the sandwiches and really helpful when my daughter was picking out her turkey sub. Prices are reasonable, and honestly, it's way better than Subway. The selection of Sandwiches includes both "hot" and "cold" Subs on various types of bread w/a variety of accoutrements (veggies and such) that can be included in your personalized variation of the Sub you select from the sandwiches offered on the Menu Board. In general...I have found that Jerseys Mikes (Arroyo Grande location included) gives the customer a generous amount of "meat" (so that you don't feel the need to order "extra", unless you really want to), whereas other Sandwich "chain" Brand Shops do not. The Staff here in Arroyo Grande Jerseys Mikes is ALWAYS friendly and displays the effort to make the Customer feel that they are more than just "a sandwich order". Today's Customer Service KUDOS go out to Kayla, Lilly and of course Josh (on the Grill) for making my repeat visit to Jersey Mike's in AG a fabulous experience...yay guys, way to go...and again thank-you! When we ordered, we were notified that all hot sandwiches would take 20 minutes since they were cooking bacon on the flat top. They were cooking bacon even though they had an overflowing container of bacon on the line. When we I quoted as to why, the girl was super rude and had no viable explanation why they were cooking bacon when they had a full pan of bacon. The sandwiches are great, but the service is awful. We ordered 9 sandwiches the day before for a 10:45 deadline for a staff pickup- all paid separately which is pretty normal. We were scolded by the manager because we didn't do one order paid by one person. That's not a thing when you don't have a corporate card, we are a public school, so there is no such thing. We called multiple times the night before, and no one answered the phone - to explain what was happening the next day. The day of pick up, the manager called nine people to explain that their sandwiches couldn't be ready by the times prescribed by the Jersey Mike's order app. Obviously plenty of time to work on the sandwiches. Instead, we still received our entire order late, and with one missing sandwich. No discounts offered, no apology from rude staff. The customer service at the store was so rude, a dad picking up lunch for the committee l, embarrassing. There are lots of local delis who will be filling our orders from now on. read more

I've gone in and ordered online a few times and each time I'm amazed on how they have such bad customer service, besides the girl who works there. Their Italian subs are really just like you'd get in Jersey including the oil, vinegar and herbs. Fresh sliced meat and cheese and generous with the lettuce and tomato. This location is full of patient employees that deal with an overwhelming number of guests, and online orders, simultaneously. Every staff member in the store is working diligently, and diplomatically handling frustrated patrons. Jersey Mike's is always a great sandwich, but it's nice knowing that the people making it are kind and making the best of a tough situation on a daily basis. If you're impatient or entitled, maybe find somewhere else to eat. Otherwise, enjoy the wait and the friendly staff.
