Came here for lunch on Sunday. We wanted to try this since it was Diner, Drive-ins and Dives. It was very clean and modern inside with plenty of seating. We decided to sit outside. We ordered the California kid burger and a kids burger. Both were okay and average. Buns toasted and meat decently seasoned. Fries were a wedge fries which wasn't our favorite. The ranch was interesting and had a lot of dill in it.

One of the best food joints while visiting Pismo Beach was Brooks Burgers. The staff weren't that friendly, but they were helpful and wiped a dirty table down for us when we asked. The menu has range because you can find your classic burger/diner options, and those with a twist! I really liked that. Plus they let you customize as much as you'd like. The french fries/tots were extra crispy and well seasoned. It was an overall great experience and we hope to return again. What's not to love?

Service was really good and attentive, you order, pay and then find your seat and they will call out your number. Seating is inside and outside. I got the mushroom burger with American cheese, onion rings as my side with ranch. The burger was still pinkish in the middle and really good and tasty. You really didn't need ketchup or anything. The patty, mushroom and cheese just came together nicely. My burger was dripping. Onion rings are soo yummy, I like a good solid onion ring, enough batter and nice crunchy onions. Ranch tasted like it was house made and not from a bottle.

Guy Fieri's signed poster on the wall read "Keep Cookin'" and we are so glad they did! Brooks Burgers is a delicious burger joint. Our family had kids burgers, the California Kid Burger, and the Black and Blue Salad. The tater tots were so crispy and delicious! The salad was amazing! The kids' burgers were lacking (we have 6 & 9 year olds and they said they wished they didn't order the kids burger). We will be back (we'll just skip the kid's menu next time).

Delicious burgers. Tasted fresh, not frozen and well seasoned. Good ranch, but it was disappointing to have to use ketchup packs. Bacon jam burger could have been more bacon-y. We would definitely eat here again.

One of the best burgers I have had in a long time and the steak fries are outstanding! Was passing through Pismo on my way up to the bay area and wanted somewhere to grab a quick and relatively inexpensive lunch that would fill me up - my usual Pismo spots are sit down and more expensive so I wasn't familiar with Brooks Burgers despite countless visits to Pismo. I am so glad Yelp recommended Brooks Burgers bc it was exactly what I was looking for! Just an excellent burger and fries and at reasonable prices. I also loved the variety of drinks including lemonades and iced tea. It isn't common to find steak fries, which are my favorite and they were very well seasoned. The staff were friendly and they were very accommodating when I asked if I could substitute avocado for the bacon that came on the burger, which I really appreciated. Very filling and was glad I had a cooler with ice in the car because I took half of it home for later and it was still very enjoyable reheated. Brooks is now a must stop for me when in Pismo!

Saw raving reviews on Yelp as well as social media and was influenced to stop here for lunch during our trip to Pismo Beach. I opted for the brooks bbq burger, which included applewood bacon, onion rings, caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce. My husband ordered the big sheesh: sandwich on sourdough with braised beef, pepper jack cheese, sautéed bell peppers, and caramelized onions. We split our meals and also shared tater tots and onion rings. The sandwich & burger were both flavorful and definitely filling, as I was only able to finish half of my burger and took a couple bites of the big sheesh. Drinks are self serve via soda fountain; as well was condiments, including jalapeños, pickles and peperoncni. Employees were friendly & service was great. Indoor & outdoor dining available. Downside: small parking lot.

Yes. Just yes!! Smash burger was one of the best I've had. Fries, tater tots and onion rings were perfection. Friendly staff. Plenty of seats inside and a few tables on outdoor patio. Loved reading about the family history of what brought this restaurant dream to life. Wish they had more locations! Tip: get the milkshake!! So good!! We got a chocolate and Oreo and were blown away by how good they were.

Another Triple D spot to try!

I ordered the 1/2lb Supreme as it was the featured burger of the day. Flavor was ok, nothing that wowed me. The fries were seasoned well and were good. They have a condiment bar with pickles and peppers which was great as I added some to my burger. Came on a Saturday before 1pm and took about 15 minutes for my food to come out. Plenty of seating but I had to clean my own table. I will comeback for sure as the price was just right and the menu is extensive.

We came to this location because we wanted to stay and go to the beach. We order our usual. The Brooks burgers and the chicken strips combo. This time at this location the burgers were Missing the spread. Also they didn't ask if we wanted cheese, so we forgot to ask for cheese. So, they didn't taste the same. We are used to the place at SLO they do ask if we wanted cheese and they do add the spread. The burger tasted dry. The fries and tater tots were good. Next time we come we will go back to SLO. Also the water handle at the fountain drink was mixed with starry. We usually don't like too much sweet in our drinks that we mix water with the delicious strawberry lemonade that they have there. But it was ruined with the starry mixed up.

A Triple D Restaurant Well let's start with the most important part which is the food! It was delicious but needed a few tweaks. For example, the Bacon Jam Burger. A 1/3 lb. patty topped with Signature Bacon Jam and melted cheddar cheese, nestled on a fresh-baked bun with crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, caramelized onions, and a slather of Boss Sauce. A perfect blend of sweet and savory in every bite. The jam was delicious but less is more. Jam was sliding out from the back bc of the amount of jam and boss sauce on the burger. The big bird!!! seasoned to perfection!!! Big Bird is featuring chargrilled chicken breast, smoky applewood bacon, creamy avocado, fresh lettuce, tomato, and caramelized onions. Melted cheddar cheese and the signature Boss Sauce on toasted sourdough make this sandwich a flavorful, satisfying choice. The bacon itself can use an upgrade. Bacon seemed like it belonged in a Dennys or McDonald's. It was super thin bacon and you can see right through it. When you advertise smoky applewood bacon-give me a thick slice of bacon and not a flimsy Burger King bacon. The Big Boy was delicious! Double up on flavor with The Big Boy Burger. This mouthwatering favorite features two juicy 1/3 lb. patties, layered with fresh lettuce, ripe tomato, caramelized onions, and our house-made Boss Sauce. Twice the patties, twice the satisfaction definitely worth it!!! Onion Rings were tasty and had a crunchy batter!!! Service was mediocre. The tall guy with black hair taking our order also had to run our food to the table. After he delivered the first half of the food to our large party table, i followed him back to the counter to ask for some condiments and my guess he didn't remember he's delivering the food to our table but he lifted his finger and said "give me a few minutes". I get it, you're in a groove. But, he walked past me went to our table and I followed him back to our table and ordered the condiments sitting down. He was moving so fast I'm sure he didn't recognize me. But, either way-I think remembering peoples faces and who's at the table helps with awareness. He wasn't rude but also, just needs a little more tailored approach. Ambiance itself was okay. Not great not bad, just a burger joint. Overall!!! Definitely will be back to try other items off the menu!

Mushroom Shroom Burger. Tots were fantastic.
    Esther H.

I wanted to give this a 5 star but my shroom burger just didn't do it for me. Tots were fantastic! My hubby's burger was a hit. He loved it. Service was meh ...young kid didn't really interact with us. Ambience was great. We walked 20 min to come try over the freeway even.

Birria Melt with seasoned onion rings
    Ren M.

This place was fire. My girlfriend and I both love burgers and we saw this place and knew we had to roll up to try it. Gf got the California burger and we were both surprised on how well the made the burger. The patty itself was a perfect med rare and everything else in the burger paired well with each other. The California burger comes with guac, so expect that and she loved it. I decided to try their speciality melt (not sure if it's seasonal or limited time) that came with birria meat between 2 sourdough slices. This was surprisingly done well also! The sourdough slices are toasted perfectly and the birria meat was tender. The melt overall was very flavorful and an amazing experience. We also got their fries and onion rings, which were both also very good. Perfect crispyness for both and seasoned well. Place is very clean and gives a very nice small business vibe. The service we got was great and they were friendly. If you're looking for a burger joint in Pismo, this is definitely where you wanna go.

Their menu covers breakfast, burgers, tacos, fish & chips, salads, soups, and hot or cold sandwiches, plus beer and cocktails. We ordered the 'Cuban Sandwich' (hot pulled pork, ham, provolone, mustard, mayo, and pickles on a perfectly toasted, soft French roll) and the 'Turkey Sandwich' (cold). He had tried it before, so this was my first time here. As I looked over the menu everything sounded good and pics of the food helped me make my final choice for lunch. We decided to sit in the patio area since it was nice day, even though there was a little bit of construction noise next door, it didn't take away from hearing the great music selection. Moments later a server brought out the food, everything smelled and looked delicious. He ordered fish N' chips w/upgraded garlic fries, (we love garlic fries!) some of the best garlic fries we've had, every bite was garlicky & dipped in ranch...mmmmm perfect combo. The fish was tender but crispy bites from the batter. I ordered the Pismo wrap (could be shared), I was not expecting it to be so packed with all the fillings. It was stuffed with sliced tri-tip, curly fries, avocado, pepper jack cheese, and bbq sauce. Every bite was so satisfying, flavorful and had a little bit of everything. Some saltiness from the fries to sweetness from the bbq sauce, well balanced (I did add some cholula sauce because I enjoy some spiciness). Definitely added as a stop when doing a day trip to Pismo. I'll be recommending friends/family to make a stop at Hoagies if they're ever in the area and they're looking for a chomp because a bite isn't enough. So after all the shopping/walking, pick up some Hoagies and head to the beach (which is walking distance), because great food deserves a great view!

We both ordered the seafood platter for lunch, and chose the soup as the side (one clam chowder, one chicken tortilla). While the wait staff was very good and the wait time was typical for noontime, once the food arrived, the quality of the meal was quite substandard, especially for this area. I have never had such gristly fish, ever. I had to work hard to cut through it with a typical butter knife. It had no flavor and was unpleasant to chew. There was no flakiness to any of the four pieces. The shrimp was good, but I assume it was frozen. The cocktail sauce and the tartar sauce were both delicious, but it just wasn't enough to mask the texture of the fish. I then tried the chicken tortilla soup since the waiter recommended it. Instead of chicken meat, it has chicken skin. Gross. I will say the clam chowder was very good, and I regretted not ordering it.
