I recently bought a used GMC Sierra from Holz and so far I love the truck. I actually had two problems with the truck that they were very responsive toward and went above and beyond to resolve. I worked with Jay and Tony almost exclusively and they are genuine people who care about having you walk away happy regardless of the circumstances. I'd recommend buying a vehicle here. I spoke with a mechanic there about the problem and he was helpful, informative and very knowledgeable. Bought a used Blazer from Holz (Nov '25). It was over $30000. When I picked it up, the gas tank was almost empty. Had to stop for gas on way home. Vehicle came with 6 month Carbravo warranty. TWO DAYS after the warranty was up, it had a temperature issue. Needed a new coolant sensor. I left emails and voicemails for my salesperson and finance person. No one returned messages. I went to Holz in person few days later. They would not cover the new part. This was $600-$700 job due to where part located. Best they would do was diagnose for free. No thanks!! Once they got the sale, fell off face of earth. What a joke. I am truly disappointed. read more

UPDATE: I should have updated the review 6 months ago but late is better than never. When I did buy the 4Runner, I mainly drove my Dodge until the license plate expired the end of May so I only drove the 4Runner a couple times in April and May. In those two months, the battery was dead and had to pump one tire several times, the third brake light on the top of the tailgate was burnt out, and the rear wiper spring was missing so the wiper was barely even touching the window. All of those issues should have been taken care of before Holz sold the 4Runner. Once I started driving the 4Runner in June, repairs and more repairs. Immediately, needed a new battery, replaced the rear wiper arm, and third brake light assembly. Toyota said the noise from day one was caused from calipers and a tie rod. I paid for maintenance of the brakes and calipers and replaced a tie rod. During the service, Toyota also noticed the shocks/suspension needs to be replaced. I'd like to know if Holz knew about what needed to be repaired/replaced of a vehicle they were selling or if Holz did a terrible job inspecting the vehicle. read more

The noise was the bushing between body and frame that was not there. IT WAS NOT THE RADIATOR MAKING THE NOISE. He was fed up when after all this happened, he got a $10 off coupon in the mail, so asked me what he could do. This is his experience, and as his daughter I'm posting it everywhere so no one else has to deal! From my dad: I took my 2006 Chevy Cobalt in for general service work (brakes, tune up, oil change, winterize) - the car came from North Carolina. All was done but they couldn't remove one spark plug. The car has a nasty 'knocking' noise up front as well, not the suspension, per employee Chris Martin. The hood was also misaligned. They said they couldn't do the car at the service department and it needed to be taken to the body shop. I made an appointment for the body shop the next day, but I noticed when I got home, it was leaking antifreeze. I took it back and was brushed off that they 'couldn't get a drain plug' even though they drained it, and broke it. I then took it to the body shop-the service guy said the body shop would take care of the leak-ok. The body shop looked at the car, and said they have quite a few cars ahead of me. I talked to the manager and they said: 1 month or 2 months - he said it would be done in less than 2 months. 2.5 months later and nothing was done. Manager said there was no leak-but when I took it in for the estimate it leaked all over the clean floor! When I went to get the unfinished car, there was a puddle of anti-freeze under it in the lot. I then called the retired owner-mechanic of OC Automotive. Within one week he took care of the knock, removed and replace the spark plug, and fixed the radiator. I assumed the Holz Chevy Dealer could take care of it but I was wrong. I should have known better when they had my Blazer and it 'slipped off the rack'. Terrible service, terrible customer service, and no updates at all unless I called first. read more

Used car sales manager reached out to me very shortly after I posted this review. He said that he reviewed the camera footage and was able to confirm Jay running that stop sign. He was very pleasant to talk to and I really appreciated the phone call. He didn't try to pressure me into changing my review or try to sell me the car, he just wanted to apologize on Jay's behalf. Still, this was not the best experience but I wouldn't base the entire business on the actions of one of their salespeople. Hopefully they talk to Jay and he understand that this behavior is not acceptable. I'm sure he was just having a bad day and he seemed like a nice guy to begin with but I can't stop thinking about what would have happened if someone pulled out of that service bay. Regardless I appreciated the call and I would return, but I don't think I could bring myself to work with Jay again. read more

Unfortunately I have lost all faith in GM and have since traded my Silverado in for a Ram. I had several issues with my Silverado and the icing on the cake was when my truck had several lights come on. I called Holz to see about getting the truck in for service. I was told bye a young man answering the phone that all the service writers were busy but he would let one of them know of my situation and someone would call me back ASAP. 3 months later I never received a call back. This is just one of several issues I have had with the two local Chevrolet dealers in my area. Never have I been so disappointed in a manufacturer. I bought a 19' High Country here. I liked and wanted to buy it, with one stipulation, they had to get rid of the musty smell. I believe it had been detailed inside and then left with the windows rolled up tight. I was assured they'd get rid of the smell. Wrong! When I came to pick it up I immediately got hit with the smell of mildew. They gave me a kit which I could get at Walmart for 7-8 dollars. Told me if that didn't work to come back. I didn't bother. The front end was out of alignment even though the window sticker said it was good. $900 later for an alignment and two tires... There's a scrape on the under side of the rear fender. Also not disclosed. People have a bad taste in their mouths for used car sales people because of companies like this. read more

Went to holts for an issue with my Silverado. Part of the mirror blew off on the freeway. Was told by a tech that it was covered by my bumper to bumper warranty. Had pictures taken to show no damage or misuse was the cause. He in turn had to talk to the service manager Kevin. What a piece of work this clown was. I call to get an update and clown tells me he needs to see the part, to see if it was defective. I explained that said part was somewhere on the freeway and couldn't be retrieved . Well then we won't cover it I was told. I spend $40,000 plus on a truck to watch it blow apart on the freeway? Thanks clown. I should of stuck with Ford. read more

Just dropped my 2017 corvette with less than 20,000 miles off for a whining noise which was diagnosed as a bad belt tensioner (which is what I told them I thought it was) and they came back with a quote of over 650.00 parts and labor. So I called Heiser Chevy and got a quote for less than 285.00 for THE SAME WORK so I called Holz back and talked to my service advisor again and told him what I found out and then he comes back and quotes me over 150.00 cheaper than his original quote. Both Dealerships are using certified mechanics, use the same book to quote labor costs and make the same hourly rate for labor so why such a discrepancy in labor costs? I asked Chris and he could not answer me. WTF? It was still way over Heiser's quote so needless to say I will NOT be having any service work done at Holz Chevy EVER AGAIN. This is my fourth Corvette I have owned and rest assured I will be going elsewhere for all my repairs, you would think that with the times being as they are in today's day and age (inflation) a service provider would NOT try and rip people off. This review is for their oil change service. I was trying to see if I was going to get my oil change this time around at one of the local "fast" and "convenient" oil change shops or at Holz. I decided to bring my car to Holz because I get my tires rotated as well. So I do what I normally do, search for coupons online before coming out to the shops and I saw they had a package for $49.99 for an oil change and tires rotation included, I thought sweet, a deal. So I decided to bring in my car, knowing that I didn't have an appointment (the next one available was on Tuesday and I was there on Saturday). They said in and out within 45 minutes if you had an appointment so I was given a time a bit longer than that so I was fine with it. As I sat there waiting for my car to be worked on, it seems as car after car came in (it was about noon). Just after an hour being there, my car was ready and I was given a code to have my​ car washed at their local car washing station (price included in the package). If things don't​ change, I'll be bringing my Chevy back to Holz for the oil change since it includes tires rotation which is almost half the price of their competitors. read more

Worse customer experience. Took days to repair, on a brand new vehicle that was purchased the day of problem. I was never contacted with updates unless I contacted them. Racked my new car wrong and dented the rocker panels. Problem consisted of vehicle dying and fuel leaking out of vehicle. Which should have never been the case on a brand new vehicle. Was charged for fuel that leaked out due to a faulty part from factory. Will never recommend going to their dealership and will turn away anyone who I ever hear going there. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change for my C7 Corvette and was told I needed to wait till 9:00am so "my Corvette guy can do it". Arrived on time only to find out their backed up, when I finally got checked in I was told they "had no record" of my appointment but would "squeeze me in" well over TWO hours later I'm FINALLY on my way. Piss poor CS... Holz Body Shop estimated 5 days and $2,600 in damage. They had a two week notice I was bringing my car in and insurance sent them the check in advance for more money (around $4,700). Over 18 days and $4,600+ later I was able to take back my car from these thieves. The car needed no additional work or parts from the estimate. Rich and Todd had every excuse in the book for the time and price discrepancies. I wouldn't trust Rich and his crew to even change my oil. I look forward to watching karma unfold for Rich, Todd, and any other scam artist employed here. read more

This review is for the manager. I have purchased 6 vehicles from this dealership. My most recent purchase, a 2017 Silverado, had a defective jack. When used the first time, the jack failed, blew into pieces and the truck fell on the ground. This is a major safety issue. What if I had been under the truck when it happened?? I requested a new jack from the dealer, and they denied me one. My truck was out of warranty because of the miles. Shouldn't a jack, the first time used, be able to support the weight of the vehicle it came with? Also, what do the amount of miles have to do with the life of a jack. For clarification, the truck is only 28 months old. The jack was clearly defective from the factory. The fact that this dealership would not work with me to replace the jack is pure garbage. I will continue to tell my friends and family never to purchase a chevrolet, especially from this crummy dealership. read more

Always check the work done on your vehicle at this dealership before you leave. I paid to have the brake calipers serviced and cleaned. When the vehicle was returned to me, only 2 of the 4 calipers were done, after inspecting the vehicle upon delivery. I waited 27 min at the dealership that I had not yet left, to talk with a service advisor to share with them the issue regarding the 2 calipers that were still coated with salt. It appeared that they weren't even serviced, as the salt and dirt should have been removed from them to be properly serviced. I I waited an additional 32 minutes for them to remediate these issues. Upon inspection, all of the calipers were cleaned and serviced, the way they should have been done the first time. read more

Worst dealership ever. Have been only getting my car serviced at Holz since that's where I bought it from. Had my friend look into my warranty at a different dealership, just to find out Holz has not been ran any of the $5,000+ in maintenance under my warranty. The service people have just been telling me that nothing is covered. Have been going back and forth with them trying to resolve this issue. They have not been keeping me update on the issues and just keep beating around the bush. I would absolutely never recommend this dealership to anyone - whether it's buying a car or getting it serviced, steer clear! I have had them replace all my gaskets, coolant overflow, radiator, two catalytic converter's, and much more. read more

More than two weeks ago, I made an appointment at Holz for a routine oil change/lube/filter, plus tire rotation, on my Buick Encore. I made the appointment online for today, Thursday, May 28, at 2pm. This afternoon, I drove almost 20 miles to get to Holz -- and arrived at 1:57pm. Already, a line was forming outside the service entrance. While waiting in line, I noticed, at one point, that the line almost stretched out to Forest Home Ave. I was able to get close enough to see into the service entrance. I noticed that -- for a lengthy period of time -- three employees were standing at the east end of the garage, doing nothing but visiting. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I simply drove off -- at least with an understanding of why it costs nearly $60 for the routine services listed above (to help subsidize do-nothing employees apparently discussing last night's episode of "How to Get Away with Murder"). This shop is certainly getting away with something. read more

I need to warn anyone that is contemplating purchasing the used 2001 Yellow Corvette convertible at Holz Motors in Hales Corners, asking $9,990. I had this vehicle thoroughly inspected by the best independent Corvette mechanic in Southeastern Wisconsin. This car has approximately $6,000 in repairs needed in order to insure the car is safe to drive. Holz has not properly disclosed everything wrong with the vehicle. You may be tempted to purchase it given the low asking price, but be aware of what you will need to spend to bring the vehicle up to safe driving standards. read more

IF YOU VALUE your late-model Corvette, AVOID Holz at all cost. My Michelin run-flat tire picked up a small, 1/8th inch diameter self-tapping screw, and I went to Holz for repair or replacement. I asked the service advisor if he knew the "required method" of lifting the 2014-2018 Corvette. He did not, nor did the technician who simply lifted my car by the rear suspension components (double wishbone). Not good. Later, they printed off a copy showing the Chevrolet lift points with special pucks required. Seeing this printout was a first for both employees working on my car. It gets worse (2nd hour). Although they located the screw in the tire tread, they didn't remove it, stating it "couldn't be fixed". Michelin allows repairs of run-flats if the object is in the tread. INSTEAD, they ordered a $412.00 tire, BUT it didn't match the other three. They said my tires were no longer made. They said I should replace all four. My tires had only 2,000 miles on them, and cost $1850 for four. (hour three) I requested that the let me leave to look for another tire. I made some calls, asked for references and had my tire repaired professionally at a tire store with a cold-vulcanized plug from the inside. $26 total. Car lifted properly. It's 3 weeks later...haven't lost one pound of air. I will never go back. read more

Went in for an Oil change on a Saturday. Didn't need to make an appointment. I was able to get assistance right away. $77 for synthetic oil, lube and filter. The wait was approximately 45 minutes - there's a nice waiting room with TVs, magazines and cookies. There were six other people getting service at the time so 45 minutes seems like a reasonable wait time. I'll be returning here for my next oil change. read more

After going a bunch of other places and hating everyone, I felt like the salesman (Jake) at Holz was a breath of fresh air.. gave a decent, fair price immediately without a bunch of b.s. As far as the actual product, Chevy Cruze.. gets the job done. It's like, the smart choice, not the fun choice.
