5 stars to the manager and the clerk on thursday night 4/2/26 who were both more empathetic than the lousy pharmacist at closing time . He gets ZERO stars. I was Having a dental emergency , there isn't a pharmacy in town that is open past 8pm on a thursday night ! Walgreens was my second choice , but the only pharmacist who was even alive at 8:30 pM and the worst part instead of being kind I got a pharmacist who was quite a jerk and when i asked for advice he said "the items you want are in that Isle " ! "i'm not giving you advice I'm not a dentist ! " WTH had happened to the medical field ? A pharmacist used to be someone you could depend on when your doctors office is closed . My regular pharmacy was also closed or I'd have gone there and gotten help . The young store clerk was more helpful and tried her best to be nice and help me , the store manager was nice and didn't rush me out she could hear that i was having an issue while on the phone trying to find help and trying to purchase product for a temporary crown that came off on the night of a holiday weekend . Worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. My doctor already approved my prescription, and I've filled this exact prescription at this location before with no issues. On day one, they told me it was out of stock. Fine. But on day two, they suddenly claimed they needed to "confirm with the doctor." Why wasn't that done on the first day instead of wasting my time? There is absolutely no consistency or accountability here. If this prescription was already filled before, why is it suddenly a problem now? It makes no sense. The staff member I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude, unhelpful, and could barely communicate clearly. Instead of resolving the issue, he dismissively told me to "just change pharmacies," which says everything about their level of professionalism and care. I stopped by this Walgreens to drop off a FedEx package. They allow you to do FedEx drop off at the photo area. I found parking easily since I came in the morning and there was barely any customer here. No one was working at the photo department so I press the assistance button which I think was the best addition here because it will alert the whole store that you need assistance in the photo area. After I dropped off my package, I went to look at the cards aisle since I need a baby shower greeting card but I didn't find one here. The customer service I received here was fine. read more

The wait for the drive through keeps getting worse. The same goes for when you call them.

The reputation I have given to Walgreens Photo is that laughably something is always wrong with the order every single time. This time I got an email confirmation that my order was received. And then I got a text that it was ready for pick up. It even shows that it's ready for pick up on my account. Yet when I go to the store, they can't find it, can't find my account, can't find my order in the system, say I haven't placed an order in 6 months (I literally do 3 orders a month every month) and they can't even print it for me on the spot. So I had to just leave without my pages and no way to print them. Really really really annoying but I'm more annoyed at myself for being surprised since this is SUCH typical Walgreens Photo behavior. Other fun issues: paying extra per copy for my pages to be stapled but they just stapled the entire stack of like 200 sheets all together as one instead of in 28 copies. Why would anyone want that? lol Paying extra ($1/ copy!) for hole punching and they don't do it. I stopped paying extra for binding or extra steps because they cannot handle it ever. Not once. Totally missing pages of several copies or mixed up or double pages. This happened several times and not something you really stand there checking at the store. Guess I need to just bite the bullet and pay more for someone else to do it right. read more

We had 8 prescriptions that our insurance didn't cover and Tricia helped us get them covered for significant less cost through Good RX and the savings plan. Busy pharmacy, those that had issues should give them another chance. Had to drive to this location a few times to pick up medication for my grandparents, not only did I dive there two separate times to get medication which was confirmed to be there any wasn't at all, but the employees have no sense of urgency or efficiency. I've always experienced good customer service here. I've ordered a couple of things from the photo department and have been impressed with the efficiency and quality. The pharmacy takes a long time but they are understaffed and are doing the best they can with the resources they have. Worst pharmacist ever! Tuan or whatever his name is is not only rude but very abrasive. He should have his license revoked. He refused to fill my prescription 2 months in a row even with doctors authorization and under State guidelines. Fine. I dont care about that..I can transfer it to another pharmacy. What I don't appreciate is him screaming at me in whatever language he speaks which is definitely not English. There is something very wrong with him. So this isn't the first time that this has happened to me, but on occasion, they'll send me these codes for a free photo item like an 8 x 10 or a Fridge magnet but they only give me a day or two to use it well yesterday I got one for six free Photo cards and I noticed when I went to order them that they only had cards that were sold in packs of 20 so I noticed the coupons were only for six so I finally found ones that were individual and ordered six but then when I use my code, it didn't discount so I said I'll order it and then I'll explain to them at Walgreens which I've done before so after talking to the person in the photo department and he couldn't figure it out. He mentioned something to do with the app, but I don't get what the app would have to do with it because I've ordered things before and had no issues so then it takes about another 15 minutes waiting for the manager to come and help she couldn't figure out anything herself, she just said I got the folded cards and they weren't supposed to be folded, which is weird to me because aren't all cards folded in the middle. Then she was wanting me to redo the whole order when they didn't even know which ones the code would work on coupon code and I told her listen. I've already been here for over a half an hour dealing with this and I said this is ridiculous. I said are you gonna let me have these for free or not cause you're just wasting my time needless to say it was a waste of time I walked out with nothing. This place is terrible. I have a perscription that has been filled here for the past few years. I regularly consult with my doctor to keep the perscription updated as required. Today I called to see when my refill will be ready, and I spoke to a man who asked me out of the blue if I consulted a psychiatrist recently. I told him that I get my perscription from my primary physician. I was then told that he could not fill it due to some policy that was never made clear to me, and that I could either see a psychiatrist or go to a different pharmacy. I told him that my perscription is due and that it would be inconvenient to go through the process of establishing a new psychiatrist right now. My perscription has been filled there for a few years now, no one from the pharmacy told me that I needed to see a psychiatrist. I had to wait until my perscription was due to be told, and it was just filled last month! It was difficult to understand the man I was speaking to as he had a thick accent, I had to ask him to repeat himself multiple times. He told me the policy was "pretty new" and that was that. A perscription I had filled there for years was suddenly dropped without any warning from someone I've never met, and who has no idea about my health. I hope my doctor can send it to a new pharmacy; this happened on a Friday afternoon around the time my doctor's office closed. With pharmacists and employees like this, I can totally see why Walgreens fell for the Theranos scam. Total incompetence all around at Walgreens, especially at the Simi Valley location. I hope someone there reads this, but they don't seem to care about their low rating. I don't see any company responses here. Do NOT use this pharmacy! One star is too generous for them. EDIT: I was browsing through some other reviews, and others have mentioned the "new policy" excuse. They have been using the same nonsense for quite a few years apparently. I really like the pharmacist here. More than once he has recognized that a doctor ordered a medication for me that I might have had an allergic reaction to. That is invaluable to me. They aren't always the fastest pharmacy but I have tried several pharmacies in the area and am pleased with the level of care at this Walgreens. read more

Actually I spend more time on hold when I call Walgreens and then they'll answer for one second and say Walgreens and then put you back on hold. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have that much time to stay on hold to a little pharmacy they can't be that busy and they don't have any care about the people that are on the phone. I'm never going to Walgreens again. The short story is that I was treated for cancer 10 years ago. As a side effect I now have peripheral neuropathy which requires pain medication. I was with my old pharmacy for about 8 of the 10 years for pain meds. Never really had any problems until they said they were losing money on me somehow, so I switched to Walgreens because they seemed fine with other medications. My doctor is a pain specialist at UCLA. He's very careful about monitoring me, and making sure everything is good. My initial doctor was Director of the Myeloma Center at Cedars-Sinai, who wrote into my permanent records that I would likely be on opiods for the rest of my life. When I first saw my current pain specialist, I was on a very high dose of Fentanyl. He took me from that high dose to the lowest. It's as low as I can go at this point in my life. So the bottom line is that I'm not a drug dealer or an addict. I just need a quality of life. The first fill last month took a week while they "reviewed" my records. Keep in mind that I'm in pain this whole time. Total nightmare. They needed the doctor to write a note as to why I needed it, which is breaking the HIPA law actually. So anyway, it got filled after Walgreens finished their "review". This month I had several issues. The first was that they were sent the prescriptions on a Monday. I called the next day and they said nothing has come in. Contacted my doctor on Tuesday and he sent it again. Keep in mind that every time the doctor sends electronic scripts, he gets an acknowledgement that it was received. I called again and nothing. Finally, the third time they said that they received it. Seems suspicious to me because of the next problem. Once Walgreens received the prescription, they said that they had to order the medicine. Fine. I called the next day and got someone on the phone who can't speak English very well, but they said something about DEA and that they have doctor's that review the requests, it's under review, etc.. He told me about how it should not be long-term medication, you need to be very careful because it can be abused, etc. I got in the car and drove there, because I could never get a straight answer. When I got there I spoke with the head pharmacist. He started giving me the business like the other guy. I asked him if he was my doctor. I said that my doctor is the one who makes the decision about my medication, not you. I asked "what specifically is the problem?". He said that he didn't feel comfortable filling the prescription. I couldn't believe it. I just turned around and walked out. If you have a prescription for anything that fights chronic pain, then this place is not for you. Be prepared for a lecture if you do manage to get it filled. read more

"Pharmacist" with head wrap and lip fillers cannot do her job or be remotely helpful. She'll see you have an item that needs to be checked out and ignore it. She'll ignore any new prescription. She'll ignore emergency prescriptions and tell you to come back tomorrow when it's ready. I ended up getting my medication that would be ready "tomorrow" in less than 20 minutes with my insurance paying for it because the pharmacy dept. SIMPLY didn't want to make a phone call to Adventist Health ER. She's told me "Your insurance doesn't want to cover this." And then all of a sudden "Oh! I just got the order now!" after we told her we just got off the phone with the ER dept saying the pharmacy is supposed to call the healthcare provider first... She seems to be the opposite of helpful. Takes forever to even pick up a prescription. Used to go to this pharmacy to pick up and shop for 6+ years. read more

I will not return to this pharmacy. They used to be good but now a complete disaster. I understand every pharmacy is short staffed and over worked. Welcome to the new world. Most of us are in the same position but that doesn't give you the right to be rude to your customers. At least acknowledge us and explain you're running behind and that you appreciate our patience, rather than avoiding eye contact while we stand at the window forever. I get that there's a labor shortage but I've been sitting in the drive thru for over an hour. There were only two cars in front of me. They'll help a car, wait 20 or so minutes and then help the next car. When you get to the front of the line there is no explanation or apology. Someone could easily explain that they are short handed and they will get to you as soon as possible. Instead, they ignore you. So I sit here at the front of the line, 22 minutes now at the window, and continue to be ignored. Labor shortage or no, there's a better way to do this. I shop at this location. The service is great in my opinion. While they only have a few employees in the store, they've all treated me great. I tend to be patient and not get upset if it takes a little longer to ask for help or to pay for stuff. I come here for toy exclusives and some food items when they go on sale. While I don't generally shop here for medication, their staff is friendly and can answer all your questions. Best to have a membership, so you can take advantage of their deals. The store is clean, and items are stocked. While others have had a negative experience, I've always had a positive one. Maybe I come by at the right time or right day, I don't know. WORST PHARMACY EVER! Having been a CPT in pharmacies during college, I know EXACTLY how long it should take to fill a Rx and they told me it would take 2 hours!!! It would only take me no more than 5-10 minutes to fill a prescription, count the pills, affix the label and auxiliary stickers! Then I get there after the 2 hour long wait time and they STILL HAVENT BOTHERED TO WORK ON IT AT ALL! They are also OVERPRICED!!! Every pharmacy I know of is cheaper!!! DON'T GO!!!!!!! read more

Very disappointed. I bought some snacks and received a email receipt. (Lesson learned, check the receipt in the parking lot) A few days later I looked at my receipt and notice I was charged for three items and only bought two. When I went in to get a refund it was a huge hassle. She looked at the email, she looked to find the product, she seemed very confused. Even a manager couldn't figure it out. Completely average. Staff are like walking zombies and completely ignore you unless you ask them directly. I got a double charge on my card for a item. The machine said approved on my card but the computer froze so they charge me again saying it didn't go through. Haha what do you know? A double charge on my card.
