I saw some negative reviews before hiring CMA, and I wish I had heeded their warning. My bathroom renovation during May 2023 with CMA (flooring, new vanity, pony wall demo, paint) was an incredibly stressful and negative experience. Pros: - Good looking products - Fair pricing Cons: - Zero professionalism - The contractor was unprofessional every step of the process and became argumentative with me when I communicated that I wasn't happy with the progress or outcomes throughout the project. He (and his workers) would not take accountability for poor work. Instead of solutions, I got excuses. - Sloppy, incorrect work - There was paint splatter and debris everywhere, wall refinish is crooked, electrical outlets were installed with cracks/chips and not installed to code, and the workers did not come prepared (without asking, they used my broom, trash bags, paper towels, and my dog's food bowl to empty the toilet water). - Frustrating communication - During the project, there was no communication regarding scheduling changes, adjustments to the project, or next steps unless I personally reached out first (and often wouldn't get any response). I was told repeatedly throughout the project "We'll take care of it," with no actual details, and in the end, I was the one who had to research electrical code and pay someone else to finish the project correctly because CMA doesn't know or care about current electrical code. - Poor scheduling - Workers hardly ever arrived on time or just never showed up. Waiting around all day with no communication and no work completed was incredibly frustrating. The project took more than double the quoted time to finish -- what should have been 2 weeks, turned into over 5 weeks of stress. CMA needs to figure out how to communicate regularly and professionally throughout a multi-step project, hire skilled and professional handymen that will do a renovation job correctly, and learn how to take accountability when the project goes wrong instead of gaslighting and yelling at the customer or shrugging it off with "things go wrong with every project." They turned out great, very professional throughout the process and do easy to work with, but it's the results that speak volumes. We recently bought a new home and the downstairs had mostly hand scraped hardwood and tile, but the two bedrooms had carpet. We didn't want to have any carpet so we decided to get hand scraped hardwood put in the bedrooms. I called CMA and the same day Jordan met us and gave us an estimate. They had design experience they were willing to share and made the process so dang easy! They answered phone calls, returned texts, answered questions and solved problems. BAM! I can't believe people are writing good reviews about this place. They are horrible. We worked with Bader and had to have or floors redone 3 different times. The people he hires to work on floors have no idea what they are doing. They left large gaps between boards, put in warped boards, didn't level the floor, didn't put down lining for moisture. The carpet wasn't glued down and they missed areas of padding. All of the trouble we had and the multiple times they had to come out and fix their mistakes we still will have to get better flooring in the next couple years. I do not like to leave negative reviews, but I feel a responsibility to do so for future clients. We thought this experience would be great, the sales person RJ was very responsive especially in the beginning. Things started taking a turn for the worse when the painters took 2 1/2 months to complete a job that should have taken 2 to 3 weeks at most. They did not use any protective covers and either left paint all over our new floors, new tile, and furniture or ruined things such as our new electrical wires that they coated with drywall. They also left holes and huge seams in our brand new ceiling along with gaps in the drywall, among so many other things. Our completion date was October, then November, then December, then January and we finally just had to move into the unfinished home. Some of the contractors did a great job and the others we obviously not trained to do the job they were hired for. Unfortunately, we had paid everything up front except a small amount for an add on service. They did not care that we were not happy all they wanted was the money due. They came out and did finally hire someone competent to fix our ceiling and the holes in our wall but then they sent out the same team that made the mistakes to "fix" some other items and it was just terrible work. My husband and I are not people who typically complain about things but we spent close to $100,000 and we were really disappointed that the work was done poorly and we were dealt with so poorly. Honestly there is so much more I could list but I am so exhausted by all of this and I just want to be done with it. I hope this keeps someone else from going through the same thing. read more

I initially met with Jordan who was so helpful in finding the exact right flooring to meet our needs! He and Bader brought samples to the house so I could see them in our lighting and with our furniture. Ali came and did measurements himself, sent me some examples and ideas and gave us a competitive quote. He made sure that they could begin work immediately after closing so they could be done on our time frame, and they were! They did great work, kept us informed of every step, and were in constant Contact. We really like the outcome. When we found a little area we wanted them to fix, Ali sent the installers out immediately and made sure it was done to our satisfaction. I am actually really excited that I am the first reviewer for Carpet Mills on Yelp!! I will do a summary review and then expand on my experience with Carpet Mills. Summary: Great experience!! I met Bader when I walked into the location on Beltline. He came out and gave me a bid on almost every part of my remodel (we did an extensive remodel on a new purchase house). He did wood floors throughout our house, and replaced all the baseboards. He did the counter tops in the kitchen, and the glass shower doors. All in all it was a GREAT experience! The price was fair and competitive, and the service and installation was quality work! Detailed: We spent $17,000 with Carpet Mills of America I went into Carpet Mills to get a bid on new wood floors (we were doing a $40,000 remodel of a house we purchased). After a first meeting at the store, we set a meeting at my house. Bader came out to take all of the measurements. I will say, I had 3 other bids on everything he was bidding on, so I knew what the ballpark price should be...I recommend EVERYONE do this anyway!! You should always know what the market rate is for what you want! After about 2 business days, Bader emailed me a full quote. The quote was professional and came completely broken down so I could see what went into the total cost. At that point I could pick and chose what I wanted to do based on my budget! He was very competitive on his pricing, and on 1 item where he was slightly high, he was able to work with the vendor to get a reduced price in order to get that part of the bid (this is where having more than one bid will come in handy for you!) He had no problem working with me! We gave our business to Bader because his price was competitive and we really liked him! My husband is English and suspicious of everyone...out of all the contractors we interviewed, he like Bader the best!! That is truly a compliment! Here is everything Carpet Mills did for us Removed all tile throughout house (it was EVERYWHERE!!) Laid engineered hardwood floors through out the house Laid new baseboards through out the house Fabricated and installed quartz countertops in kitchen Installed glass doors in master shower Needless to say my review is 5 stars because we think the products used, and work done are fantastic!! but above that, I would like to talk about Bader's customer service. He was always polite, respectful, and professional! He was always up front and realistic with me on timelines (we were working with a LOT of different contractors as we gutted almost the whole house!!) His installers were always there when they said they would be there! They showed up on time, worked efficiently until the work was done, and cleaned up when they left! Not one installer left a mess or did a sub-standard job! I was on the job site everyday, and I can tell you that I spoke with Bader everyday that there was work done. If I so much as even mentioned a tiny little thing, it was taken care of the next day - I will clarify....I asked about the thinset that was left behind when the tile was removed, he said he would take care of it ( I didn't think it was a really big deal) by 5pm the next day it was COMPLETELY gone!!! When each aspect was done, it was pristine! However, as there were many other aspects of the remodel going on, a few things got tweaked here and there. So about 2 weeks after the last installer was done, Bader came through for a walk through. We saw a few small things that he believed could be fixed. He had the countertop people call me to schedule a time to come back out. They came out and buffed a few spots as well as resealed the entire countertops...NO CHARGE!! He has also had the floor guy come back out and replace 1 plank that was damaged. Before the floor guys came back out, I called Bader to ask him what the charge would be to replace 3 transitions (they were damaged by either myself or other contractors...I scrapped 2 of them moving out a washer and dryer and in a new washer and dryer...the other was damaged by the carpenter who built my fireplace surround) Bader called me back to tell me that not only would he take care of the removal and installation of the transitions, but he would take care of the material as well!! This means that all of the repairs to the floor (all defects NOT due to the original installation!!) were COMPLETELY covered by Bader...I was VERY appreciative of this customer service accommodation! So to wrap up...I would recommend Carpet Mills of America to ANYONE for ANY of their remodel needs!! Bader becomes your contractor and he does a very good job!!! I will use them again when I want to change the floors in the 2 bathrooms that we did not remodel this time!! read more

I had purchased a fixer upper home and had many things on my project list. I went into CMA for carpet and came out having them do my carpet, refinish my hardwood floors, tiling my 3 bathrooms and getting my kitchen counter tops.
