    2 mucky donuts

Donuts are awesome but the packaging job was a zero. Ask for the box not the bag every-time! We only bought 4 donuts - 2 sour cream & 2 Bavarian cream. The girl packed them on their side across the bottom of the bag. They were wedged in and the chocolate came off both donuts. I even made a comment how to pack and she just looked at me like I was stupid. So $4 down the drain. She could have put 2 sour cream laying flat and then the 2 Bavarian creams on top which would have saved them both. If you are going to put a tip jar on the counter then care a little bit more! We've tipped before but no more. These donuts were mucky/wet and looked unappealing which ruined the experience of eating them.

We bookmarked this place in 2024 and finally had the chance to stop by while in the area. I picked up a French cruller, my favorite, and it did not disappoint. It was moist and airy; I would've loved the option to warm it up for a few seconds in the microwave. The staff was friendly, and there's plenty of free parking since the shop is a standalone building with eye-catching pink signs, you can't miss it!

Locally owned business featuring tasty donuts. My favorite is the custard filled chocolate frosted !

Great coffee and even better donuts! The best deal around. 1dozen of the day old donuts is less than $8.00! They aren't stale like Dunkin' Donuts!!! Great deal! I also recommend the day olds because it forces you to possibly try something you normally wouldn't. There's so many favorites here! I truly love the peanut, German chocolate, blueberry glazed, taffy apple!!! And Angel creams. But honestly they are all awesome! Even better when you get them fresh and still warm! If you haven't they are always there making donuts all day everyday. Ask for a doughnut that's still hot! It's a game changer. This deal makes me and my coworkers happy! Get some coffee from there if you haven't! It really is that good too!

If you happen to be in the area, this is a great place to stop for fresh donuts. I enjoyed the buttermilk donut which was a blast from the past for me- SO nostalgic and SO tasty!

First Timer and this place was definitely open for business. I ordered two donuts and a dozen donut holes. The cinnamon was delicious. I was in town for the day and thought to try something new. I'm glad I did. I shared so much that I gave them all away. The service although quick was pleasant and kind. I'd definitely return but would only indulge in a few bc too much sugar makes me itch.

From Arlington Heights, in Joliet to pick up my daughter from the train station. Decided to stop by, have a donut, and work while I wait for her. The service is friendly and good. Prices are reasonable. The inside seating has the pleasant feel of an old time diner. I ordered the blueberry cake donut and it was quite good. Not as sweet as some other cake donuts I've had, but the blueberry taste is excellent! Overall, this place is worth a try if you're in the area. Highly recommended!

Honey dip, sprinkles , caramel apple, cherry

I tried this place for the first time yesterday. I feel like I made a mistake by not going earlier, because I think some of the better flavors probably sell out quicker. The girl working the counter was super friendly, and made great suggestions. My favorite donut that I tried was probably the cherry flavored one. The last time I had something similar was from Thornton's gas station and I really liked it. I was happy to find it again. The caramel apple was also delicious, it reminded me of an apple pie filing inside. It was not overly sweet either. The honey dip was pretty good. It's very similar to a plain, old-fashioned, just slightly different. I have not tried the sprinkled one yet, but I'm sure it's also good. The donut shop is nice, I believe they are open 24 hours and they are very reasonable. Four donuts only cost me $6.15. Great prices!!

Visited after dinner randomly for a cup of coffee and to study. The atmosphere was great and the employees are friendly. I enjoyed visiting.

    We had to toss them.

We are full-time RVers, and we love to pull into an area and town and find the local favorites! We are from SoCal, we've traveled a bit and we're foodies! We love a good bite, and when it comes to sugar, it's gotta be worth the bite. Here is what worked for us: Cute place on the outside Great and ample parking Easy to find right on Route 66 Service was quick and efficient Lots of payment options There are lots of donuts to pick from. They actually had an apple fritter! Here is what did not work: The donuts . I took a bite of my apple fritter, and the edges had a burnt taste that I still can't get rid of. I tried it closer to the center... it was ok...not worth the sugar hit. I tossed 90% of it. The buttermilk donut tasted like it was stale and day old. I took one bite and threw the rest away The cherry cake donut flavor. Cherry flavor can be a hard one to get right..the flavor of this tasted like cough syrup. When your main business is 'a thing' and that 'thing' isn't done well- well, that is too bad.

He frequently brought up politics, demographics, and "statistics" at work in ways that felt inappropriate and often came across as biased. It wasn't the kind of environment I expected from a workplace. I personally chose not to engage with these conversations because I was there to work, and I try to keep my personal beliefs separate from my workplace. However, being repeatedly exposed to these types of comments from management made the environment feel unprofessional. I also noticed that he would tell us certain employees had quit, but after speaking with those employees, I learned that was not always what happened. This made me feel like there was a lack of honesty and transparency in how situations were handled. One comment that really stuck with me was when he told me and another young female employee that we'd be prettier if we spoke more intelligently and that men would like us more. We are both very young girls, and that comment was incredibly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. I was also told that if I came in early every day, I would receive a $1 raise. I did exactly that, and I received the raise on my final paycheck. Just a few days later, I was fired. It was confusing to be recognized with a raise and then immediately let go without being given a meaningful explanation. I was told I was being fired because I supposedly had an attitude with a customer. When I asked what had happened, I wasn't given a clear explanation and was simply told they had decided not to continue my employment. I work hard, take my jobs seriously, and I rarely leave negative reviews because I know everyone is trying their best. I didn't contact them afterward because I felt I had already been treated disrespectfully. After the way I was spoken to and the lack of honest communication, I didn't feel another conversation would have changed anything. As a customer, I also found the food to be average, especially for the price. Before I even worked here, my mom and I had cheesecake from the café on a few different occasions, and every time it had a noticeable freezer-burn taste. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Based on my experience as both an employee and a customer, I would encourage people to support another family-owned café instead.

Turns out, that everyone had the same idea, since the shop was closed Monday and Tuesday and that Wednesday was the first day back. I couldn't make it in time for opening, but about 90 minutes in; such a line!! I waited outside for 45 minutes, braving the cold winds as CDC guidelines only allow one guest in the tiny shop at a time. People were coming out with bags and bags of Hot Chocolate Bombs. When I made it into the store, that was obviously the main draw, although I did manage to take a couple cupcakes home, too. I scored two mint and two regular, both were filled with marshmallows. As I now was crazy intrigued at this entire fad, it definitely became the excitement of this more mundane holiday season. They were delicious (as were the cupcakes). Pro tip: follow the Cupcakery on Facebook. You'll not only know when there will be HCBs but also how many so you know how early to arrive to score some. They'll be making them as long as it remains cold out! Definitely worth the wait.
