I'd been eyeing this restaurant for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally went. The drink menu had tons of great options--all of them looked amazing. I went with my go-to, the traditional mango smoothie with boba, and it was perfect. I also tried the recommended Galaxy Lemonade, which was refreshing. As for the food, both dishes hit the spot. The beef bulgogi was flavorful, and the spicy chicken buldak had a nice kick that built up gradually, it got spicier the more I ate. I'm not sure if you can request spice levels. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They helped me choose a drink. The space was clean, including the bathrooms, and most of the restaurant was accessible. This place gives you a huge amount of food ! I ordered 4 dinner plates and drove there with my daughter, as she loves Korean food and has it often at college. Not much in this area, but decided to give it a try. Ordered the Spicy Jayuk pork plate for my son. He enjoyed it. Wife had the Soy garlic chicken plate which she liked. I had the Bulgolgi beef platter which I liked . Did not get the brown rice I ordered( was given white) , also found the beef to be a bit on the dry side. Daughter ordered the Galbi beef shortrib plate which she powered down quickly. The next day she finished leftovers from my wife's garlic chicken. So that should tell you about the quality of food here. Sides were interesting. Kimchi was good as was the korean slaw. Pickled radishes were good too. Not sure what my family had for sides. When we walked in we were the only customers picking up. Restaurant was empty but the owners appeared to filling other carryout orders. Service was pleasant as husband and wife owners both had masks and gloves on. The wife was cleaning counters, while he was boxing other orders. Very friendly people. Price for 4 dinners was high, about $45 but inline with the tons of food they give you. If you Korean, this is a place to try! The bulgogi is tender and delicious. We're used to getting authentic homemade Korean food, so we're familiar with the cuisine and this is legitimately great Korean food. We liked that they offer different sauces so you can pick something mild and flavorful or a spicy sauce depending on your preference. The only thing that was different than we're used to was the strawberry bubble tea which was more like a smoothie, but they use real strawberries so the flavor is great. The employees were so kind and checked on us to make sure everything was up to par and they could not have been sweeter human beings. My daughter discovered this fabulous restaurant on Yelp and we were so intrigued. We came her for lunch on Saturday and ate our brains out, everything I put in my mouth was delicious. I am planning a return trip because the bugolgi rice bowl was the best rice bowl I have ever consumed. It was so flavorful with a variety of textures. I also ate one wing which I enjoyed but I would probably not order again. I am not really a wing gal. I couldn't decide between the homemade lemonade and the organic ginger lemon hot tea, so I had both. I am really glad I did. I would order both again, they were that good. Run don't walk to this delicious surprise in downtown Joliet. Ate here with my family tonight and it was fabulous. All the flavors were fresh and bright and Rich. Several of us had the bulgogi. The vegetables on top we're crunchy and flavorful. The bulgogi was Tangy and tender with a delicious marinade. We had a side of kimchi that was just the right amount of spicy. I had the spicy chicken platter with more kimchi and pickled radishes. Radishes were so good. The chicken was in a sweet and spicy sauce and was an ample portion. It was served in a cute bento box. Absolutely delicious!!! I ordered the Galbi beef short rib. Very very good. Came with a soft fresh bun and being the boring person I am two steamed rice. I also had the fried whole wings. The breading was light and airy and the bbq sauce was pretty decent. A little on the sweets side but then again this is Korean. Very good. Would definitely come back. K Ribs does an excellent job with a relatively simple menu. We stopped in for dinner, and sampled quite a few things - kalbi, bulgogi, chicken wings, kimchi, and Korean slaw... Everything was delicious and the gochujang sauce added a nice spice! I'm honestly perplexed. I want to interview the people who gave 5 stars and "best evar!1" reviews to see what other things in life wow them. I've eaten here twice now and both times was extremely underwhelming. I went in and ordered the ribs over the weekend and got nervous when the boy behind the counter replied "just a couple of minutes". I was like... seriously? A whole slab of ribs and french fries is only going to take a couple of minutes? So nothing is fresh, got it. I got home with tough ribs that were barely warm and half-covered in bbq sauce (some parts were dry) and fries that were incredibly underwhelming. I had to preheat my convection oven and bake my food for 15 minutes on 450 degrees just to have a hot dinner. Okay. The time before that I had ordered the Bulgogi. It was also tough in texture and consistency (strange since they claim it's ribeye which is the most tender, juicy, flavourful piece of beef) .... and packed with flavour. Like, I love spice and flavour but give me a break. You might as well dump a TON of salt and other spices into a sauce and make me drink that. That's what the food was like. Who knows what meat was actually under ALL that spice, what's sad is you could never tell because they killed the meat all over again. So yeah, I don't understand all the positive reviews. Then again, I'm from a big city where there are lots of middle eastern and mexican and asian restaurants and lots of great food, so when I move to a small town like Joliet and see "wow this is great!" on restaurants with mediocre or bad food I'm like, oh, I guess it makes sense at least somewhat. What have you got to compare it to? Fast food chains? Meh. Will not return. Not ever. Would not recommend. read more

Found an awesome new restaurant. The beef which was recommended was incredible their homemade coleslaw is delicious as is there Korean coleslaw little sweet little hot perfect.
