Biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes.

My wife and I were in town for a wedding, and after a great night with friends and family, we decided to give Homegrown a go for breakfast. It's a nice, clean, country-esque little space on Jordan Creek Parkway. They have an attractive menu featuring locally sourced meats and other products. I had the salsa Verde pork with eggs, and my wife had the biscuits and gravy. The salsa verde pork and eggs was delicious. The pork was tender, had a wonderful flavor with hints of tomatillo and lime with a lot of green chili and tomatillo salsa over the top of nicely cooked homemade fried potatoes. My two eggs over medium were on top with pico de gallo. My only knock would've been my eggs were more over done than over medium, but we're splitting hairs at that point. My wife's biscuit and gravy featured a lovely fluffy biscuit with an ample helping of sausage gravy with eggs and some of the same nice fried potatoes. I had a coffee which was fine. My wife had a specialty coffee called the Honeybee which she said was delicious. The servers were polite and attentive, and everything came out in a very reasonable timeframe. I would definitely recommend anyone in the Jordan Creek area. Who's looking for a breakfast spot to give Homegrown a go!

This was a disappointing visit because I loved the HomeGrown location in Omaha. The restaurant itself is very nice and cute, perfect sunny brunch decor and a patio out front with bags to play while you wait! The waitlist option worked well and once we checked in upfront we didn't have to wait any more. The bummer was the food itself. Our eggs were all rubbery, the pancakes were not sweet or flavorful and the syrup also had no flavor. My father in law enjoyed the biscuits and gravy though, and it had a lot of visitors so it is clearly popular!

While the food was delicious, the wait was disappointing. I understand that long wait times are typical for Saturday brunch, but we used the restaurant's "join the waitlist" feature on their website and ended up waiting nearly three hours. Since our place in line continued to move up online, we assumed everything was fine and that it was just especially busy but when we checked with the hostess, she said that you still need to check in upon arrival to officially be added to the list which we hadn't experienced during previous visits. Just a heads-up if you plan to use that feature. Overall, the food was great, but not necessarily worth the wait.

Homegrown is always local using farm table practices so I look for it when I travel This particular restaurant is firing and all cylinders super clean very efficient Ask for Shelby she is awesome great attitude great service and she's trying to buy a car for her father so please tip her generously My meal was so perfectly done. I had to speak to the area manager who happen to be in the building. A side of veggies substituted for my potato and chef nailed it The bacon cooked to perfection I asked be crispy... Nail nailed it English muffin cooked on the hot griddle as it should be toasted the perfection and of course the omelette was delicious This is a five star experience. It doesn't have all the foo foo, but what it has it does to perfection.

I started with their bee hive coffee (iced) and it was sweet but good! I ordered avocado toast and added a side of bacon which I was really glad I did! The bacon was well done which is exactly how I like it. I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out just right! The "toast" part of my avocado toast was different. I wasn't expecting the "brick" of bread. It was tasty - a little difficult to cut through with my butter knife. I did like the seasonings on my avocado. Our waitress was nice and the inside of this place is super cute. I'd love to visit again and try more items off the menu since they also had sandwiches and other things I would've wanted to try too!

Food was all delicious. Would highly recommend the coffee cake as an appetizer. Sapphire was an amazing waitress. Bubbly personality and she made brunch all the more an enjoyable experience.

Homegrown is always my favorite "go to" breakfast spot in Des Moines. The service is always impecible and I absolutely love the vibe of kindness and inclusivity. ...and as a bonus I get my Cheesy Grits!

There truly are some real options for early breakfast and brunch in West Des Moines --- Home Grown offers up creative entrees. As you have your early social gatherings in the large people friendly atmosphere with well spaced comfortable seating a friendly wait staffer will appear to take your drinks then your order. Kelly was my wait staffer who was highly energetic and happy to put in my order of " Eggs Benedict and Cheesy Grits." The order was ready within a reasonable time. My healthy juice of blended carrots, pineapples, spinach and ginger was delightful. My only minor criticism was that my food temperature could have been a little hotter -- it was just warm. Other than that the reasonable prices, professional staff and the upscale decor was truly relaxing as I leisurely sampled my eye pleasing dish.

We had a great visit. It is a pretty popular spot so I would recommend getting on their online waitlist ahead of time. It was quite busy when we came but the service and food quality was still spectacular. The restaurant itself if well decorated, bright, and not too loud. We ordered one of the original Pop'd Heart which was 10/10; warm, buttery, and full of sweet brown sugar flavor. We split it 4 ways which was perfect due to its richness. For our mains, we ordered the seasonal Limoncello French Toast which came with a side of eggs and meat. The French toast itself was very flavorful and rich. The serving appears quite small but it's the perfect serving size. Eggs were fine and the bacon was crispy and delicious. We also ordered Chicken Salad Sammie which came with a pickle and heaping serving of chips. The sandwich was perfect with plentiful flavor.

If you're looking for fresh delicious comfort food, this is the spot! There may be a little bit of a wait because it's a popular spot for locals. The interior is open and bright with comfortable seating. The staff are attentive and friendly! We had a great server and bar support April and Corey who took great care of us. Now to the reason for the visit, the food was soooo good! One item you have to try is their fresh homemade pop tart! We had the brown sugar one and key lime. Both deliciously sweet! I'm not usually a big fan of Key Lime but this was delish! The cinnamon coffee cake was fluffy and moist and comes with a sauce on the side that made it over the top! My main was the Friends with Benedict turkey avocado with home fry potatoes. I asked for the hollandaise on the side, I don't like my benes drowned, and that was perfect! In addition to the delicious meal were the refreshing morning cocktails! All around a great place to socialize and have a good time with some great drinks and comforting and filling food. Worth the wait!

Terrible service. You're asked to join a yelp waitlist for a table and then check in with the hostess when you arrive. My party of 2 was quoted a 20 minute wait time. Me were sat 95 minutes later... it's not their fault, but the restaurant is severely understaffed. We watched at one point 8 tables were not bussed and people ahead of us could be seated if they were cleaned. As far as the food is concerned, we were sat by 1:00 pm so we ordered the breakfast margarita. We really enjoyed this! I ordered the salsa verde pork & eggs. I chose poached eggs and was happy with my dish. My boyfriend ordered the "gimme the meats" omelette. If we were to go back, we'd skip the omelette. Overall, incredibly busy place and nice staff, but anticipate a long long wait time if you go there on a Sunday. Maybe even join the waitlist, check in, and go shopping nearby until your table is ready

Very clean atmosphere, coffee is on point, service was punctual and welcoming. The turkey avocado was to die for. This is a healthy place for breakfast. Highly recommend it.

We were just here a few weeks ago and I am so bummed to see they permanently closed!! We came during lunch and took advantage of their weekday lunch combo (Tues-Fri, 11am-2pm), which includes soup and a half grilled cheese. You can choose from the OG, Kick in the Cheese, or Fancy grilled cheese, plus either tomato basil bisque or the soup of the day. Honestly? A dream setup. I ordered the tomato basil bisque with a half OG grilled cheese, and wow... just wow. The soup was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, and the grilled cheese delivered that classic, beautiful cheese pull moment you hope for (and rarely actually get). The cheese had the perfect amount of sharpness and subtle bitterness, balancing everything out so well without being overwhelming.. I seriously could go for one right now! Every bite was comforting and delicious, and I immediately wished I had ordered a full OG sandwich because it was that good. The combo was mouth‑watering, satisfying, and wildly exceeded expectations for a quick lunch stop.
