If you live in Ontario, you're lucky. If you don't, the trip is worth it. This bakery is a hole-in-the-wall treasure. For those who find this a bit expensive, the price is really fair. It's not meant to be a microwavable one you get from the grocery, but a pie baked with love and a lot of thought in them. We got the chicken and curry and the chicken and mushroom pies for this visit. The curry is a bit dry, the the flavor and curry scent is very strong. It's pretty unique in my opinion. The chicken and mushroom sounds more normal but it was just so good. The fillings were so tender and was very saucy, which I like. For this bakery, there's their usual flavors, but the special flavors must be called in advance, so make sure you're aware before you come so you know if you need order ahead of time. The owner was super nice. We told her it was our first time so she was very patient when we browsed around. I also looked at the cookies a bit curiously and she was nice enough to let me try one. Bonus: The cookie was on the harder side with a bit of chewiness. I like harder cookies, so for me it's perfect. On first look, it looks very homemade, but upon biting into it, it was delicious. It had a very comforting flavor, likes of chocolate chips throughout. I regret not buying her pack, but I'll get it next time. If you're not here for the pot pies, I highly recommend the cookies. Happy pie day! I was looking for a spot to celebrate near work and found this place and it was perfect! As the name suggests, the place specializes in pies - both savory and sweet. The lady there was super friendly and helpful, explaining all the pies. As you could imagine, she almost sold out of all her stuff by the time we got there. I let my coworker pick first and she got a chicken pot pie, but I was really excited that she didn't pick the beef bourguignon pie (there was only 1 of each left). I got the beef bourguignon and it was so tasty. The cross is perfectly flaky as well. Just a really great savory pie. They sold out of most of their sweet pies for the day, but I did see a banana cream. I didn't wanna buy a whole pie for myself so I just left it since I work pretty close by. I'm definitely gonna come back and try some other pies. In terms of ambiance, it is a little peculiar because it's a small shop that's located in a place that feels like an industrial business park, but the inside was still cozy. Parking was plentiful so I was able to find a spot pretty much right out front. What a gem especially if you are looking for pies and I can't wait to come back. read more

Tucked away in a business complex, home pie is a hidden gem! This cafe is clean and I believe the owner helped us who was so friendly. We got 1 beef pot pie, 1 chicken pot pie and 1 beef empanada. She even threw in a free chocolate chip cookie for us. The pies were had a lovely flakey crust and the inside was warm and flavorful. It goes really well with her homemade hot sauce so ask for that. The empanadas probably our favorite, with a light and thin exterior and a piping hot flavorful beef interior. Support her business! read more

To put it in perspective, you can go to KFC and get a pot pie for around $7, and that thing is huge, creamy, and will actually fill you up. Definitely a better bang for your buck. It's a small, family run spot operated by a lovely mother-daughter duo, and their apple pie completely blew me away. I haven't tasted one this good in over 4 years! Was kind of last minute looking for a strawberry or peach pie that I needed for a little later in the afternoon. So glad I found this place while doing my pie search! I called around 11am and asked if the pies were ready-made to pick up, but was told they could make either the peach or the strawberry and have it ready by 2 pm. Called again around 1:30pm to confirm the pie was baking and they said it was already ready and they had made both so I had options. Patty was so sweet when I went to go pick up the pie! Delicious! I've been meaning to come by for the past year, but they're only open on the weekdays (which makes sense, as they're located in a business park). I ended up going for a beef sandwich and chicken and mushroom pie to try out. She actually baked the chicken and mushroom pie in front of me, so it was deliciously warm and toasty when I took it home for the hubby and I to try. The beef sandwich was good; lovely beef juices and cooked well. I also appreciated that the bun was not traumatic to the roof of my mouth; nice and soft! But, the star of the show was definitely the chicken and mushroom. Golden, flaky crust. Juicy chicken with plentiful doses of it throughout the pie. Mushrooms as savory and lovely as it could be! Will absolutely be back; I want to try more of their menu! Just need to figure out when I can make it on a weekday. Also, prices are reasonable! Not only was service great, but it was very nice to see that EVERY customer came in and was very polite and kind. I've been to this business previously, but they were sold out of their pies. I finally made it around 2:00 PM ish and was able to find a good selection of pies! I got the Beef Empanada and it was absolutely delicious! As I write this, my mouth is watering because it was so good. I also had a chicken and mushroom pot pie which was tasty. Next time I return I'm going to buy two beef empanadas! The woman who owns and operates the shop is a very very nice woman. I highly recommend going here for lunch or picking up for dinner. My coworkers and I stopped here right after a work meeting. I got a Steak Sandwich, a Chicken and Vegetable Pot pie as well as a cheesecake. The owner is the only one there so if you're ordering anything outside of the pies, I'd say call it in because she's the only one working ! She is such a lovely soul and super sweet! She gave us free cookies for our wait and they were delicious. The steak sandwich was soooo bomb. It was very simple but it was perfect. The pies are delicious. Specialty Pies need 72 hours notice prior to order pick up. So, I made a huge mistake ordering Beef Bourguignon and not asking if they were made in the single small size. Was told on the phone that the pies were 10", and she did not ask me if I wanted the small or 10". I did not see a menu online stating how much the 10" were and I should have asked and was surprised at the bill $69.99 when I picked it up. I could have a full Steak dinner for $69.99! Now that I know there are smaller size I'll stick with the smaller. I would love if the establishment would indicate the size of the pies on their menu. read more
