Came in today and had a Dubai Strawberry Chocolate Cup and a Chocolate Bar Crepe. Both were very good. The chocolate was a little too mellow. Could just barely taste it. This morning, my daughter and I went here for the 1st time! This place is not just chocolate! Look at the menu!!! This place is so absolutely cute and adorable. We went there just before 10 AM and the place was empty. It should be full of people! We were greeted when we got there, which was very nice a lot of places sometimes don't even acknowledge you. We were looking at their screen for the menu items and I told the lady there that the place was so cute. She wound up offering us a little taste of the Cafe de Olla, oh I love that it was very good. My daughter had the strawberry cheesecake crepe which she said was delicious and she liked that it was not overly sweet. I had the no sugar added berries with ricotta and that was tasty. I didn't taste a lot of the ricotta, maybe it's very light but it was delicious. We would definitely return and on Wednesdays they have specials on crêpes. They actually have specials Monday through Friday that are on their Instagram. Lots of cute areas within the shop to take pictures. This is an adorable place to have a baby shower, a birthday, a girls meet up or anything else like a date! Lots of seating and even have two outdoor tables. I thought the prices were very reasonable. Came here today for a chocolate frenzy. My daughter came here so I had to come check it out as well! Lupe & Luis know all about great customer service! Very nice people and super blessed to have met them today. I started out today by trying out there cafe de Olla. It was amazing! Walking into the restaurant, I couldn't believe how big of space was inside and that the store was so clean, well-organized, and had many items! Next, I ordered an Abuelita Frappuccino and a Chocolate Nutella Crêpe. Wow, were these soooooooo gooooood!!! I also ordered four items to go to share with some friends...chocolate chip brownie, Dubai chocolate, chocolate cupcake, and old fashioned chocolate cake! Immediately, I did not feel welcomed. They were setting up the fall decor and completely blocking the front door (you should maybe set up and break down outside of business hours). Then we walk in and there's like 5 workers, but no one said hi to us or asked us if we needed help. I eventually sat down to wait for someone to recognize that we were waiting. The costs have RISEN steadily and I get it but NOW they've ADDED a FEE for a custom item WHICH is what??? As mentioned I don't usually ask for a receipt BUT did compare it a digital receipt I had and the CUSTOM FEES did NOT exist. Is the cake custom?? Or is it the hot cafe de olla?? Maybe the affogato that INCLUDES the ice cream scoop and espresso???? NOT sure but I do KNOW I won't be back. We were in Ontario for an appointment and as usual, I like to try local coffee shops when I am somewhere new. Beforehand, I had asked my friend for coffee shop recs since they were from the area, and they suggested The Chocolate Bar. It was perfect, since it was on our route to the 10 fwy, on Mountain Ave. The Chocolate Bar is literally next to the freeway, so be on the lookout for the plaza entrance or else you'll be on the 10 east. We stopped by around Christmas, and the festive decor was very warm and inviting. The exterior was plain, so we did not expect the inside to be as big as it was, and decorated. There are a few items that one can purchase as gifts or etc. at the front of the store. The Chocolate Bar is more than a coffee shop, it is also a dessert shop especially with the many display cases of sweets and freshly prepared desserts made-to-order as well. For a first timer, it was a bit overwhelming. They offer many specialty drinks and desserts and one can view them on the display, but trying to find prices for the desserts are a different story. I do wish that prices were noted right in front of each dessert because it was a shocker when all I did was ask for the price, but they ended up packaging it and then rung me up. Since we were not heading home directly, I did not end up purchasing it since it was quite warm and it would have melted in the car. I was just inquiring about the price for future visits. Hot Cafe de Olla Hot English Toffee Latte (decaf) We ordered our drinks to go and I did enjoy the Cafe de Olla. Overall, the coffee tasted great. There was plenty of parking in front of the shop on a weekday. They had a chocolate cheesecake, which they also got rid of.
