But the truth is, he's just too excellent at what he does, for us to not tell the world. You know that contractor you have been looking for, for decades, who is honest with you about price and isn't out to "get you". Lou is so honest, so on-top-of it. He's an old school problem solver. He wants to know what the issue is and wants to fix it for you so it's never an issue again. He wants to get to the bottom of it, to truly solve it. I recently had a home vehicle charger, installed. A New 240Volt / 40AMP circuit was run from the wall of my house to the Electric box. The charger unit (a WallBox brand) was hardwired & mounted on the wall near the driveway. Also I had a LED flood light fixture installed above the charger. Lou, of Home Pro was punctual giving me a quote, which was very competitive, and he showed up on time the day of the install, performed the work and was very professional. Thank you Lou for helping us fix all the electrical issues in our home. We first met Lou 2 years ago when he fixed a circuit breaker that kept shutting off. He put our wall AC unit on its own electrical outlet and we never had the issue again. We recently moved and had a handyman try to fix some issues and of course - made it worse. Lou is a great electrician when he wants to be. He has done work for us but his prices are on the higher side. Around Christmas time I was going through a rough time with work as everyone was in 2020. I asked him for a little bit of a discount and he seemed to get upset and said "I'm not going to argue over $50 bucks." and agreed to do the job with the discount but really seemed offended. "You know how you can tell with people, like the energy shifts" mind it this is a $950 Job. I totally forgot about my Chrismas bonus from work and called him a week later and said I have all the funds for you when you start the job so no discount is needed. I didn't take the discount and paid him because I got my bonus from work and like I said, 2020 was bad for everyone. The job was performed and everything we discussed was complete is the reason for the two stars. Here is where things get interesting, We have a pool sub panel that he used to attach a camera. The night after he left I immediately texted him and told him the pool, spa and water lights suddenly stopped working. His response was a story from his experience as a plummer basically telling me it has nothing to do with the work he did and if he came out he would have to give me a trip charge, which I agreed to if he couldn't figure out the problem. Anyways, a couple weeks passes and I forgot about the pool light as work started picking back up and we started having strong winds. I ended up purchasing a generator to hook to my main panel. I called/text a few different times with no response whatsoever. I guess he thought it was due to the pool light he didn't want to fix nor trouble shoot which is shame on Lou and not professional whatsoever. Overall if your going to pay almost a thousand bucks for a job, you would expect some sort of support and service. Regardless, I myself have found a different electrician that laughed at me when I told him how much I was charged for the previous job and the details Lou did. All and all I'll list pros and cons for everyone. Pros: Does good work when he feels like it. Cleans up his mess. Knowledgeable. Very nice when coming out to give quote. Speaks English fluently Cons: No Warranty on Completed Job. Charges a trip charge to come out. Does not resolve Job issues after complete. Pricing is definitely on the higher side. Our under cabinets outlets in our kitchen got short circuited one time as I was using my Braun hand mixer. My AC guy recommended Loutfik who came on time, made his diagnoses and replaced several breakers that were burned out. Everything in the kitchen is working properly now. I think he was fair with his charges.I don't feel I can rate the cost properly because I never asked him to give me a quote over the phone and I am not familiar with the market. Lou and his wonderful colleague Leo did an outstanding job installing two new ceiling fans/heaters in my two bathrooms. My building is 92 years old so it posed a few challenges but they were able to successfully install them without any cosmetic or structural negative side affects. I highly, highly recommend HOME PRO. What's more they were punctual, clean and fastidious about their work. The fans and heaters are working perfectly and I'm so grateful for their expertise and craftsmanship.
