By far the best pizza in Toledo. Eating an entire extra large pizza to myself doesn't seem as bad when it's the thin crust at Home Slice.

The pizza dough is probably the best I have ever had. Disappointed with the toppings. Ordered a two item pizza with extra cheese, very chintzy with the pepperoni and sausage. Couldn't tell there was extra cheese. Ordered by phone and was told a specific time yet I had to wait because "I'm by myself and just put it in" why not tell me that and I wouldn't have shown up when I did. This place was the perfect spot to stop on our way to see the stadium. My great grandfather used to play for the Mudhens so while we were in town I wanted to see the stadium. We were exhausted and thirsty but we couldn't find a Starbucks so we figured we'd park infront of this place, get some drinks and walk over to the stadium. Once inside we decided we could go for a bite to eat and we split a mudhen club. Omg best club I have ever had! It was great! We chatted with the guy working who was super nice and then we left. I now crave that club sandwich! He said its made with locally made bread which I think makes all the difference! The neighborhood is good and it has that little pizza shop feel! I was expecting more for the prices they charged. The pizza was just ok. I knew it was thin crust but it was also a bit soggy. The pizza and calzone were both too salty. Also, the cashier did not get our order right. We didn't realize until we got our food without the cheese bread that I know my husband ordered. We did not feel like waiting so we just left. It wasn't the worst pizza I've had but there are better and cheaper places to get pizza from. I don't think we'll be returning. read more

One of my favorite pizza places in Toledo. They make the pizza where you can see it. Spinning the dough the old fashioned way.

We parked in the back because it was very crowded downtown and we found a spot that had no signage at all so we parked.. we proceeded to get berated by a homeslice employee saying that was employee only parking and that if we stayed we would be towed immediately. Once again there was literally no signage at all. He was extremely rude, physically threatened us, and escalated the situation much further than necessary. Why would anyone want to be treated like that and want to stay there? Never again. Its called customer service, give it a try read more

When we get delivered pizza i can eat one maybe 2 slices of pizza....with Home slice I can eat 3-4 easily and still not feel icky full...I love the sauce i love the cheese i love the crust....just love the pizza....don't get it often because we have to get so many to feed a family of 4 but it's a nice night out treat with the hubby! read more

I finally checked out Home Slice. This is definitely some of the best pizza I have had in Toledo, and I eat a lot of pizza. They actually season the pizza so it's not just a bland mess of melted cheese and soggy bread like many pizza places in Toledo. We got a margherita and a bbq chicken. I've only ever had their pizza so I can only comment on that. It's very good, however, do not eat here if you want to get full. With that said, it's nice to be able to eat pizza and not want to throw up afterwards. It's super thin crust and it just hits the spot without leaving you bloated and wishing you hadn't eaten it. It's reasonably prices and pizza's are half off on Tuesdays from 5-11 I believe, it's worth a visit. Like I said though, don't expect to feed starving mouths with this pizza, it's good for a casual light date or late snack. read more

Home-slice pizza is amazing. The bar staff is very unorganized. Winfield (the bartender) was remarkably rude to our group. We had placed an order with another bartender Saturday evening for a half pepperoni/half cheese pizza. Winfield delivered a meat and mushrooms pizza to our area and I informed him that was NOT what we ordered. Winfield fought me on the subject and was extremely rude. He's response to me was "It must be the alcohol, because that was what you had ordered." Where at that point of the evening, I had only consumed 1 shot of Rumchata and I was finishing a glass of red wine. I was not inebriated by any means and I knew what type of pizza I had ordered. Within 2 minutes our server, brought over the correct order (our half pepperoni/half cheese pizza). Winfield never apologized, he walked away, and never came back to our area. We did not pay for the mess up but the attitude was enough to make us avoid the restaurant for awhile. read more

A co-worker and I wanted something different for lunch so we went for pizza! I called ahead to see if the lunch specials were ready or if we needed to pre-order. For two slices of pepperoni pizza, I assumed it might be ready without ordering it special. Once I get on the phone of course everyone wants to see the menu. I asked the guy if he wanted me to call back. Sarcastically, he replied, "no, I have nothing better to do." Ha.... or was he being rude (still not sure at this point in the experience).... we ended up ordering a couple strombolis (they were excellent- highly recommend them!) When we picked up our food I recognized the guy's voice so I said "oh, you must have been the guy who took our order".... then my sarcasm vs rude debate was confirmed... "oh you are the annoying girl who ordered this".... what?!?!?! Even if I was "annoying" by calling ahead and asking a question, you don't say that to a customer. Great Stromboli, rude employees. At least they know how to make great food. read more
