Really mixed feeling about this Goodwill! I've been…read moreperusing and pursuing secondhand stores long before they became a trendy thing of the present, and I'm not sure why this Goodwill made me feel some kind of way. Seeing the overflow of extremely, larger than dumpster sized trash carriers, overflowing with clothing and other stuff gave me a realization: some of the stuff I'm touching (and considering purchasing) has been sitting in those bins for a minute- a long minute- through inclement weather, gross infestations, and whatever other grossly things my mind really doesn't want to think about. If you can find a $2 treasure, sure, it's a great deal compared to the Goodwill stores and yes, buying recycled goods is helping the environment, but let's be honest- I don't know who is considerate of the environment over their own selfish desires of consumerism. Anyway---- I probably won't return for the simple fact of being told to "stand behind the yellow line", "Stand behind the black line" during my shopping experience- then given instructions about how and when to approach the newly swapped out bin. Felt like I was treated like some kind of criminal in a prison experiment. I've never been in prison, but imagined this Goodwill closely resembled what I imagined it might be like (if there was a prison for Goodwill shoppers).

Not sure why my pictures didn't upload…read more Either way, this place is quite nice as far as thrift/vintage stores go. You're paying a bit more than you might at other places, but these items are cleaner and better curated for sure! They have a wide variety of items as well, and in all it was an enjoyable adventure. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a vintage bargain. :)

Beacon House is this very large thrift store. Walking into it, you're immediately amazed at just…read morehow large it is and how much stuff they offer. Truly, they really have a lot of stuff! This thrift store is very well organized. Perhaps that's one of the most interesting things about it. They even have their clothing organized by size. So, this makes shopping for that vintage piece of clothing much easier. This is something that few other thrift stores do. And, it's really appreciated. Because, it makes the whole shopping experience, not only easier but more enjoyable. Beacon House has far more than just clothing, however. This shop is stuffed full of all kinds of everything else, from electronics, to kitchen goods, to musical items, to LPs, cassette tapes, pretty much anything you can think of, they've got something. As is the case with all thrift stores, the inventory at this business is constantly changing. So, going in here one day may be very different from going in the next day. You will never know what you're gonna find. And, that's what makes this business a really unique shopping experience. So, if you're one of those people that enjoy going to thrift shops, seeking out antiques, vintage items, discarded items that nobody really cared about, or pretty much anything else, this is a great place to go. Of all the thrift stores in the area, this is definitely one of the best.
