Coffee is still a work in progress for yours truly, but I've found solace in their nitro cold brew, which is an effective pick-me-up for the morning + afternoon boost. An added dash of sweetness and milk is the golden pecan, which is another favorite. Another bonus? Latte art is most definitely on point. Their seasonal and constantly rotating menu is a brunch worthy, but not particularly destination worthy. From croissant sandwiches to avocado toast, they've done aa decent job at keeping everything presentable and quality. The daily pastry selection is also a variable and being out of danishes and muffins by mid afternoon is a real possibility. OMG!!! I can't believe I've never been here before! We had the breakfast croissant, and it was absolutely delicious!!! That sauce they put on there deserves a chef's kiss! Mwwwaaah!!! We also had an orange cranberry muffin that was so warm, moist, and scrumptious that it was the perfect exclamation point on a wonderful breakfast! I have to say the owner and baristas were truly warm and friendly to us, and very accommodating. You could tell there were lots of regulars by the conversations they had with the owner, and the inside was packed! I have not been to homebrew in YEARS. I remember it being mid, but my friend said it has changed a lot, and it's one of her favorite places to go. We went on a Wednesday morning around 9am, and I was surprised by how packed it was! The menu was very impressive!!! So many wonderful items to choose from. I got the golden pecan iced latte. Smooth and nutty. I enjoyed it. I also got the strawberry ricotta toast, which was delicious. The strawberries were fresh, the toast was crispy, and the honey added extra sweetness to the already sweet strawberries. Everything blended so well together. Loved it and would get it again. First off, the food is really good. That's why the restaurant is packed on Saturday morning, I mean line almost out the door packed. If you plan on take-out though, don't expect it quickly. In my case this morning, the order was payed for online. The restaurant received the order, but the kitchen didn't get the ticket. Ten minutes later I received the order. "Do you want a drink carrier?", "Two strawberry drinks, and one toast." That's it. I know I'm old-fashioned, but I think that even a sideways look and "sorry" should have been offered. It is family run and the owners/staff take the time to get to know the people that frequent here which is nice. Plenty of parking in front, it's a free lot. Not sure if they are always this busy at 10:30 or if it is because it is the first day of spring break but most of the tables were full which was ok since I planned to sit outside. I ordered the breakfast croissant and it was big and flavorful. When was the last time you smelled a breakfast croissant? I have never and as soon as she places it on the tables I could smell how good it was going to be. The croissant was crispy, filled with fluffy eggs (only way I'll eat eggs is in a sandwich) with bacon and sausage. The hollandaise sauce gave it the extra kick that it needed. I haven't been here in a while but what I do remember is that it was very cozy. Have never had the food but the drinks are good. I really wanted to comment on the service. My son and I had just finished at Taekwondo next door and it began to pour. We were about to make a run for it when one of the servers came out while closing up and very motherly offered to walk us to our car using the PATIO UMBRELLA! Went for breakfast this morning. The food was good, but the coffee was amazing. I had the Pistachio Mocha Latte with oat milk and my husband had the Vietnamese coffee. Both were so good. Far West area is definitely an area that I didnt expect to get a kitschy and trendy coffee spot like this. Truly thought I was in the loop with how well put together the interior and branding was here. Wood tones and a letterboard style menu; the vibes the millennials with families who want to remember their younger days are captured here. Kid friendly area with some hot dishes and fresh pastries. I just stopped in for a to-go coffee for my wife, but I liked the packaging and taste of the drink and muffins. A friend recommended this shop to me and I was not disappointed. I came in on a Sunday morning and it was nice and quiet, empty because it was early I assume. But it was clean. I was about to order a caramel latte, instead the barista recommended me the Golden Pecan latte. I said sure, but if you could do decaf espresso. She said absolutely so she rung me up and it was a bit more expensive than I had expected. I realized she had charged me extra for an additional shot of decaf espresso on the side. We talked and she was so friendly and sweet about it. Instead of refunding me, she asked if I wanted anything from the bakery. She recommended me the lemon cranberry muffin. It wasn't normally something I order but I was down to try new things. The Golden Pecan was good, a bit on the sweeter side, the lemon cranberry muffin was delicious. I didn't know their hours and instead of approaching us and kindly letting us know, they flashed the lights and avoided eye contact. There was a guy playing the keyboard in the right corner, different groups of people chit chatting. It was BUSY. I ordered the breakfast croissant. I didn't know it was $9.75. I was expecting $6.95. I still ordered it anyway. Boy oh boy am I glad I did! It was well worth the premium! The croissant was toasted perfectly. The eggs were soft and had a good texture. The bacon was CRISPY and you can't ever go wrong with sausage. However, the star of the show was the mayo! It was creamy, and had a nice sweetness to it. I believe the mayo was homemade.
