As someone who frequents the Buzz and Bites in Spring Branch since it is right around the corner from my house, I was excited when my job moved into a new office just one street over from the Katy location. I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. I love that this location keeps the cozy Buzz and Bites feel while also leaning into a slightly more elevated vibe with the bar and patio seating. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the great food and drinks, I can already tell this will become a regular lunch spot now that it is so close to our office. read more

Came in again for a coffee and a drink with a friend for breakfast around 11am on a sunday. Place was pretty busy but no wait and they have the patio as well. Took a while to get served but excellent staff. More direction is needed to scan tables especially when your server walks by several times and sees your glasses are empty and we still were not asked what we wanted to order after 20 minutes. I could see the staff were bust but something needs to be reigned in her on serving tables. Great staff though, excellent. The food is phenomenal but we left this time to go somewhere else after having our one coffee in an hour. read more

I visited Buzz & Bites with a group of four, and the experience was pretty mixed. The wait to be seated wasn't too bad -- about 15 minutes -- and the place had a nice steady flow of people coming in and out without feeling overly packed. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We sat for about 15-20 minutes before even getting water, and we had to ask for basic things like a fork and napkins (which we ended up grabbing ourselves). The biggest disappointment was the food timing: everyone at my table received their meals, and mine didn't come out until about 20 minutes later. By then, I didn't even want it anymore and just picked off someone else's plate. What I did try from my friend's dish was decent, but the overall experience definitely wasn't a highlight. There were a lot of staff members standing around, so it was confusing why everything took so long. Not somewhere I'd rush back to, but hopefully they improve the service and timing because the atmosphere had potential. read more

When you go there, you'll think it's a coffee shop with an identity crisis. It's not a traditional breakfast place. You know where you sit down, you're waited on, and they bring you coffee along with water. You grab a menu, get in line, and place your order. The food was great. The breakfast platter I ordered had crispy bacon and potatoes along with eggs. I'm a black coffee drinker and they had some pretty damn good coffee. The White Mocha was too sweet. If you like your drink sugary, then definitely get this one. White Mocha's are like in general, but this one was a bit over the top. read more

We came in for brunch. It was medium busy, but they had lots of staff, enough to have someone rolling silverware the entire time we were there. After nearly 10 minutes our server came to take our order. She was unsmiling and generally unpleasant. Our drinks were ok, but our food was not. French toast came out with margarine, some sort of syrup and missing the powdered sugar. When I requested butter they brought out melted something. I was also told they did not have maple syrup as listed on the menu. By now the decidedly limp toast wasn't even warm so I decided to just have coffee. There was no salt or pepper and the server never brought it when we requested it, the omelet was ok, but eggs seemed to be from a carton rather than a shell. Our food came out in 3 waves (there were 5 of us). We've been here before and enjoyed the food. Hopefully this is just a bad day and not a trend. read more

Updated Review: It's been a while but I enjoyed nice brunch here yesterday with my family. The eggs are still made fresh to order and perfect texture. Order the Avocado Bacon croissant with this special mayo was really good. Always, had my favorite lavender honey latte. Our group ordered other brunch entrees which were also delicious. I'm happy to share the food quality is consistent and service of waitress was good. It's nice location for light breakfast. Big juicy patty, crisp bacon strips, pickled onions, cheddar cheese. All so good. Not sure what the bun was, but it was strait up good. French fries are hand cut, thin and crispy. 10/4/2025: We had a surprise party for my friend at B&B. We had 16 people on the patio. The service was okay. I don't think they are equipped for large groups. This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure how well we would be received having such a large group. There is plenty of parking on the shopping center style lot. The inside has tables that seat 6 max, so I would say this is a smaller crowd type place. The space is pretty small, but again, it is a coffee shop first and foremost. The menu is larger than I expected. They have paninis, burgers, salads, and more. Their wine by the glass is pricy. $12.50 for one glass. I expect that when dining at a restaurant, but the first word in there signage is COFFEE, so I didn't see dollar signs in my head when I ordered a glass of wine in a place like this. All in all, I don't live in the area and the vibe is not my style, so I will probably not be back. I am not a coffee shop type person. This place was close to the house and I've been wanting to love it! It has short hours, seems like it closes around 2 or 3...still nonetheless, it has wine and craft beers and an excellent breakfast/brunch menu! My selection was the Spicy Asian Chicken Panini w/ a substitute of chips with fries. $1 up charge . I ordered the rishi tea, Peppermint. I love tea so I was happy to get something non caffeinated. The taste : can't put my finger on it but it was great , the combo of spicy aioli sauce with the cucumbers were a hit. Very fresh and spicy. Wasn't unbearable. I think the sandwich would be a 10/10 if a little ginger was added on the sandwich lol ... I cooked so I love ginger with cucumbers . The fries were fresh and crispy. The waitress took 15-20 minutes to get our Coke and Coffee despite seeing her chatting away with other coworkers. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant but received a bacon, egg and avocado croissant. Management needs to set better expectations for leading staff. Came here for brunch around 1230. Absolutely no wait-- got sat immediately. Very well lit restaurant with plenty of natural sunlight from the large windows. Modern decor with navy and gold color scheme. Large bar area with seemingly plenty of staff. With that being said, our waitress was lacking. My pregnant wife had just returned from the restroom (which she went to immediately after arriving at the restaurant) when our waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed more time. Then we don't see her again for another 10-15 min, after she takes the order of another nearby table that was sat after us. We ordered 2 drinks- ube cloud and espresso martini, as well as 2 paninis- chicken Tuscan and Asian zing chicken. We were seeing tables around us get their drinks quickly and they ordered after us. We asked our waitress to check on the status of our drinks. She never came back to provide us a status! At least another 5-10 min goes by before we had to ask another staff to check on our drink order. We ended up getting our entrees before our drinks ever arrived. Then the 2nd staff finally brought our drinks out. Our waitress never came back to apologize for the wait when it was clear that she had forgotten to place the drink order-- her avoidant behavior is what really frustrated us. We wanted transparency on our order status. The drinks themselves were great. Ube flavor wasn't too overpowering and the espresso martini was strong and creamy. The home made chips were good, nothing amazing. Paninis came on amazing ciabatta bread! Chicken was seasoned well and wasn't too dry or overly cooked. My Asian zing panini was really just a Vietnamese banh mi on ciabatta bread. Ube cloud 5/5 Espresso martini 4.5/5 Chicken Tuscan panini 4/5 Asian zing chicken panini 4/5 Honest overall grade would have been 3.5/5 primarily due to the waitress. Honestly very impressed. Feels like a nice modern cafe on the inside. Very a typical for the area that it is in. Not too busy when I went for a late lunch. The soup was great. The grilled chicken panini is really good for those who are looking to cut calories. Probably want to sub the chips. The chips are good though. The avocado toast sampler was great! The grilled cheese paired perfectly with the soup, and the Mediterranean toast and smoked salmon avocado toast were amazing! The matcha tea latte and chai tea battle were on the sweeter side. Love the decor and theme of bees and food. Walking in, you'll notice a clean and updated place that invites you to spend a few hours here. Particularly if you got some work to do. It is a walk up counter and the coffee menu is easy to read. Their coffee have many unique flavors and if you want to stick to the basics, they got that for you too. The staff are quick and attentive. Their food is also pretty legit looking. I never really order food in the morning since I'm not exactly hungry but I'll have to eventually try it out. This place has been on my radar for quite a long time and we finally made it today. Okay, so the food is the star here. We started with Strawberry Lemon and Berry Berry Hibiscus teas made with sweet tea. Those helped with our starters where we ordered the Crispy Shrimp (slight background spicy) and Berry Spinach salad (extra vinaigrette). Both were excellent and we'd order again next time. For the main course we both ordered the Rosa Penne Pasta with Jumbo Shrimp which looked good (shrimp, crawfish, mushrooms, garlic cream sauce and marinara sauce). Mr. Picky liked it a lot, but I think I'll try something different next time. The small crostini with it tasted pretty good, not a throwaway. As to dessert, we decided on the Banana Fosters Waffle and Lava cake with ice-cream. The latter needs to be called something else in the menu because there's no lava at all in their version; and there also was no rum flavor on the waffle, just what tasted like plain syrup to me. With tip, I'm guessing the three courses and two teas apiece ran about $120, and for that kind of money I'd prefer actual floor wait service instead of having to stand at the front register to order and pay. Think about it. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Then we ordered the second round of drinks. Followed by another visit to the register to order and pay for the entrees. And then another time for desserts. Not to mention when five of us were trying to fit into the small space; one way to make friends as you bump into each other. LOL :-) Overall, a good experience and the staff was very nice. Desserts cost them a point and they need to put new upholstery on the dining chairs. read more

Met up with a friend for lunch here yesterday and we really enjoyed our time at Buzz & Bites!! First off, this place is SO CUTE! It's bee themed so everything is black and yellow. There's also lots of seating all around the restaurant, even a secret little back room. This place can either be going for a bite to eat or even to bring your laptop and work. I got the Stinger Burger & my friend got the pasta with meat balls. Let me tell you, that burger was delicious!!! I loved the carmalized onions with the aoli. Also the jalapeños were a chefs kiss!
