I have lived near this establishment for almost 2 years now and have never tried it. So today we decided to give it a try and it was worth it 100%. They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. Another pleasant surprise in what I'm going to arbitrarily designate as a brunch fusion menu. Firstly, it's a very nice layout. Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. In so far as the buzz is concerned, there are wines and beer available and really quite an extensive menu in both. I enjoyed a beer with mine, which I know it sounds like an odd combination, but it worked quite well for me. Really this is a wonderful addition to Katy options for breakfast or brunch. read more

As someone who frequents the Buzz and Bites in Spring Branch since it is right around the corner from my house, I was excited when my job moved into a new office just one street over from the Katy location. I had been watching this one being built for a while and was especially curious to try it since this location has a full bar, which adds a really fun twist to the traditional coffee shop concept. I stopped in for lunch and decided to sit out on the patio which ended up being the perfect choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, bright, and inviting with a nice open feel that makes it easy to slow down and actually enjoy your meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in and everything moved quickly and smoothly. I ordered the guava mimosa and it was SO good. Light, refreshing, and honestly the perfect daytime drink. For food I had the chicken avocado wrap and substituted the chips for truffle fries and both were SOOOOO good. The wrap was fresh, warm, and packed with flavor and the truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade. I love that this location keeps the cozy Buzz and Bites feel while also leaning into a slightly more elevated vibe with the bar and patio seating. Between the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the great food and drinks, I can already tell this will become a regular lunch spot now that it is so close to our office. read more

Came in again for a coffee and a drink with a friend for breakfast around 11am on a sunday. Place was pretty busy but no wait and they have the patio as well. Took a while to get served but excellent staff. More direction is needed to scan tables especially when your server walks by several times and sees your glasses are empty and we still were not asked what we wanted to order after 20 minutes. I could see the staff were bust but something needs to be reigned in her on serving tables. Great staff though, excellent. I visited Buzz & Bites with a group of four, and the experience was pretty mixed. The wait to be seated wasn't too bad -- about 15 minutes -- and the place had a nice steady flow of people coming in and out without feeling overly packed. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We sat for about 15-20 minutes before even getting water, and we had to ask for basic things like a fork and napkins (which we ended up grabbing ourselves). The biggest disappointment was the food timing: everyone at my table received their meals, and mine didn't come out until about 20 minutes later. By then, I didn't even want it anymore and just picked off someone else's plate. What I did try from my friend's dish was decent, but the overall experience definitely wasn't a highlight. There were a lot of staff members standing around, so it was confusing why everything took so long. When you go there, you'll think it's a coffee shop with an identity crisis. It's not a traditional breakfast place. You know where you sit down, you're waited on, and they bring you coffee along with water. You grab a menu, get in line, and place your order. The food was great. The breakfast platter I ordered had crispy bacon and potatoes along with eggs. I'm a black coffee drinker and they had some pretty damn good coffee. The White Mocha was too sweet. I got a decent burger here, and it's one of the rare places in Katy that stays open throughout the day as a "cafe and bar," which I enjoy. 10/4/2025: We had a surprise party for my friend at B&B. We had 16 people on the patio. The service was okay. I don't think they are equipped for large groups. This was my first time here, so I wasn't sure how well we would be received having such a large group. There is plenty of parking on the shopping center style lot. The inside has tables that seat 6 max, so I would say this is a smaller crowd type place. The space is pretty small, but again, it is a coffee shop first and foremost. The menu is larger than I expected. They have paninis, burgers, salads, and more. Their wine by the glass is pricy. $12.50 for one glass. I expect that when dining at a restaurant, but the first word in there signage is COFFEE, so I didn't see dollar signs in my head when I ordered a glass of wine in a place like this. All in all, I don't live in the area and the vibe is not my style, so I will probably not be back. I am not a coffee shop type person. The reviews led us here, however our high hopes were immediately let down. Service was slow despite not being super busy. The waitress took 15-20 minutes to get our Coke and Coffee despite seeing her chatting away with other coworkers. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant but received a bacon, egg and avocado croissant. Management needs to set better expectations for leading staff. Came here for brunch around 1230. Absolutely no wait-- got sat immediately. Very well lit restaurant with plenty of natural sunlight from the large windows. Modern decor with navy and gold color scheme. Large bar area with seemingly plenty of staff. With that being said, our waitress was lacking. My pregnant wife had just returned from the restroom (which she went to immediately after arriving at the restaurant) when our waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed more time. Then we don't see her again for another 10-15 min, after she takes the order of another nearby table that was sat after us. We ordered 2 drinks- ube cloud and espresso martini, as well as 2 paninis- chicken Tuscan and Asian zing chicken. We were seeing tables around us get their drinks quickly and they ordered after us. We asked our waitress to check on the status of our drinks. She never came back to provide us a status! At least another 5-10 min goes by before we had to ask another staff to check on our drink order. We ended up getting our entrees before our drinks ever arrived. Then the 2nd staff finally brought our drinks out. Our waitress never came back to apologize for the wait when it was clear that she had forgotten to place the drink order-- her avoidant behavior is what really frustrated us. We wanted transparency on our order status. The drinks themselves were great. Ube flavor wasn't too overpowering and the espresso martini was strong and creamy. The home made chips were good, nothing amazing. Paninis came on amazing ciabatta bread! Chicken was seasoned well and wasn't too dry or overly cooked. My Asian zing panini was really just a Vietnamese banh mi on ciabatta bread. Ube cloud 5/5 Espresso martini 4.5/5 Chicken Tuscan panini 4/5 Asian zing chicken panini 4/5 Honest overall grade would have been 3.5/5 primarily due to the waitress. The grilled chicken panini is really good for those who are looking to cut calories. Probably want to sub the chips. The chips are good though. The avocado toast sampler was great! The grilled cheese paired perfectly with the soup, and the Mediterranean toast and smoked salmon avocado toast were amazing! The matcha tea latte and chai tea battle were on the sweeter side. Buzz & Bites is my favorite houston coffee shop. Hands down, my favorite place. There's also lots of seating all around the restaurant, even a secret little back room. This place can either be going for a bite to eat or even to bring your laptop and work. I got the Stinger Burger & my friend got the pasta with meat balls. Let me tell you, that burger was delicious!!! I loved the carmalized onions with the aoli. Also the jalapeños were a chefs kiss! Love the decor and theme of bees and food. Walking in, you'll notice a clean and updated place that invites you to spend a few hours here. Particularly if you got some work to do. It is a walk up counter and the coffee menu is easy to read. Their coffee have many unique flavors and if you want to stick to the basics, they got that for you too. The staff are quick and attentive. Their food is also pretty legit looking. I never really order food in the morning since I'm not exactly hungry but I'll have to eventually try it out. This place has been on my radar for quite a long time and we finally made it today. Okay, so the food is the star here. We started with Strawberry Lemon and Berry Berry Hibiscus teas made with sweet tea. Those helped with our starters where we ordered the Crispy Shrimp (slight background spicy) and Berry Spinach salad (extra vinaigrette). Both were excellent and we'd order again next time. For the main course we both ordered the Rosa Penne Pasta with Jumbo Shrimp which looked good (shrimp, crawfish, mushrooms, garlic cream sauce and marinara sauce). Mr. Picky liked it a lot, but I think I'll try something different next time. The small crostini with it tasted pretty good, not a throwaway. As to dessert, we decided on the Banana Fosters Waffle and Lava cake with ice-cream. The latter needs to be called something else in the menu because there's no lava at all in their version; and there also was no rum flavor on the waffle, just what tasted like plain syrup to me. With tip, I'm guessing the three courses and two teas apiece ran about $120, and for that kind of money I'd prefer actual floor wait service instead of having to stand at the front register to order and pay. Think about it. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Then we ordered the second round of drinks. Followed by another visit to the register to order and pay for the entrees. And then another time for desserts. Not to mention when five of us were trying to fit into the small space; one way to make friends as you bump into each other. LOL :-) Overall, a good experience and the staff was very nice. Desserts cost them a point and they need to put new upholstery on the dining chairs. read more
